It's just a quick walk across the boardwalk right behind us to the beach, plus just a couple of blocks to the heart of Port Aransas and all the cute beach shops, restaurants, grocery store, etc. Kick back and enjoy the best of both worlds - beach and town. Our condo has one bedroom with a queen bed, a huge walk-in closet, lots of built ins and shelves for storage. Twin roll away and sleeper sofa provide extra sleeping. There are two large flat screen TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There is also a private patio area to enjoy the gulf breezes. The community pool in conveniently located just a few steps away. Lots of cute décor and designer touches make this a warm and welcoming place to enjoy your vacation. "Wonderful Anniversary Experience
This was our 25th anniversary and we honeymooned in one of these condos. We wanted to come back to celebrate our anniversary. The condo was wonderful and we enjoyed being here. We experienced only 2 issues: 1 there was no carafe to the coffee pot and 2. the light outside the front of the condo lights up the room at night and made it like daytime when we were trying to sleep. On the second night we hung the blanket over the windows and that helped. Over all it was a great experience and were so happy to be there! Thank you!!"

Overall we loved the place but there is an urgent need to place curtains on the bedroom window! The security light keeps the room lit up and makes it nearly impossible to sleep. We would book this again next year if curtains are installed. "

"Sunrise Villas
Would not recommend the sunrise villas for following reasons:
-there is no curtain on main bedroom window and the light outside SHINES directly into room super bright
-the outdoor little area was FULL of ants, we couldn’t even sit down outside
-there was a cockroach in what used to be the laundry room
- microwave didn’t work and nobody showed up to fix it when we called
- one of the condo has a baby monitor camera on their patio facing the pool which was so creeeepy!!!!"

"Spring Get Away
We spent three days enjoying the sights in Port A including some birding. The rental was very nice and close to the beach and town. One suggestion we would make is put blackout curtains in the bedroom. The security lights outside were an annoyance. "

"Sandfest Sunrise Villa 109
I’m usually a winter Texan so I have stayed in many different places in Port A. I was underwhelmed by this unit. Property description included a dishwasher, but there was not a dishwasher. Kitchen not very well equipped, found coffee maker under the sink and dirty. It was very damp and humid so I dragged out the de-humidifier from the closet and had it running the whole time. Shades in bedroom not room darkening and outside soffit lights shining inside made it difficult to sleep. Had to clean the patio furniture myself with paper towels. No complaints about Sunrise Villas, just not happy with this unit. "

"Fantastic location and super clean!
The only complaint is that the window by the bed is right next to the light outside which made it too bright to sleep and the smoke detector needed a battery change so it kept beeping. Other than that, fantastic!"

"Great Condo in a great location
The property checked all the boxes! It was beautifully decorated and had plenty of room for the two of us. The pool was nice and parking was easy to navigate. My only point of dissatisfaction was the overwhelming smell of mothballs (I guess that is what is was). I understand the reason for mothballs, but it was quite pungent. Other than that, the place was spot-on with comfort, the air conditioner kept up with the July heat. We would stay there again for sure. "

"Return Stay in Sunrise Villa
@nd stay in this particular unit. It is extremely well equipped and comfortable. The location was excellent--very easy to reach the beach. Two maintenance issues this time, 1)Bedroom AC makes an incredible amount of noise at times--so much so that I had to go into the living room to sleep and close the door to the bedroom--it seems like the ac may be going out, and 2)the bed made a very loud creaking noise--almost like something was broken unde rthe mattress."

"McCarty Condo
The place was outdated, except for the TVs. The couch needs to be replaced and cigarette butts were left on back porch. Not impressed at all for the money we paid. The front door opens up to the bedroom, WTF? The tile was decent and the place was clean, at least."

"Not what I expected. Would not recommend.
This place was a glorified motel. The mildew smell was so strong, I had to wash every piece of clothing and our pillows when we got back home to remove the smell. The furniture was old and rickety, the pots/pans and dishes were dirty (seriously, there was crusted food on several things!) and the fact that this place says it "sleeps four" is a joke. The only way it sleeps four is if you have very small kids - the couch does not have a pull out bed (so you're just sleeping on a raggedy couch) and the "twin" roll away bed is a cot! Furthermore, there is no view. The photos show an amazing boardwalk and view of the beach. HA! The boardwalk is about a block away. Your view is of the parking lot and other motels around you. There is also no mention of the fact that the entrance to the condo is through the main bedroom, so there is virtually no privacy.
Don't be fooled by the description and photos they have listed on their site - I would not go back to this place if you paid me."

"A great location but a need for 2 fixes
Overall the place was fine with a quick walk to the beach, but there were 2 problems worth mentioning. The management company's policy required us to check in at the company site between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm,a very small window of time. We could not meet these requirements, so they left the 'Key' in a lock box at their facility. They also gave us a telephone number to call in the event we could not open the lock box because it is old and sticks. Long story short, of course the lock box did not open, we called, were put on hold. The person explained what to do. The lock box opened and we got the 'key' which was a 4 digit code. Why did the company make us go through all this when they could have emailed or texted the code to us.
The problem with the property was that all the markings on the stove were no longer there. As a result, we did not know which burner we turned on or how high or low the heat was. I don't think this us acceptable or even safe. Otherwise the property was fine and accurately described. These are 2 things that seem easy enough to change. "

"Great location
This was our second stay in these condos (last time we rented a different unit), and I really like the location. We rented bikes for the weekend and biked all over the island & beaches, only using our car at night.
Although this is an older building, the unit has been updated and looked nice. Good layout, abundant storage, very large shower and a washer/dryer made this a comfortable & relaxing place to spend our long weekend in Port A. "
