Bright and open retreat contains nice furnishings throughout. The full kitchen provides utensils, including microwave and coffeemaker and has newer appliances ready for your cooking needs! The living room has a flat panel television and leads to the outdoor balcony where you can soak in terrific Florida sun! Free Wifi. Please note this condo does not have a phone. You will be required to sign a rental agreement with (Property Management) prior to a reservation being confirmed.
The master bedroom, with comfortable king sized bed, is spacious and leads to a spotless bathroom. Linens for all beds, extra pillows and sufficient towels for your stay are always provided at SunHost resorts.
As a SunHost guest, you will have access to office services, including copy and printing boarding passes. Seven day a week maintenance service is available as well as an after hours emergency on call person. This is a non smoking home.

ALL cancellation requests must be received in WRITING via email, fax or letter. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted. Trip Insurance, Non Cash Disount Fees, Certain Service Fees and Condo Approval Fees are not refundable.
Upon written notice at least 30 days prior to the Rental Period, the prepayment less an $85 fee shall be returned for cancellation.
Thereafter, there are no refunds in the unfortunate event of a cancellation prior to the Rental Period. Changes to reservations will be accommodated based on availability. Refunds are not given for unmet expectations, weather, natural disaster, evacuation, personal, or other related reasons. The Management Company reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

"Love Surf Song
This visit in July 2025 represents 40 years of enjoying Surf Song. Even my grown children and grandchildren stay often here at Surf Song. What they have done to recover from the hurricane is remarkable. The pool area has been completely redone with over stones and grass roofed cabanas for shaded seating. On this visit we stayed in room 239, a 1 BR, and has been tastefully remodeled. Can’t say enough about how great it is to stay at Surf Song. "

"Great Location, but .......
The location is perfect! There’s so many places nearby that you really don’t need a car unless you’re one of those people who like to venture out. Our unit was cute, spacious, but it had some serious downfalls....the bed was AWFUL. The water pressure was SO high it felt like your skin was going to come off after a beach day, and the A/C .... Needs a serious upgrade. You can’t set the temp above 72 (like hello, it’s FLORIDA). Our unit’s A/C froze up at 74 degrees. We had to literally leave on our last day because it was 86 degrees in our unit and nothing to be done..that ruined our entire trip. I’d rather spend a little bit more money on one of the nicer neighboring buildings in the future than save a buck and experience that ever again. The pool at the condo is great, as is the sitting area around it. But you’re going to pay in the long run for the affordable rate."

We recently stayed in Surf Song #239 and everything was perfect! Obviously the location is tops, but the everything else about the stay was great. The unit was clean and contained all the needed supplies to meet our needs. Property management did a great a job with communication and the check in/out process was seamless. "Great week!
We stayed on the second floor at Surf Song for 8 nights.The location is great with John’s Pass right across the street.The property is on the older side but was maintained pretty well. The unit we stayed was nicely decorated with a great deck with a view of the beach. There is the bare minimum of supplies. There were no paper towels, tissues or beach towels. Those items we had to purchase which Ifeel should be supplied. That being said, the pool is great and 20 feet from the beach, which was amazing."

"Our stay at the Surf Song Unit #239 Feburary 24 - March 9, 2024
We very much enjoyed our stay there. The staff was helpful when needed and the time we got to spend there was enjoyable and also the chance to get to know some of the others who were also staying there. The unit we stayed at was very nice and was well cleaned when we arrived. We have already booked Unit 239 for February 22 - March 8 of next year.

This is a beautiful unit with a balcony and view of water. Unit was recently updated with a new kitchen, flooring, washroom vanity and freshly painted. It was stocked with everything needed to cook with, pots,pans, utensils etc..we were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the unit and of the surrounding property. Pool very clean and heated. Also made use of the three bbq’s located off the parking lot and the washer and dryer’s located on all levels. I highly recommend this unit to rent, you will not be disappointed. Must also add just across the street from John’s Pass for shopping, restaurants and you will surely see dolphins entertaining you almost daily. "

Last year, we stayed a couple doors down at Beach Place, and I would definitely recommend Surf Song above them.
Only small complaints to be had - the bathroom fan is a little noisy. We didn't find the potholders until we were leaving (they were up on a shelf in a cabinet) and there are no bath mats, so be careful/use towels. Internet can also be laggy, but it's vacation - get outside.
The pool is nice, the balcony is perfect for sunset views, and the building is clean and comfortable.

