Guests staying in Shorewood 201 enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the beach as far as the eye can see. After hours in the surf, vacationers return from the ocean via the private beach walkway and then dip into the oceanfront swimming pool or a seasonally heated spa. Pool is Heated March 1 - April 30 and Oct 1 - November 30. Toddlers have a separate wading pool. Shorewood is a five story elevator building located in South Forest Beach. Among the amenities offered throughout Hilton Head Island, Shorewood is two blocks from the Coligny Beach Market, a quaint downtown area that offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. This nicely furnished newly updated and freshly outfitted property features a comfortable outdoor patio set on the balcony overlooking the ocean. The condo has great laminate flooring, new updated kitchen, and new furnishings throughout. The A/C System was replaced in May of 2019 as well as a new washer & dryer in August of 2019. All of the bathrooms were completely renovated in April 2022. King bed in the master bedroom, Two Twins in bedroom 2, King in Bedroom 3, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Visitor Reviews (39) Write a Review! "Shorewood 201 We have stayed at this resort in the past, but not this particular condo. This was the most I have EVER paid for a condo in HHI, but we were booking later in the year so I assumed it was what it was. We checked in on Saturday afternoon and was pleased with the location of the condo and the decor. However it was not cleaned to our satisfaction. We traveled with two grandbabies, so we just cleaned it up. I did message the contact on Tues to express my concerns and let them know and they replied that we "could have told sooner and they would have had the cleaners come back". We expected it to be clean when we arrived and did not want cleaners back in the condo with our two grandchildren interrupting our time. When I took the first shower in the primary, wads of hair floated up and around my feet. It did not drain well all week. The air vents had tons of dust around them. We found a super nice pair of mens shoes in the closet which leads me to believe it was not ever opened and linens changed as they were just thrown in and not folded. There was a red sparkly fingernail clipping in the bed. The vanities had been sprayed but not wiped and there were globs all over them. I have pics of these things. Twin beds were very uncomfortable. I own a real estate/property managment co in my hometown and own an AirBNB in the Smoky Mts. I would have tried to make some restitution when alerted, however none was made when I asked. The exterior property is well maintained. We did not need to interact with the management company. Our unit #201 is a corner, 3 bedroom unit on the 2nd level with an ocean view. The unit is in need of several areas of maintenance to its furniture, some Living Room shades and appliances. Repairs: refrigerator door, ice maker, shelf bracket; microwave light is out; middle bathroom had a mirror off the upper left side hinge and the water from the shower was rusty at first, then, cleared up; we didn’t need fans, but the black fan in the guest king bedroom was broken; Master bedroom ceiling fan light was out with no cover shade, the window was broken which we couldn’t open, probably our biggest disappointment; the Living room rug was dirty as well as some other areas. We would look for another unit if the above were not addressed. Recommend with strong reservations." Also, there was no shower curtain in one of the bathrooms, we had to use the other bathrooms for showers. Rooms were spacious and bedding was plentiful and comfortable. Lots of windows and light, but nice blackout curtains to get it good and dark when needed. Bathrooms were mediocre - poor lighting, noisy fans, 2 out of 3 not updated, master shower not very clean upon arrival. Flat screen TVs in every room, but all were low quality and small. Since condo sleeps 6, would have been nice to have enough seating for 6 on balcony. Hot tub was always crowded with people day and night, so we were not able to use it, and the pool was not heated in December. HOA should reconsider this; it was 70 degrees while we were there. Construction was in progress on nearby units, but thankfully not close enough to be too disturbing. Overall, an enjoyable stay, and we would stay here again, although I think I would prefer to stay in a higher up unit for better views of the ocean." We like this unit the best bc of the location to pool and ocean... normally. We usually go in June. July was overcrowded. Great location. Very Clean. Multiple families were staying in the units both above and below our unit were very noisy- sometimes until 1 AM. The pool was packed and people decided to play loud music during the day there which made it feel much less family friendly than usual and more spring break. Our check in was much slower than in past years as well. The property was cleaned and ready at 1 PM yet we were not given the code until almost 5 PM - the rental office said they were short staffed for inspecting the property and this caused the delay. But we did encounter a few issues. The air conditioning did not work well in 2 was hot & muggy. Fans helped but not great for sleeping. They checked it out and said the unit was new. The dryer was broken and ripped 2 items of clothing. The managers did replace it the next day. There was a very strong "sulfur" smell in the washing machine water and the master bathroom. Had to "live" with it. Very little storage for beach items and bathroom items. The unit is beautiful, we loved the location and the pool. The dining/living area was beautiful and spacious.
