The 100% cancellation loss can be avoided if: (1) Red Sky rental vacation insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation is a reason covered under the travel insurance; or (2) Brooks and Shorey Resorts can re-rent the unit for the full term of the original rental period, in which case the guest will be charged 10% of the total paid as rebooking fee. Prior to arrival, if a guest has to shorten their stay or change their unit, normal cancellation penalties may apply, whether they are insured or not. Refunds issued by Brooks and Shorey Resorts will be issued no more than 30 days after departure date of original stay. Refunds are payable to the guest within 30 days after the subsequent re-rent payment has cleared our account.

The unit itself is clean and comfy. The complex is small and the beach is not crowded as a result. The management company (B&S) is very communicative and responsive. The only three points of constructive feedback are (1) the queen bedroom’s attached bath has a slow tub/shower drain; (2) the queen bedroom could use instructions for the TV; and (3) one of the twin beds in the third bedroom is very wobbly. We will be in touch soon to book our 2026 stay!" There was no communication about work being done during our stay, only that there would be an interruption in the water for about 10 min. There was no communication with any management. The only negative comments are, that there was a large amount of work being done so it made napping for the baby a challenge with the constant hammering and sawing going on, in addition the HVAC vans made parking hard, but I realize those things have to be done."
