Gulfside Oasis GSC6 is a cute townhouse and a great place to spend the weekend or a week! With four bedrooms, three baths, and two living areas this unit is perfect for a large family or two smaller families. The primary bedroom has a queen size bed and a full bath, the second and third bedrooms have queen size beds and the fourth bedroom has a set of full size bunk beds. There are also 2 full baths on the second floor. The upstairs couch is also a queen size sleeper sofa. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to cook a full meal and the stainless steel appliances are beautiful. This unit has direct access to the beach, 2 blocks away. Sorry, no pets, no smoking and no garage access. STR#379583

"Bad conditions
Fire alarms do not work, it is not a safe house in case of a fire, the refrigerator has rules that you must follow to use it, they do not allow you to put more than 12 drinks inside the refrigerator, they say that it can be heated or damaged if you do it, it is a rental house for up to 12 people, how can you keep food or drinks for your family then ?? In that fridge?? The bunk beds are in very bad condition, they have cardboard at the base, and the noise that comes from there is very annoying the noise that comes from the bunk beds you can't sleep or rest in those conditions."

"HORRIBLE STAY
First night we checked in, had 2 separate leaks in the kitchen, requiring maintenance to be in and out until nearly 11pm.
Terrible job cleaning from previous guests, no extra blankets or pillows for sofa sleeper. Paint was chipping all over the upstairs wall, beds upstairs creaked every time anyone would turn over. Cushions on the couch wouldn’t stay on and lastly, for a condo that sleeps up to 12 people, they had almost no kitchenware, 4 forks, 2 spoons and 1 cutting knife. Terrible stay! "

We loved being next to pool. Quiet. Easy beach access- down the road! Condo was not as pictured online in description. Furniture uncomfortable. Drawer in the kitchen was broken. Needed 3 remotes to use TV! Online listed TV and sitting area upstairs. However TV not hooked up to cable so useless! Washer and dryer were very convenient. Main floor bathroom had no toilet paper holder or towel holder! We were told they were to be installed. Never happened! To sit outside, the patio set was very rusty unusable. Noise from pool compressor made it impossible to enjoy anyway. Grill was junk.
Condo was clean, that was a plus! No WiFi!"

T.V’s in both living rooms never worked, several pieces of broken furniture throughout the rental, dining room table chairs were missing their cushions making it impossible to sit on, AC was freezing upstairs and very hot downstairs, the patio furniture is ver very old, full of splinters and was unable to be used. Then to top it all off, they charged us for my daughter’s properly trained and registered service dog. They claimed we didn’t report a pet, when we clearly reported our service dog during the registration process. This property is also a lot further from town than we had hoped. "

"Location was great but probably won’t stay here again
This was a last minute change because our original condo was not ready from the hurricane repairs. We all felt like there were a lot of things left undone....face plates left off of outlets, no pictures hung in the walls upstairs, a broken table upstairs, etc. It was very clean upon our arrival though. We did have a couple issues that were taken care of very quickly after the maintenance request(dryer wasn’t working, bathtubs didn’t drain, BluRay players not working). This unit is right next to the pool so it was very loud at night and disrupted our kids sleep. It is a short drive/walk to the beach which was nice. There were 9 of us that stayed there but we won’t choose to stay here again just because it wasn’t as nice as the property we originally chose."

"Overall an OK stay...
The WiFi didn’t work the entire trip 4 days and 3 nights. Previous rentals for the same price were nicer units with TVs in each room which works great for families with children, but this one only has one small TV upstairs in a sitting area and one down stairs in the living room. It is conveniently located next to the pool, but I had a better stay at another unit in the same location. Overall it is a decent town house, but you can tell it’s mostly used for frequent rentals. Kitchen appliances looked new and worked great. Location is great for beach access. The property management company is always great, but the unit itself could use a little work/upkeep compared to others in the complex. "

"Not what you are Expecting!
I’m not completely disappointed but there were definitely issues! We walk in to an 80 degree hot condo. The living room ceiling fan was broke; had to call maintenance right away. The kitchen is very small to work in - dining table has 4 chairs - we had 12 people ��the pictures in ad have several bunk beds displayed, but there is only One set of doubles. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen has less than great pots & pans, Bath rooms were ok. No broom on site. "

