With that said the place could use a little TLC (Fresh paint, some new / more cooking utensils pots and pans. Also some attention to the rear deck and chairs. The grill barely held a flame and doesn’t appear very well kept). Overall however the unit is perfect for a family or even 2 small family's. It has 2 masters which are both equipped with big beautiful showers. I will happily stay in this condo again in the future but just hope it get a little attention! The kitchen didn't have a lot of space for the food but it DID HAVE all the necessary kitchen utensils and MORE! We saw several roaches. I saw the pest spray schedule I may have missed the previous month; I called property manager and unit was sprayed the next day. It will be perfect for next renter. Some of the carpet had stains as well. Property Manager said owner had just been in the unit so was aware of stains.. Sort of missing the point that I didn't want to see stains. Lastly, I have rented beach units many time in California. They always come with beach towels and beach chairs. This unit did not; we had to buy everything. Had an ant and cockroach/palmetto bug problem all weekend. We are Carolina residents and know that this can be controlled if the unit is left with the a/c running and an active pest control program. This kitchen is a bit dirty with visible grime and dust in the cook top and the fridge starting to rust through. The updated bathrooms and bedrooms are beautiful. Bottom line: Love Seashore, Shipyard, and HHI. There were numerous cockroaches, we know this is a problem in the south but have never seen as many as we did this visit.All furniture downstairs needs to be replaced.We were not even able to pull the couch out to be made into a bed even though they advertise that this unit sleeps 8 people. It was so dirty and disgusting we didn't really want to sleep on it anyway.Very disappointed in this property and will never rent it again. Kitchen fairly well equipped, but not what we expected. No lock on the master BR sliding window. The grandkids didn't really notice any of the above, but the improvements necessary would be simple and inexpensive and it's a shame no one did so. Overall it was 'adequate', but that's not what you should be shooting for, is it? I said above I would recommend to a friend only for the location and size."
