Prior to arrival, if a guest has to shorten their stay or change their unit, normal cancellation penalties may apply, whether they are insured or not. Refunds issued by Brooks and Shorey Resorts will be issued no more than 30 days after departure date of original stay. Refunds are payable to the guest within 30 days after the subsequent re-rent payment has cleared our account.

Everything was clean there was one guy that was constantly cleaning, vacuuming and sweeping everytime we left the room but the room was my only complaint when we arrived there was sand in the floor all throughout an old pacifier left under the bed and looked like it had been there awhile the dining room table was solid glass and had dust all over it along with the kitchen counter. We had to purchase a broom because the one in the room was broken and my wife swept and wiped everything down only other complaint was there was no ice machine on the property we had to drive to get ice every morning to pack coolers to head to the beach"

"Pelican Isle 608
The property is a great location. Nice pool and hottub area. Beach was amazing. Howerver, we were disappointed in our unit. The unit needs updating. Coffee maker broken. Patio screendoors broken. One of the patio balcony lights was out. The chairs around the kitchen table were material and were filthy with stains and dirty. Looks like this table and chairs hasn't been replaced in years. The ladder to the bunks was unsafe and broken with bent metal clips so the ladder didn't stay on. Inside dryer rubber sealant falling off. Sinks and toilets clogging with slow drainage. Constant leaking of the icemaker melting water onto the floor despite being told by maintenance there was nothing wrong with the icemaker. Our garbage disposal stopped working. Brooks and Shorey maintenance quickly came within the hour and discovered it was bad and needed to be replaced which they did the next day. The check in/out process was smooth. They did send an update email saying the common area code had been changed for the new month, but when we put it in, it didn't work because they never did change it and apparently kept the old one. One downfall is how many different codes you have to remember for the property (pool, common areas and your room) We've stayed at Pelican Isle many times but never had a unit that wasn't kept up like this one. Definitely would recommend this property, but not this unit unless they upgrade and fix broken items."

"Would Stay Again!
We loved our week in this condo! The pictures don't do it justice! So pretty! Only issue we had was the ice dispenser in the fridge would get ice stuck in it that would melt and leak out on the floor but we just started checking it each time we got ice. No biggie! "

"Family Vacation
Unit was nice -both sliding glass doors needs work - very hard to slide...almost impossible. Master bathroom - tub has a lot to be desired and the drain needs cleaning out - don't like taking a shower in standing water. the shower curtain rod - need a NEW one. All the wires hanging down from TV - what is up with that - thank goodness I did not have any small children staying with me. Also only one elevator was working!!!! NOT GOOD FOR THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE COMING AND GOING"

"Awesome Girls Trip
Pelican Isle 608 was exactly as advertised. Everything we needed was provided. The room was even ready early and we were notified that we could go ahead and check in. Brooks and Shorey Resorts was awesome to work with. We had a minor issue and they sent someone out immediately to take care of it. They were friendly, accommodating, and professional. There was easy access to the beach and parking lot. And of course the view was awesome! Will definitely stay here again."

"Enjoyed Our Stay Overall
The property was clean, comfortable with excellent view, but the bedroom sliding glass door jammed and small hole in screen. Dishwasher mounting unfinished...which was strange. "Beautiful View
The condo was spotless, comfortable and we loved the tile floors. Overall, the condo itself needed a little TLC. We asked Brooks and Shorey (on a Sunday) if a few things could be repaired and within a hour all items were being repaired! Also the condo had only had one drinking glass (for ice tea etc.) and a very nice lady from Brooks and Shorey arrived with a box of 9 glasses. From their booking agents, who are incredible and listen to their customers, to customer care and service I believe Brooks and Shorey is the best management team on the Island! "

"Annual girls’ trip 2020
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our rental got moved to another facility and the nights spent were splint between two condos. This meant having to pack up and move from on room to another rather than enjoying the day on the beach.
However, my agent did the best she could to make it a smooth transition. It was ideal for sure, but we made the best of it."

