If I (WE) cancel our reservation more than 30 days prior to the occupancy date, the deposit is fully refundable minus a $350 cancellation fee and 4% credit card processing fee (if applicable). If I (WE) cancel 30 days or less prior to the occupancy date, P.S. Platinum will make every attempt to re-book MY (OUR) Reservation. If the P.S. Platinum re-rents the property for the dates of MY (OUR) reservation at full price, I (WE) will receive 100% of the deposit back minus the $350 cancellation fee and 4% credit card processing fee (if applicable).

If necessary, P.S. Platinum may re-rent the property for the dates of MY (OUR) reservation at a discounted rate in order to secure a last-minute reservation. In this case, I (WE) will receive a refund based on this discounted rate minus the $350 cancellation fee and a 4% credit card processing fee (if applicable). If P.S. Platinum is unable to re-rent the property for the dates of MY (OUR) reservation and the cancellation occurred 30 days or less prior to the occupancy date, the deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations to multi-week reservations are subject to the same policy, however, a cancellation fee of 10% of the total rental rate is applicable in lieu of the $350 cancellation fee.

Partial cancellations to reservations of one calendar month or longer that result in a night count that is less than one full calendar month are subject to Transient Occupancy tax, in addition to the policies outlined above.

We were so excited to have a place within walking distance to the beach for my daughter's 16th birthday to celebrate with her and a group of friends. The location is great and the home is cute, but VERY small. The first problem was that the hot tub was not functioning properly; not a huge deal, but still annoying when you're paying over 3K for 3 nights. The 2nd night after everyone went to sleep, an electrical fire began in the microwave. No one was using the microwave at the time! It just randomly decided to start burning. Smoke began pouring into the house. No smoke alarms went off, so clearly the smoke alarms had not been checked in a long time (totally illegal for a rental by the way.) Again, everyone had gone to bed so imagine how bad this could have been if we did not smell the smoke/burning plastic and wake up. Luckily, we did and we were all able to evacuate. Still no smoke alarms. My husband was able to go in and disconnect the wiring to at least get the horrible burning plastic smell to stop. I was a complete wreck not knowing if it was totally toxic to return inside the property to sleep overnight. Furthermore, despite opening windows, the smoke/burning plastic smell remained for the rest of our stay. It totally ruined my daughter's bday weekend and the company did very little to help the situation. They were supposed to bring out a # of fans the next day, it took several calls and reminders for them to bring ONE fan; they sent out someone from PG&E to make sure it was safe for us; when the person got there he said that it wasn't something he could inspect; someone was supposed to come remove the microwave, they did not. We should have been moved to another location due to the potentially toxic fumes we were breathing in the entire time. I really wish I would have called the fire dept when it happened so they would have been fined for not having properly working smoke detectors. All in all, horrible experience.