"Little things mean a lot.
The little things mean a lot when you are relying on your furnished condo to have the main necessities. Issues that impacted our stay: no can opener, coffee pot didn’t work, light bulbs were out in the kitchen, bed comforter had paint stains on it and you could tell that they just painted, because the outlets were also missing the plates to cover outlets. The biggest inconvenience was the metal dining room chairs. The metal chairs should have had cushions to go on the seats, it appears that the dirty ones in the outside back patio were the ones, but they were dirty and old, that we didn’t use them. This was so uncomfortable when we ate.
Otherwise, the beds were comfortable, the space is spacious and the condo itself was clean. I did complain about that issues and the bulbs were replaced and a different comforter provided. Metal chairs still had no cushion. We used our ice chests for chairs. "

"Nice stay for our family but may not be for others
We had a pleasant stay. The place was bigger than what the pictures showed. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. I would definitely recoomend this house for families with small children, a girls weekend trip or a guys fishing trip. Also, the Wi-Fi did not work which made some teens upset, us parents not. The dining chairs were a little uncomfortable, if it had some cushions they probably would have felt better. It may not be a problem for those with lighter tushes...we did encounter a problem at the pool, the pool closes at 10 and there were some people being very loud at 1AM. We called the number we were instructed to call but it was the maintenance number and they said they couldnt help us with that. "

We really liked the condo and it had plenty on room for all of us. We had a problem with the smoke detectors going off but they finally remedied it on our third night. We had some ants and no broom to sweep up the crumbs. Overall the condo was in good condition and we all enjoyed our stay. Property management was very helpful every time I called."

"Faimly Vacation
We had 5 adults and 5 small children staying in this unit for vacation. We had a great time going to the beach which was 1 block away. The unit was clean and had very comfortable beds.The kitchen was small with great appliances but had no room for groceries to be stored.I used some TV trays to store some of our items. Some in our group were awakened by people in the pool next to the unit at 1:00am. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! "

"Family fun at the beach
Easy to rent; courteous, helpful staff; clean facility;condo well equipped with all amenities; only problem was lack of parking in front of condo and the BBQ grill had a hole in the bottom that leaked hot cinders onto the wood deck. A bigger better pit would be a great addition. Having outside faucets to wash off sand was fantastic. We will be back!"

"A bit disappointing property
I was pretty disappointed. I've stayed with you 4 times, now. Usually, at the pink house next to the one, I stayed. The house had a terrible mildew smell, the floors were dirty, and the furniture was dusty. Both of the bathrooms upstairs were broken, the fan in the living room would not go higher than the very low setting. The pillows in the bedroom downstairs had fresh make up stains, which leads me to believe the pillow cases weren't changed, before I arrived. I have always had a great experience in your previous property. This home had a lot of issues."

Good stay overall but unit needs lots of sprucing up. Condition fair. Broken sleeper sofa wouldn't unfold. Filthy area carpet. Broken dryer turned on but no heat. Missing electrical outlet covers. Closet track door wouldn't slide shut. No dishwasher soap. No bbq pit but all other units had them. Scuffed up walls and dirty doors. Wouldn't stay in that unit again."

Overall vacation was a sucess with a few hiccups. Emailed Port A Escapes and was told there is no problem checking in early since we arrived early went to check in and was told the houses was not ready yet and to come back before 4pm. Went back at 4 checked in went to the house and the house keeping was still cleaning was told that it won't be ready until closer to about 5 and too come back. We ended up staying there unloading our cars and left. After a few hours at the beach we came back to the house and found 2 roaches downstairs in the back bed room. We had a few kids with us and they wanted to swim in the pool it was very dirty and very yellow/green. The dryer did not heat up to dry our clothes. All the beds were comfortable except the pull put upstairs and other than the minor issues great house for the price definitely would recommend and stay here again. Easy access to the beach and corner store, loved the outside shower to wash the sand off before going inside. Parking was great and the kids loved the bunk beds."