"Not the best condo...
As always the beach services is fabulous! As far as the room goes that's a different story. Upon arrival, the air condition would not work, maintenance had to be called. One bedroom TV did not work, maintenance was called. Both the main BR and guest BR beds could feel the springs in them and they squeaked every time someone moved. In the kitchen there were only 2 bowls. No more than 2 people at a time could eat cereal. For the amount of money that is paid for these condos they should be immaculate! We were extremely disappointed! If this happens again we will find another company and a different area to stay when we come. "

"Sadly Disappointed
This was the 4th or 5th year we have stayed at the Pelican Isle. We usually have a large group that rents anywhere from 5 to 7 condos. This year, many of the families had issues which we attributed to the condos not being updated or properly maintained. The management team responded to the issues when they could. Several units had problems with the refrigerator ice makers (which the management team responded to but were never fixed), broken furniture, burnt out or broken light bulbs, and general cleanliness. Our condo was woefully short on amenities and it was obvious no one had taken a look at the kitchen inventory for a long while. The oven had one rack, there was no baking sheet (the management team brought us one), and for a condo that sleeps 8, there were only 3 plastic wine glasses, just to name a few of the issues. The condo is dated, tired, and badly in need of updating/renovation. We loved the location, but we all agreed that we would be staying at a new property next year."

"Wonderful family vacation
Brooks and Shorey was great working with us. We had an issue with the AC freezing up and it was resolved within an hour. I was concerned that when we called to push our dates back due to the hurricane, the receptionist wasn’t very helpful at first. Once she got approval from her manager to push our dates out, she was less than kind towards me. We love brooks and Shorey and have been using them since 2012 to book our vacations. We hope this was an isolated situation caused from the stress of hurricane michael and an increase in calls. We look forward to our next vacation with brooks and Shorey "

Although the location was good, our particular unit needed updates in both baths. I called for maintenance on Tuesday and by the time we left on Saturday, the repair guy never came. Also, we were with our grandson who wanted to play in the pool. The pool was closed for 3 days for painting - without prior knowledge. (we were given a small refund.)"

Always love the accomodations & beach....this year was disappointing at the pool/hot tub area. Although posted, many eating, smoking, drinking in the pool, as well as loud music playing. The positives-

The negatives-
Riding the elevators was an adventure. When we first got there the elevator wouldn't open when it reached our floor. One of the 2 elevators was broke for most of the week then the one that worked had an electrical fire in the electrical room.
The master bedroom toilet is placed in a very small nook in the bathroom. Unless you are very petite sitting down on it is very uncomfortable, not to mention it would take several flushes.
The a/c quit working during the night but after calling in the morning, it was fixed by the afternoon.
The facility pool is on the small side. Maybe 10 ft wide by 30ft long and only 4 ft deep. Not a huge deal but it would be if the condo facility was busier than what it was when we were there.

Upon arrival our condo was suppose to be ready by 4pm, but was not ready. one of the elevators was not working causing great delays in getting an elevator. There were not enough carts for luggage to be transported up to the rooms. We found a left over beer can behind the TV in the master bedroom. The pool and hot tub had a posted no one under 13 without a parent. One of the security guards was rude and made my 14 year old grandson get out of the pool because he is small for his age, he did not believe it when my grandson told him his age and birthdate. The location is great, the condo itself was nice. "

"A great family vacation
Our family of five had a great time in Unit 608! The condo was clean and looked just as it did in the pictures. The view is BREATHTAKING! Coffee on the deck each morning is a must. We also rented movies, used the beach chairs and umbrellas every day and took the dolphin cruise which were all big family hits.
My only complaints, and these are very minor in the overall enjoyable week we had: none of the DVD remotes in the units worked -- making it a bit more challenging to separate kids ans adults for movie time, the bed in the master bedroom was very squeaky, and the elevators were down -- one for the entire time of our stay and the other one for several hours on one day. With a sixth floor unit, the elevators are a must so having none for an afternoon was a challenge. This is a great unit for a family, a couple, or even a solo traveler."

"Pelican Isle Vaca
We had an amazing time! But we were disappointed with the condo's run down and dirty appearance. Especially because we have stayed at Pelican Isle before in a different unit that was very clean and fresh. Within an hour of arriving and walking around the unit in bare feet, our feet were black and filthy. The floor were clearly not cleaned. The bottoms and walls of both showers/tubs didn't look very clean.. They may have been wiped down but they needed a good scrubbing with Comet or Bar Keeper's Friend. Baseboards were dirty.The Master bedroom bedspread/comforter had a ton of stains on the underside of it. Drawers in the dressers had trash in them. In general, we wanted to wipe the condo down ourselves with Clorox wipes. Also, one of the tubs leaked water all over the floor and they did send maintenance in a timely fashion, which we appreciated. But it turned out they needed a part from a plumber and we never had a plumber show up for the rest of our stay. Luckily the shower part worked. So we just bathed our one year old in the other bathtub. Another issue was that the ironing board was broken. Will these issues prevent us from coming back to Pelican Isle? No. We love it there! But we won't rent this unit again. And while the rental company was very easy to work with, if unit 608 is a reflection of their cleaning requirements, we may not rent from them again. "

"LOVE THIS CONDO
My family of 4 (2 young boys) had the time of our lives at this ocean front condo on the top floor. Views were AMAZING! Layout and size of condo is great! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The pool and hot tub were very clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find an abundance of carts to carry our items up! Great getaway!!"

