Prior to arrival, if a guest has to shorten their stay or change their unit, normal cancellation penalties may apply, whether they are insured or not. Refunds issued by Brooks and Shorey Resorts will be issued no more than 30 days after departure date of original stay. Refunds are payable to the guest within 30 days after the subsequent re-rent payment has cleared our account.

Visitor Reviews (102) Write a Review! "The view was the best part. The apartment was a good fit for us. The view was great. The kitchen was adequate. Nothing fancy, but it had all the things we needed to cook and clean. We cooked more than half the time and ate out a hand full of times. The bedrooms were nice, but the mattresses were lumpy and should be replaced. Especially the master bed. The bathrooms were fine. Water pressure could be a better, but it was OK. The drain in the hallway shower was clogged and didn't drain. The faded green carpet in the bedrooms was absolutely gross. Those are all of the negative things, but overall we really like the apartment. The elevator is a death trap. It needs to be repaired. Its an oven. I almost melted inside even for the short, yet really slow ride to the sixth floor. One of the guests i spoke with said they were trapped in the elevator and were rescued by the fire department. We only used the elevator 3-4 times for the whole week we were there. We mainly took the stairs. The pool was nice. But there was sooooooo much pot. the constant smell of marijuana was everywhere. There has to be a countermeasure for the pot if you ever want my business again. I can tolerate old, ugly, smelly carpet and small annoyances. Washer and dryer are almost commercial grade and worked like a charm! It was stocked with soooo many towels.... Never had a unit with that many before... so nice! Cons: unit is in desperate need for new furniture and decor... It’s old, feels dirty and all the wall art is so faded. Also.., I do NOT cook on vacation... but I do make breakfast casseroles and I was shocked there was not a 9x13 Pyrex. Also no tongs to flip bacon.... And only 2 normal coffee mugs. There’s lots of coffee cups... but they’re tiny and look more like espresso cups than coffee cups. Also... not one Tupperware or plastic dish for leftovers. Literally nothing to store food in after the fact.....Random. There’s carpet in the bedrooms and it isn’t as bad as it looks in the pics but should prob be replaced too. Master shower is new and had no issues in the bathroom whatsoever. Overall I’d stay in the unit again.... But owners really should consider updating the living room furniture and also upgrading the patio furniture too...." Only complaint was the algae bloom. The "green slime" was awful, not to mention the jellyfish. We really couldn't go in the water but one day. My only complaint about the complex is: when walking from the bbq pit area to the parking lot, there's some valves and piping sticking out of the side of the building at about 5 foot off the ground. this is dangerous and a huge safety hazard. my son was luckily walking and not running and hit his head on the valves. he hit hard enough hat he was knocked to the ground and had about a 1 inch cut on his head. not enough for stiches but he was in pain and dizzy. It was not during office hours on Sunday. So I didn't go into the office to report it. Again the condo was great but the complex needs to address this safety hazard, especially when it is at head level." The only complaint I heard was that the wifi in room 6012 was more like dial up. The wifi in our rm 6011 was strong. Pool was always clean and roomy for our large group, always pool chairs available too. Beach was clean and the guys setting up chairs were extremely helpful, they came around a few times asking if everything was ok and if we needed something. The adults in our group would have liked to of seen a beach volley ball net up but I realize not all vacationers would be interested in this. Jul 21, 2010 - Jane B., Niceville, FL "we have stayed with brooks and shorey for about 7 years--[williams and josey family] and up to this year it has been a great family experience--this year we planned our stay early and were looking forward to it.--- on sunday june the 6th--brooks and shorey took and addtional $1900 out of our checking account--on monday we had checks bouncing everywhere. we made a call to brooks and shorey. they blamed us for it---the cashier check was in the mail and on the desk on monday the 7th. --in texas the mail doesn't deliver on sunday--because they choose to pulled the money on sunday it spoiled the vacation for the williams family---we did not tell the josey party what happen.we had to go to the bank and move money out of our saving to catch the checks that were bouncing. mr shorey had the rude answer that it was our fault because we didn;t call that the check would be one day late of the 30 day pre-pay.we didn't tell the josey because we did not want to spoil their vacation.--for the williams family i think this will be the last of our vacations with brooks and shorey.there was a different class of people staying at the condo this year--on thursday --some one used the bathroon in the pool. the people staying in the condo next to us piple their trash outside the door until there was nothing but a trail to the door.i think my biggest gripe is that brooks and shorey were really quick to take the money out of our account--but took their time putting it back.