Our stay was very nice right by the pool, ocean was right down the road! The staff was great except our coffee maker wasn't working right and we didn't get until the next day! Things that would have helped would have be more silver ware and a tea picture! And access to the garage the parking was tight! THANKS for making our vacation a good one!"

The 4 bedroom 3 bath worked well for all. Clean, kitchen had supplies. No extra sheets or blankets tho. The mattress on bunk bed and pull out sofa need to be replaced desperately. The cable went out for 2 days durings spurs playoff, swimming pool was very green. Pretty sure it was more than 2 blocks to the beach. Overall we had a GREAT time. "

"great family rental
As my sister is having some financial troubles that didnt allow her family to take a vacation these last few years, I offered to pay for them and I to stay for a long weekend in Port Aransas which is one of her favorite places to vacation. She chose this town home community because it was within walking distance to the beach, a local gas/convenience store and souvenir shop. So once we got there we only used the car to go to a movie one night. The location was perfect and the home had plenty of room to sleep all of us in separate rooms. The kitchen was small but we used the dining table to prepare our meals and then we bought a small BBQ to cook out on the patio as the resident one had a little mouse family in it and I hated to disturb them. I live in California now so we are more into all animal rights versus my Texan kin would have been happy to smoke the mice family out. Anyway, it was a great vacation. My suggestions is to bring your own towels and bedding as the ones provided were skimpy. And looked very old and stained. The walls could use a paint refresh, and maybe steam clean the furniture but hey, we knew were at the beach and it was much better than a hotel or motel. It was also great having 3 bathrooms and two TV areas so the kids could go upstairs and and play their video games (we brought our game player and Wii). The pool was not clean but another family did not seem to mind. "

We go to Port A every year on an annual trip in August, we have stayed at these condos the past few years. it's so close to everything, the beach is half a block away, stores are nearby, has a pool...the only problem is parking, you are only allowed 2 vehicles per unit, and when you have 4 couples, not everyone rides together....overall it's a great place to stay...."

"Great Getaway Rental
We rented this condo for a quick weekend get together with extended family. The 4 bedrooms plus a pull out sofa were more than accommodating. We quite enjoyed the layout and furnishings. The stay was great, and a block from the beach. We rented a golf cart from a local place and kept our cars cleaner too. "

"Port A review
I called the office about items that were broken, i.e. bench, grill, dryer and the lack of adequate lighting due to burned out bulbs. They did come and replace bulbs and took the bench, but did not replace the bench with anything. Even folding chairs would have been helpful for dining. Other than those few issues, our rental and stay were great. "

"Rocky start to our stay.
When we arrived at the property it was filthy and it appeared that it hadn't been cleaned (sand all over the furniture and floor, carpets were dirty and stained,). I called the property manager and they sent someone immediately. It was an inconvience to check in at 4:00 and have a cleaning crew cleaning until 8:00. It would be nice to have a king size bed in one of the rooms. The deck out back is very nice but you get the afternoon sun and there isn't any shade. Also, the pond in the pictures is nice but right off the deck is a bunch of weeds. We had to clean stickers off the deck for 30 minutes. We stayed at the property for 5 days and not once did I see someone clean the pool. It was cloudy and full of sand. Sorry but you asked. I think someone needs to be made aware of the issues. It could be a really nice property if it was maintained better."

"Home Away from Home
We absolutely loved our stay! We were 12 adults and 2 infants and it slept all of us well. We were very impressed with how CLEAN it was! It was so close to the beach and so close to the beachmart store and gas station. This came in handy for all those last minute needs.

Great Open Layout! Many private bedrooms. Lovely 1st floor and 2nd floor decks overlooking a pond. Only problem was there really isn't enough parking. Overall, excellent condo close to the beach!"