Well the condo was great but the elevates were constantly being repaired,there was only two carts to carry your stuff to and from the condo,a serious lack of security with people not following the rules (the pool). Vacation was good and love Okaloosa Island."

We have visited Fort Walton Beach several times but this was our first time staying at Pelican Isle. The property is wonderful, not crowded, and the beach is fabulous! Nice pleasant stay! Clean room! Wonderful stay! Only complaint was the TV and some plugs didn't work in the bedroom. I like to watch tv before I goto sleep and I charge my phone by my bed cause I use it for my alarm and I take early calls, so using the plugs in another room was a bit of a inconvenience."

"Sleeps eight but kitchen very small and ill equipped.
2nd bedroom mattresses were terrible. Ended up sleeping on bunk beds in the hall way which was not easy since I am 67 and my husband is 73. Guess who slept on the top bunk? Kitchen very ill equipped and very small. Living room small with seating for 4 people and we had five. Had to use kitchen chairs just to sit down to watch t.v. "

"Fall Getaway
Pelican Isle is our favorite place to stay. We have been coming here for years. We have made new friends with people that also come here at the same time each year. However they were a couple minor issues with this unit. The internet kept going out. The shower in the guest bedroom was inadequate and the tub was cracked. Overall we compromised and it did not affect our stay."

This was a nice condo. Very clean with a perfect view of the gulf from living room or master bedroom. The only problem we had was there was no dining room table. The previous guest had broken the glass table and it was never replaced while we were there.We were only there three would have been nice to receive a discount on our condo or something to make up for the missing table."

Our experience with this property was good. The only complaint that we had was the air conditioner did not seem to keep the Condo cool enough. We could never get the Temp below 72 degrees and we made sure we kept the patio doors closed at all times. The last 2 days the water pressure was horrible. But overall it was a good stay."

"July Vacation
This unit was outdated and dirty. We found food on top of the refrigerator, and the bath rooms need a good cleaning. The owner needs to up-date furniture, paint, TV's and mattresses. The unit was advertised with washer and dryer, but the dryer does not work. I brought a new first time guest with me, and needless to say, they were not impressed especially for the price we had to pay. The overall unit size is perfect - I love the layout."

"Living Room Chairs
We were here for 10 weeks, I found the chairs very uncomfortable. It seems that there is not much consideration given to this problem. We have stayed in 3 different condos in PI over the last 8 years, and they all seem to have the same problem.
Otherwise we love the condo, and are returning again next year.
We have found the staff very friendly and accomodating. "

"Vacation with the grandkids
The condo had enough room for all of us and the furnishings were nice. The walls were in need of new paint. The dyer took hours to get clothes dry. Any problems we had were taken care of right away. The owners could stock the cooking utensiles a little better, ie - steak knives, spatulas and grilling utensils. We enjoyed Ft. Walton Beach and the resturants in the area. Mc guires was great! The staff at Pelican Isle were very helpful and quick to address any problems."

My two daughters, granddaughter, and I had a great stay in PI 608. Plenty of room for the 4 of us, great beach and beach assistance from Eric, friendly and helpful front desk, and quick elevators. Pool a touch sandy and warm, but I guess at the beach on a hot day, that is expected. Wonderful balcony and view from the condo. We even had a bathroom door lock issue, and the front desk sent maintenance up promptly. We'll rent PI again, and we loved 608."

We booked this year through Brooks & Shorey and paid several hundred dollars less and had the added convenience of picking up our key on site instead of fighting the traffic at their office several miles down the road. I will book through Brooks & Shorey for our next trip as well since I was very satisfied with their service."

We loved the property and the unit we stayed it was clean well maintained and the people were very friendly. The view was beautiful and the furniture was very nice especially the balcony furniture. the seats allowed us to sit on the balcony comfortably and see the view without any problems. We loved the hot tub. We enjoyed the onsite manager Tesse, she was very friendly and helpful. She was a wonderful addition to our visit."

Our stay at pelincan isle 608 was great. The only downfall was that we were charged nearly $30 to have a bedspread cleaned that we did not soil. There was a big pink stain on the bed when we arrived, but we didn't call it in because we thought it was obvious and that the management would have noticed it. Boy were we wrong!!!!!"
