Visitor Reviews (21) Write a Review! "Palms of Seagrove Unit A15 Rental experience was perfect. Did not have to check in or out with a person or office. We did not know they were doing construction of a new home right next to our end unit. So even on vacation we woke up at 6am with banging and hammering. The unit was nice and had all the things you could need. As far as the cleanliness goes, there is not a single cabinet, wall, stool, baseboard that has ever been wiped down which was really gross. I think if you pay $300 for cleanup, the cleanup crew could take some time to wipe everything down, not just run a vacuum and change out sheets and towels. This seems to be an issue in a lot of places. Other than the cleanliness or lack of and the construction, I would say overall was good. Location is great. Bad: Living room couch is not very comfortable. Very little to nothing in the way of soaps, dish and clothes wash stuff supplied (I know it's not mandatory, but other places I have stayed typically supplu at least a few small packs etc. You're expected to wash your dished in the dishwasher so you have to go out and buy a full box for one load). You have an unobstructed view of the beach on both sides. I spent most of my time on the porch and enjoyed it tremendously. Tip-bring a fan! The rest of the comments are meant to be constructive because they could easily be fixed. Housekeeping wasn’t so great and the condo itself could use a freshening up. These are older units so keep that in mind. Plus, you don’t go to the beach to stay inside. The beach itself was overcrowded. I understand in normal years this isn’t the case but evidently a early hurricane took away a lot of beach in this area. Although we probably would have been ok, large groups from other condo units came to the beach and set up very early-before 5am- and took most of the prime spots. This forced our rental chairs to be set up behind them and too close for us to relax. There are ordinances and policies that could have prevented this but they were not enforced. And the kitchen is really beautiful and functional. We get our seafood at Shrimpers or Goatfeathers and cook. Someone in a previous review complained about the bed - I found it just fine. It's a firm spring mattress. The furniture is a little tired but I'm not there to enjoy the decor. Be aware this is on the third floor, no elevators and we are not sure we can stay in this apartment again but I'm sure Gary at Seagrove on the Beach can find us a lower floor with a great view when we're ready. Also, there's no way to predict weather or red tides, which we had this time. But we still had a few great days on the beach and enjoyed reading and tucking in on the rainy days. We loved the end unit on the third (top) level with windows on the side and the front lanai. The porch/lanai furniture are basic and should be replaced. Super clean unit, nice living space. Living area & furniture adequate except the broken recliner that has to go. There were NO provisions (extra trash bags and toilet paper) and suggest that a basic comfort package be provided (trash bags, toilet paper, tissue, salt/pepper). Great location along 30-A.