We love coming to surf song, we have been coming for many years. This was our third time in room 239. We like this room, I do have 2 complaints 1. The pressure in the shower is awful and 2. When we arrived it wreaked of cigarette smoke. We are not smokers and for the first 4 days we also wreaked of cigarette smoke because our clothes smelled off it. We also were unhappy with the condition of the pool, it isn't being maintained like it should be. My favorite part of this room is the balcony it had a very nice view. The bed is very comfortable. "

"Unsafe, losing its reputation. Not worth the $$
We’ve been coming to Surf Song for the last 10 years. All of our rooms have always been great and Location is always great, but things have really changed. As of now, service is so-so, amenities are eh, and the room we had this year (239) not great. The balcony in this room, I know is a law suit waiting to happen. The bars are rusted, most to the point of total detachment. So any amount of weight pushes the bar outwards, off the balcony.
The water pressure in the shower was literally a trickle. There’s water pressure everywhere else so this condo owner just needs to buy a new shower head.
Shuffleboard is gone, which was always so much fun for us- the elevator was TERRIBLE. We took the stairs the entire stay unless we have to take a bunch up to the room. So it takes about 5 min for the elevator to open, even once it’s on your floor. And then another 5 min to open when you’re in it- So you sit in this elevator wondering if it’s going to open or if you should press the help button. Awful, especially for folks with anxiety/claustrophobia.
So lots could be fixed. Also, they are raising rates anywhere from $400-$700/week. The hotel, even though on the beach, is not worth the $1600 we spent for the 7 days we were there, let alone $2000-$2700 for a week. "

"January Retreat
We stayed at Surf Song the last two weeks of January. Our condo had all we needed and tastefully decorated with a seaside theme. We enjoyed being so close to John’s Pass. The first weekend we were there was the annual seafood festival. It was quite an event with large crowds and a variety of great bands. We really liked the protected pool area where we could sit in the sunshine out of the north wind."

Three used shower towels from the previous guest were on the back of the bathroom door :(
It's really sad to see how the Surf Song has slowly fallen apart over the years.
After 30 plus years as a loyal guest at the Surf Song it's time for us to move on.
I will NOT recommend this property to friends or family and longer. "

Surf Song Resort - Unit 239 - Madeira Beach, FL
My wife and I rented Surf Song Resort Unit 239 in Madeira Beach, Florida from December 25th, 2021 through January 1st 2022.
We arrived at the condo between 7:00 and 8:00 PM on the evening of Christmas, December 25th. When we got off the elevator on the 2nd floor, our 1st impressions were not great. The hallways had a stale odor. The walls and carpet were dirty. The décor was very tired. My wife was nervous.
We entered the room and it seemed to be an improvement with the hallway. Here is a list of concerns that we had with the room and the amenities in the room:
Living/Dining/Bedroom
• No screen door on balcony.
• Bedroom window was broken. Sign on window warned us not to open. (see image).
• Living room ceiling light worked intermittently (possible fire hazard).
• Cable box and alarm clock in bedroom were on light switch. Constantly having to set clock.
• The clock in the living room did not work, probably needs batteries.
Bathroom
• Shower curtain liner was mended with tape. This could be replaced for around $5.00.
• Shower curtain rod fell down. Does not do a good job keeping water in shower pan.
• Bathroom baseboards needed a cleaning and coat of paint.
• Bathroom fan was inoperable.
Kitchen
• Garbage disposal clogged after only putting some fresh vegetable scraps and a banana peel in with running water. Maintenance man fixed issue and was very nice.
• Glassware and coffee cups were stained even after running through dishwasher. This is before we used them. I scrubbed them with a dishrag and soap & there was able to remove most of the stains.
• Kitchen cabinet doors were dirty. There was visible gummy buildup on the surface.
• Some kitchen drawers would not open and close properly.

"Nice Resort-and Great Stay
This resort, although older, is kept in very clean condition and is a wonderful place to stay. Our condo was extremely clean and furnished quite well with newer living room furniture and nice dining room and bedroom furniture. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again. If I could recommend any area for improvement it would be to fix the bathroom exhaust, which didn't function and repair kitchen drawers, which didn't open and close very well.Everything else was great."

The boardwalk did make me giggle tho, balcony side...reminded me of Summer Rental with John Candy...just perfect and cant wait to come back!"
