Refunds issued by Brooks and Shorey Resorts will be issued no more than 30 days after departure date of original stay. The carpet in the bedrooms is dirty. You can see black areas from dirt. The shower in guest bathroom made a terrible sound for three days. We called and they sent a maintenance person over and it never got fixed. The master shower needs to be replaced. It is pulling away from the wall. There was a previous leak from the unit upstairs that never got paint you can still see the stain. The kitchen is great. It was one of best appointed kitchen we stayed in. It had everything you would need and then some. The view is absolutely amazing. In the mornings we could see the Dolphins playing and swimming. You couldn't get a better location. Close to Destin but not in the middle of all the chaos. It is very peaceful and calm at Summerlin. We got to see a turtle nest on beach. Close to Navarre Beach were you can go for shells. We found so many shells. I would definitely stay in Summerlin again just not this unit. Even with the the few problems we had a wonderful relaxing vacation. "Last Minute Getaway I was surprised to find this condo available at the last minute for our getaway before school started. We love Fort Walton and try to take at least one trip here each year. We have stayed in many condo's on the beach and this one is our absolute favorite! We loved it. It was roomy and the layout was perfect. The kitchen is stocked almost as well as ours - and we love to cook! I usually have a hard time sleeping away from home but the bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep through the night.
