It was very clean and the living room furniture had been updated and kitchen appliances were brand new. A recliner would have been nice to have in the living room. The bed in the master was very comfortable. We have stayed in Surf Court for summer vacation several times and look forward to our next visit. Seashore Vacations is great to work with and always helpful when finding the rental to best suit you and your family. This rental is in walking distance to Coligny Plaza with great restaurants and lots of great shopping! Would highly recommend this rental and we would stay again. Issue two, vehicle pass was placed on seat while driving to grocery store and forgot to put back on dash, vehicle was towed. No warning, no note left, nothing. Cost $200 to get vehicle back. Contacted seashore vacations, no help, contacted the HOA of the property, no help. Have stayed at surf court for 12 years, first time had any issues. All 3 exterior security latches were non functional. Both shower liners were too long causing you to stand on them during your shower. Shower/bath faucets were loose, shower curtains were dirty. Property cleanliness got a 2 because of the following reasons: Ceiling fans and vents very dirty, needs a deep clean. Shower curtains and living room curtains were dirty. The master bedroom had newspaper stuffed in the track of the window. The living room sliding glass door screen kept falling off the track. Property Management company got a 4 star not 5 because the night before we arrived, some members of our party received an email that pool was closed for the season (Oct). Not all renters received notice and especially not during the booking process. The pool was clean enough to swim and still had filter running so not sure what this was all about. On a positive note, the kitchen is well appointed with accessories if you like to cook or entertain. Good water pressure in shower. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. The living room is a good set-up for being together and tv viewing. The location is nice - not right in the middle of things - but good for biking or walking to Coligny Plaza and the beach. Beach chairs/umbrella rental available. Bike rentals available for delivery and pick up at the unit. Nice ground floor unit, no stairs. Nice courtyard and pool area. We opted for a flat this year vs a townhouse-style condo since I am 7 months pregnant and my mother recently had knee replacement surgery (no stairs). The unit did have some minor issues upon arrival - one toilet seat was broken, the refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed, the pillows were missing pillow cases - but Seashore Vacations promptly addressed those concerns. We read a review earlier in the summer noting the dirty carpeting and we had hoped this was cleaned prior to our arrival. Not only was it filthy, it needs to be replaced. There are food particles ground into the fibers and visible stains throughout - not the kind of carpet that should be in a beach condo. My 2-year old daughter kept laying on the floor and we would scramble to put a sheet down because I didn't want her face anywhere near it. As we were unpacking, I noticed a dead roach in the kitchen. It isn't uncommon to see roaches in the south, and since it was dead I wasn't overly concerned. We saw another roach that evening, this one very much alive but near the patio door, so we figured it had just gotten in. As the week unfolded, we kept seeing more and more roaches - all alive - throughout the unit. Most were near the patio door, but we also found them in the bathroom. The final straw came when I found one crawling on my arm, in bed, in the morning (full daylight). Finding one or two dead roaches is fine; finding 15-20 alive in the span of 6 days including one crawling on you while you are sleeping is not. They offered to have the unit sprayed, but at that point we decided to leave.
