CANCELLATION POLICY
There are no refunds unless the range of dates specified in the contract and the total amount is recovered through another rental contract. If the property is able to be rented for the same time period at the same rate, Five Star Tamarindo will refund all payments minus a 20% administrative fee. If Five Star Tamarindo cannot re-rent the property outside of 30 days, the company keeps the full booking deposit. If the cancellation comes inside the 30 days prior to the reservation and Five Star Tamarindo cannot re-rent, the company will reserve the right to keep the full payment.

"Costa Rican paradise
Our vacation was amazing. We were two families, a total of 12 people, with 6 kids. The kids loved the pool and slide, and went swimming every day. We enjoyed being able to cook dinner at home, which was honestly more enjoyable than eating out due to the heat and humidity. Waking up the breakfast was amazing, and having a staff help with keeping the house clean and tidy was a wonderful. The use of the golf carts made getting to the beach and town super easy. Would definitely recommend Villa Sozo."

""Best Vacation Ever"
The home and staff exceeded all expectations. The home is beautiful and very well maintained. We loved the location - the beach and activities are close enough to walk, but high enough in the hills to take in the breathtaking vistas of the ocean and sunsets, and still enjoy the peaceful evenings. The 5-Star Tamarindo team (Romi, Yvette and Dievy) was very friendly, helpful and responsive. They really made our time special - from helping find and book amazing activities, to serving the best breakfasts, to just keeping the home and property spotless. Even when we needed someone to check out one of the air conditioners, Romi got someone to the house and it was fixed very quickly. As far as activities, we loved the Rincon de la Vieja and waterfall hikes with Ariel from The Costa Group, surf lessons with Manrique from Salty Sol, ATV tour with Juan from 506, and Isla Capitan Kayak/snorkeling tour with Martinez at El Chiringuito. Everyone agreed that it was our "best vacation ever!" Thank you!"

I had the pleasure of staying at this magnificent villa, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, we were WOWED by the villa’s stunning design and unreal views/atmosphere. The attention to detail in the aesthetic was remarkable, creating a truly zen and relaxing environment.
One of the highlights of our experience was the exceptional staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Romi, in particular, is outstanding. Her warm hospitality and attentiveness made our trip truly special. She truly is the BEST.
Breakfast each morning was so delicious and fresh. The house staff was so sweet and friendly preparing everything and the quality of the food was superb, and it was clear that great love and care went into preparing each meal.

"Awesome villa for a big group
We loved staying at Villa Sozo! Very spacious, modern, perfect lightning, decoration, location and the service of our housemom was great. Having breakfast at the villa was one of the highlights there.
We enjoyed the swimming pool area with the slide, jacuzzi and the different spots to hang out.
The facilities in the house are great, game room, gym, ping-pong,fire pit, BBQ, among others.
I recommend it for large families, groups of friends, multi-gen trips.
You have a concierge to take care of your needs during your stay, highly recommended to hire a chef so you can enjoy more this beautiful property.

"Vacation of a Lifetime
Sozo is unmatched. Our family has spent the last decade traveling the world and have never had an experience like we had had Sozo in Tamarindo. The minute we arrived we were greeted by our shuttle drivers in style with new top line, and spotless shuttle vans. When the gates to the property of Sozo opened, Paradise really began. We were greeted by the most kind and professional staff we have ever experienced. My wife, children, and I actually shared lots of hugs and tears with the entire staff the day we left,They are absolutely amazing, and became family after eight days ☺️. Sozo is an impeccable condition, and the most beautiful home we have ever stepped foot in. The pool was the main attraction overlooking the ocean. The adults in our group had equally as much fun as the children jumping from the waterfall into the pool, listening to Sonos with a Costa Rican cocktail while the kiddos made laps down the slide. There’s not a bad room in the house. Every room is absolutely beautiful with beds more comfortable than back at home. The two 6-seater lifted golf carts are so great. We took these into town and the beach multiple times a day, no more than a three minute ride. Words & pictures we saw online do not hardly do justice. We will be back!!"

"We Love Villa Sozo!
We had such an amazing time at Villa Sozo in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We took the trip with 19 family members (9 adults and 10 kids) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. The breakfasts each morning were perfect, fresh and plentiful. The Villa is gorgeous and has everything you would need/want for a fun vacation! You are a 5 minute golf cart ride to the beach which was perfect for surfing for all levels and just gorgeous. The guys from the house would set up a canopy and beach chairs for us whenever we wanted. The villa is right off the main strip of Tamarindo so it is a quiet location but close to all the shops and restaurants if you wanted to explore. We felt very safe the entire time and the management company is a text away to answer any questions or give recommendations. We hired a chef to cook dinner every night at the villa so we could all meet up and talk about our day. The deep sea fishing off Tamarindo is superb as well. We hope to visit this amazing property sometime in the near future!"

Our group of 20 had an amazing time at Villa Sozo. The house is gorgeous and very spacious. The pool was large and the kids loved the large duck pool toys that the staff so graciously inflated for them. Concierge team was very helpful in setting up our activities of a private boat, eco adventure park, jet skiing, and chef services. Golf carts made it easy to get to the beach which was 3 mins away. The beach views and house amenities made it hard to leave the house. Would highly recommend."

