"Love it here!
We come to Water's Edge every summer. Absolutely love and don't want to stay anywhere else. Everything is always very clean and the people are friendly. We love how so close the beach is and that you can just rent out chairs. So many good local restaurants nearby!"

"Mixed Bag
Perfect location. Pool/hot tub deck just lovely -- immaculately kept, spacious, and security on site to control access. Front desk staff efficient and friendly. Beach maintenance stellar -- groomed every morning / never saw litter / kept all umbrellas (public and private) in a line back from the water ensuring open beachfront for playing/walking / lifeguards every day / bathrooms every few blocks at beach entrances. Unit 301 was another story. It has been upgraded, with lovely flooring, new appliances in kitchen and comfy furniture. That said, maintenance is sadly lacking. We were told not to take the a/c below 78 degrees or it would strain the obviously old system. They hadn't changed the a/c filter in months and months, so that may have been a contributing factor. Yes, we were uncomfortably warm. Two of the four TV remotes didn't function, and the maintenance man could only get one of them to work. The balcony windows were so dirty that I got out there and washed them so we would have a view. The floor, while sand-free, was also dirty as witnessed by the bottoms of our feet and socks on the very first day. No hair dryer in the bathroom and no hot mitts in the kitchen (though that may have been a previous guest-induced problem). We will not be returning to this building. "

"Mid-April Family Vacation
The location and oceanfront property is fantastic. The amenities are great for families. The condo was spacious and had updated appliances, all in working order. The kitchen, dining and livingroom areas were nicely furnished, though the decor was rather bland. The bedrooms had outdated furniture and the bathrooms were plain and dated. For what we paid for a week, I would expect nicer finishes."

"Disappointing
Unit needs to be updated as far as bedrooms go. Mattresses were very uncomfortable and furniture was old and needs to be replaced. Master bathroom shower had no hot water. Dishwasher had a terrible odor and its questionable as to whether the unit had been cleaned. Being a former owner at this resort it was disappointing but being a holiday we made the best of it."

"Family Vacation
We love the location of this property. There are many things to do in the area. However the room did need some repairs. All the bathroom fixtures in the sinks and showers needed to be fixed. They did not work properly. They were hard to get on and keep the shower on. The kitchen was advertised as being fully stocked. There were mot many supplies to cook in. If you plan on cooking in the room, bring your own pots and pans. "

Never going anywhere else-- close enough to drive into Myrtle but far enough away to enjoy family time!-- the customer service was superb and even brought us a fire stick for tv at 10 pm at night!! Loved this place!! "

Our stay was not a good one. We have been coming to stay at waters edge for many years and this year we had no pool not deck or hot tub. We were told we would get 20 percent off and that didn't happen we got 10. They tried to tell me that we got 10 percent at the very beginning that that was for being a loyal customer. Sp they lied to me about that. I wanted to rent next year but the price is 4500 plus. They said it was because if the new deck and the home owener needed to make money back but they have insurance or hurricane damage. So I have 3 family's who rent from you all now you lost all of that business too about 10,000 you lost. John was really rude to me on the phone every time I called. Carissa was wonderful.
So now someone and somewhere else will get my business next year. I did want to say thank you to the manager for getting my kids in early to there room. My room was not even cleaned sand all over the floors all the dishes were still dirty. Dishwasher backed up master bath backed up. They were falling apart. 301 was our room. "

"In need of a good cleaning, updated furniture and small appliance
The view was amazing, location in Garden City Beach was wonderful. The floor were sandy (maybe expected as an ocean front) but also dirty - tops of our feet was dark after one day. The couch was worn and too comfortable to seat on for long. Linen selection should be upgraded - low quality. Small appliances didn’t work well. But staff including manager was great, pleasant, responsive."

"Overall stay
Overall ok the room had a busted stove to, cabinets in kitchen broke microwave handle broke,sliding closet door broke. They did fix sliding balcony door and bring us a shower curtain. We left rm cleaner than when we arrived. The clerk who checked us in acted like he really didn't want to be their. This was our 1st time here. The owners of the bar were nice and helpful. Overall ok"

"Family Beach Fun
Our family loves it here some of them have been coming for over 8 years this was our second year here coming out from California We love the beach's the restaurants and other recreational things to do near by I personally chartered a boat and fishing. Our family group was over 30 this year so its great to have a location that is this nice that can accommodate us all. We will be back in 2022 "

"Amazing location
Amazing view and proximity of ocean. Had a great time with four adults and two small children. Only issue was I didn’t realize I needed to bring toilet paper and trash bags so we had to make a special trip for that. That seems cheap to not supply 3 days worth of these essentials. My wife thought the furniture was dated but I kind of liked it lol. Otherwise, great time."

"July visit
Water's Edge Resort staff are friendly, but the property condition is lacking. The air condition is not cool enough and could not be turned below 70. The cover on the sleep sofas had stains all over it and when brought to property attention, was told nothing could be done until the next day. Although property is advertised as furnished,there were not enough pots and pans for cooking and the oven was very old and took about an hour to warm up. For the price, the property should be in better condition. The property is in a good location. Armbands are required in pool area, but non guests would constantly come in the gate or jump over the border to use the restroom. There was a large group of partiers on the beach each night and you could hear them screaming and playing music until early morning. Security did not do anything. The pool is horrible. I would not get in. A hot tub was taped off the majority of our stay. If you want a pool, look elsewhere. This was not a horrible vacation, but certainly not the best either. I would classify as mediocre. This was our 3rd stay here, but probably our last. One last thought, there are only 2 elevators and they are not reliable. One is almost always down, and the wait is extremely long for this complex."

The condo was clean, but a bit dated. The view and location was fantastic. We loved the double balcony and the staff was friendly and courteous. I was extremely disappointed in the beds. All beds were extremely hard so if you like an extremely firm mattress this is the place for you!"

Plenty of room in this three bedroom two and 1/2 baths.We we're a party of two adults and 5 children.The layout was perfect with beautiful ocean views . Outside and inside pools and hot tubs were enjoyed day and night. Great location a lot quieter than Myrtle Beach yet close enough to everything in the area"
