Refunds issued by Brooks and Shorey Resorts will be issued no more than 30 days after departure date of original stay. There was also a woman who was staying in the same condos smoking on the beach so I kept getting a face full of her smoke while trying to enjoy the beach so we didn’t stay out there long. Spent some time in the pool, which was great, but mostly hung out in the room because of the rain. It was beautiful as always, even with the rain, and we had a very relaxing vacation! Still not sure why I had to go to the office twice..once for late check in to pick up what you said was the key when in reality it was a code to get into the unit. This could not have been given day of arrival via email or text message? Then again by noon the next day to sign papers? Just very disappointed compared to other VRBO experiences. Would I recommend? " Jun 30, 2015 - Gary M., Lake charles, LA "Summerlin Unit 305 We had a wedding to attend that Saturday and the rental office was great to get us in the condo as soon as possible on that Saturday. They were very friendly and nice to work with. As far as the condo, we liked the layout of the condo and it was furnished with everything we needed. The things we found that needed attention were: The dryer vent outside needs to be cleaned. It takes two cycles to dry anything and after looking at the outside vent, I can see why. Also, the ceiling fan in the front bedroom is about to fly off the ceiling. We couldn't use it in fear it would fly apart. Also the oven light was burned out, but that wasn't too terrible. The main thing that we didn't like about the condo was that it needed a deep cleaning. Lots of dust around the baseboards and headboard of the ocean front room. The cleaning company looked to dust the main areas but lacked the deep cleaning it desperately needed. The furniture including the bedding in the two bedrooms needs to be replaced. Very dated, beat up and the mattresses were like a wash board where they needed to be updated. We loved the balcony! Ate all our meals out there overlooking the beach. It stayed shaded most of the time we were there and that was nice. The beach area and location was great. Not in the busy strip area so at least you felt relaxed. The beach chairs and umbrella guy (Matthew) was super. Over all I would give this condo a 3 out of 5." The only other thing that could have been better is the water pressure in the shower. Regardless of these two setbacks, I would still stay here again." We have stayed in Condos on Okaloosa numerous times over the past 5 years, with various different rental agencies. This was our first stay with Brooks and Shorey and we were truly impressed them. We took advantage of the beach set ups, dvd rentals, dolphin cruise and snorkeling adventure amenities (in fact we went snorkeling twice!)The condo was very clean and well appointed - the only thing we couldn't find was a pizza cutter - and if that's our only complaint - then that's not much to have to complain about. LOL. We loved the keyless entry into our condo and the location and size of the Summerlin Complex was perfect for us. We hope to visit again soon!