Only have good things to say about Villa Sozo and the management team. The property is modern, spacious, clean, has all the amenities you could need, the best views, and in a great location. "Amazing Family Property
Absolutely beautiful house. Everything you could possibly want. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. Bathrooms were spotless and luxurious. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were plenty of common spaces to play and hang out. We had a group of 17 and there was more than enough room. The kids played all day in the pool. "Pura Vida
Where do I start? There were 21 of us ranging from ages 5 months to 73-years-old. The house is absolutely one of the most Beautiful homes ever!! The level of detail from floating stairs, pool window, ceiling inserts, interior rock bed, stone sculptures walkway, fish aquarium (with an eel) and the list goes on, is AMAZING. The outdoor area is an oasis where we spent countless hours. Kids and adults took a dive from the top infinity pool to the bottom pool and enjoyed the slide. The gardens were meticulously maintained. THE owner’s suite was probably my favorite. There are very few words to describe it but breathless fits perfectly.
The staff was great. Yvette and her entourage spent countless hours ensuring the home was clean and breakfast was delicious each morning. Breakfast is included each day with the exception of your final day.The gentleman who covered the grounds ensured the outdoor area was mopped, clean, pruned garden, and more. Ana and her staff ensured our needs were met and answered all of our questions before arriving and during our trip. We encountered two issues, clogged toilet and cool water hot tub. A technician was sent to repair within 24 hours.
We hired a private chef each night, Pure Dream. The presentation and dinner was very good! We ate lunch at a nearby restaurant, Joe’s and watched World Cup. Food and waiter was very good. The activities alongside the beach were a good addition. We participated in horseback riding, soccer with the restaurant workers, massages which were two of the best masseuse encountered and enjoyed the beach.
The excursions were fun and we hired a recommended photographer, Genna. She is such a sweet lady and provided some of the most beautiful pictures. We would use each one of the recommendations again on our next visit. The overall experience was one for the books that we will cherish for a lifetime. To the owner, this home allowed us to create some great memories!

"Absolutely amazing
I really can't say enough amazing things about the property or the staff. If you have kids, they'll love jumping off the main level down into the pool all day long. My parents (in their 70s) did the same, and even rode the water slide! The decor and design of the home are nothing like you've experienced in a "rental". High end touches are everywhere. The staff took care of breakfast every day, even having smoothies ready for us when we returned from an excursion. I could go on and on. Just trust me... it's amazing. "

"fabulous week
A fabulous week with a group of 19 adults and children. The pool was used almost constantly. The house staff were friendly, and very responsive. The included breakfasts were wonderful, with lots of variety. We loved playing in the ocean, although it felt safer on weekdays, when there were not as many surfers mixed in with the swimmers. The golf cart was very helpful--we should have rented another. The managers were very helpful in recommending and arranging for activities, restaurants, photographers, and even a chef. A PERFECT 50th anniversary celebration."

"Absolute Paradise
The house was AMAZING! Seriously, Costa Rica was beautiful but our family cannot stop talking about the house and the service that Five Star provided. "Fantastic!
What an amazing place. Views are spectacular, and this house was the nicest place we have ever stayed at. Kitchen and living areas were excellently appointed, the bedrooms were awesome, and the pool was unlike any other we’ve ever swam in. The kids spent hours going down the slide, jumping off the waterfall, swimming by the window, and throwing balls around. We had 10 people here for a family reunion, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Ana and Natalia were great at setting up dinner reservations, a private chef, zip lining, and a catamaran cruise. Yvette and crew cooked awesome breakfasts and took care of everything in the house. We would definitely stay here again. Fantastic vacation. "

"Yes! Believe the hype!
Yes! This home really is more magnificent in person. The architecture and décor is stunning. The pool and grounds were gorgeous. Internet service was strong. The house is up on a hill with a beautiful view of the ocean and nightly sunsets. The staff is wonderful, very responsive and ready to help with meals, excursions, massages and even in-house covid-19 tests for our return flights. We were spoilt rotten! Nothing less will every satisfy us again. We would like to transport this home and its staff wherever we go.
The location is also great. The walk to the beach was a hilly 0.4-0.5 miles. located walking distance to lots of restaurants and stores and a small market. The large grocery store (Automercado) is also close by. No negatives to report!"

"Trip of a lifetime!
Villa Sozo was an absolute dream come true. The house is immaculate and so well laid out. We had a group of 17, with children ranging from 7-18 years. We had more than enough room for everyone to have space. All couples (4 of us) were able to have a master suite, with king bed and ensuite bathroom. The young kids took the bunk room, and absoultey loved it. Beds and bedding were luxurious!
In all honesty, the pictures don't do this home justice. It truly took our breath away when we walked in. The house is much bigger than it appears, and is more sprawling than you would think.
Ana and Natalia were amazing, and there to answer any questions, and set up all of our excursions, golf carts, dinner reservations, etc...Anytime I would reach out to them, we would get a response right away. Natalia came to the house every morning to check on us, and was there while breakfast was cooked. The housekeepers were great, and really stayed out of our way, but did an excellent job of cleaning while we were outside, and keeping it tidy. They always had fresh pool and beach towels waiting for us.
Kitchen was very well equipped. We hired a chef two nights, cooked at home two nights, and went out a couple of nights.
House feels extremely safe with house alarm, and a security guard outside from 5 pm - 5 am.
I would recommend renting golf carts for ease of getting to town and beach. We had massages set up at the house, that was a treat! As I mentioned, we rented a chef 2x while we were there (Gaston Garcon) which was fabulous to stay in and enjoy dinner there. The sunsets were the best I have ever seen, and can be viewed right on the patio.
Kids loved the waterslide and spent hours on it. The pool and hot tub were perfect for swimming or lounging.
With the house being so beautiful, we did not do many excursions as we just wanted to enjoy staying at Villa Sozo.

"A Perfect Paradise
The Villa more than met every expectation. Spacious, beautifully designed, comfortable, with every amenity, the pictures can’t do it justice. In fact, with all there is to do in CR, none of us felt the need to leave the expansive deck/terrace by the pool, with its view of the ocean and its overhead fans. The 3-tiered swimming pool complete with slide and waterfall provided all the fun and activity we wanted. Adding to the experience was the wonderful staff at Five Star Tamarindo. Natalia and Mario, with help from their trusted assistants, responded almost instantly to every request and made us feel pampered and cared for. This was an expensive vacation for our extended family of 13, as a reward for surviving a tough couple years, but I can say without a doubt, it was worth every penny. "

"Villa Sozo is truly a DREAM HOUSE
Villa Sozo is an awesome vacation Villa for large families or groups. The home itself is spacious and clean with immaculate details creating an inviting feeling. Every room is finished superbly. Every bedroom is large and equipped with the most plush and comfortable bedding. All in-suite closets and bathrooms are large with double sinks and adequate space for clothes, personal belongings and toiletries. Each shower has an overhead “rain” shower and a powerful hand-held shower head. The kitchen is huge with lots of counter space and every appliance is available. The dining room and table look out over the pool area and Pacific Ocean. The downstairs recreation room has a treadmill, free-weights, ping pong and foosball as well as a TV room. The housekeepers Kiani and others are there 8 hours a day and do a tremendous job with keeping the entire house clean and providing fresh bedding and towels every day. The outdoor grounds and pool area are large and well-kept by Davey, who also does a fantastic job. In fact, Five Star Tamarindo has done a fantastic job with every aspect of the house. Ana and Natalia are FIVE STARS themselves. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning very soon! Thanks for making this vacation truly special."

"A Masterpiece and Super Relaxing Oasis I Will Go To For Years
One word describes this house "WOW"! From the moment we arrived we were well taken care of, from the house cleaners, the chef they arranged for us, to Will who take care of all our adventures. We loved it so much we were working to go back 3 weeks after our week long stay. We will be going back and I won't stay anywhere else. This was the most enjoyable, relaxing and fun vacation I have taken in decades. HIGHLY recommended!"

"Blissful Getaway
This house is everything the pictures show and more! It was the perfect getaway for our mother/daughter group, and I highly recommend upgrading your experience with happy hour service from Karin. She even made smoothies and mocktails for the teens! You can stay in for a private resort feel or walk into town and partake of the local fare. What a dream vacation!"

"Wow, an AMAZING property.
Villa Sozo is more beautiful in person than it is in the photos. Our group of 10 people enjoyed the pools and the views. The house is brand new, without a single blemish or spot. The staff was very helpful and attended to our every need. They picked us up at the airport, had golf carts waiting for us on arrival at the house, made dinner reservations for us, etc."

"Best outdoor space ever!
This house is amazing. The pics don’t do it justice!! We stayed with a group of 20 and had a hard time finding people when we were looking for them. SO MUCH SPACE!
The indoor/outdoor space from the dining, loving room and pool area is insane. Jumping from the lounge pool-hot tub to the lower pool is all the kids wanted to do. An awesome surprise having the window looking underwater into the pool. Pretty sure I saw a mermaid ;)
They went over the top on bedding. My judge of a house is how comfortable the beds and bedding are. 5 stars!
Pacific Ocean Sunset views every night and a true 5 min walk to the beach. We will be back as soon as we can.
Mario, Nat and crew are all amazing. Thanks for memories and opportunity to get some much needed sanity back in a Covid Crazy World. This house was worth every penny. The trip and experience was worth so much more! "

"Vacation home paradise!
This home is the most gorgeous home I have ever been inside. The attention to detail was so obvious. Top of the line furniture, bedding and decor was used on this mansion. Our group of 25 easily fit in this home and there were several areas to lounge and gather. The pool was Enormous and brought hours and hours of entertainment for both adults and kids alike. The indoor/outdoor living was executed perfectly. I would recommend this home to everyone!!"