There was construction going on across the parking lot and the construction workers made it difficult for the us to park out cars becuase thier cars and equipment were in the lot. They also had a hose connected to what should be a rinse area for guests so we could not rinse off after we came back from our beach visits. Gate around pool was broken on one side (an entire section missing) so kids could easily walk right into the swimming pool. Other than that the unit was awesome, management great, well equipt unit, and will return next year. "

The location was fantastic, literally a 5 minute stroll down to the beach. And, it was great having the pool right next to our condo. Although we didn't do much cooking, it was nice to have the option with a full kitchen. And, three bathrooms was wonderful, no waiting in line, great with 7 adults in the house.
Several of the dining room chairs were broken, but there was plenty of seating in the living room for everyone to spread out.
I'd stay here again, for sure!!! "

"Not as Good as I Expected
The location was nice and it was well decorated. However, there were several little issues that, when added up, made for a less than perfect stay.
The sugar ants were way out of control. Anything left on the counter was covered in ants within 15 minutes. The fans needed to be fixed while we were there, several chairs were broken, TV remote didn't work, lights in the laundry room didn't work, and the dryer only put out very low heat. Nothing major, but very frustrating.
Overall, not bad but not worth what we paid."

Everything was beautiful!!! From the TVs, Beds, Furniture, Kitchen, and all the utensils and Bar B Q Pit to the upstairs and downstairs living areas and even the upstairs and downstairs back porches overseeing a pond with ducks and turtles. This is modern coast trip traveling for our group and I would recommend this to anyone."

I booked this condo for a family vacation for my husband and myself and our two children as well as my parents and my husband's parents. We had a wonderful time and the four bedrooms gave us all our own space. Being right next to the pool was a big plus. Beach access was very easy and we could walk or drive. Rental agency was very helpful."

There were a few items noted upon arrival, a broken chair, a cracked safety rail on upper bunk, quite a few ants and roaches living there, but a couple of cans of spray took care of most of them. Genarally clean if one did not look too close. Window sills had dirt and dead bugs on them. Overall it was nice and very enjoyable. I would be happy to return and recommend it to my friends. Thank you."

"Port Aransas - Gulfside Oasis 6GSC trip
Overall, we very much enjoyed our long weekend at this property (four adults and five children.) The place seemed almost brand new, was completely clean, and was very attractive. It has a great location as well. Our only concern was that the overall price paid for the stay seemed to be a tad high when compared to what we usually pay (a $50 damage fee as well as a $93 cleaning fee seemed excessive to us.) Otherwise, it was a great stay in a very nice place."

"A great vacation spot for the family!
We stayed at the Gulfside Oasis 6GSC and the Sunshine Villa 5GSC in June '09 and really enjoyed the location and amenities that the condos offered and thought the price was very affordable. This review is specifically for 6GSC (Gulfside Oasis) but there are some comparisons to 5GSC that will hopefully be helpful. We had 5 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for everyone. The walk to the beach was nice and the option to drive and park on the beach was very convenient (when you had a bunch of stuff). (a parking permit is needed though) 6GSC is right next to the pool, with condo 5GSC on the other side of the that worked nicely for our two families. It would have been helpful to have more information about what exactly was provided in the condo; for instance, it is probably a good idea to bring more trash bags since only enough is given to get started. Laundry detergent was provided but in one of the condos it was empty, etc. So, it wouldn't hurt to bring some of those household items along just in case. Dish detergent and sponges were plentiful and each bathroom had a supply of shampoo/conditioner and bodywash (as in hotels...but it was not refilled so if you're staying longer you may need to plan for that). The kitchen in 6GSC was nicely stocked with plenty of silverware and many specialty utensils etc. (In comparison, there was not enough silverware in 5GSC to accommodate 10 people and there could have been more plates). 6GSC did not have internet access (5GSC did have high-speed). Overall, this was a really great, affordable vacation spot and I would definitely return (to either 5GSC or 6GSC)!!"

"Chantel's Cottage & Gulfside Oasis
My original reservation was for Chantel's Cottage Royal Palms. The cottage was lovely until the evening when it turned into a Roach Motel. We were very disappointed that management & owner did not know of the FLYING ROACHES in the Kitchen, Rooms, & Bathrooms. Not to mention the leak in the upstairs shower that leaked onto the living room coach and also the dumpster is located at the back patio was not appealing with over flow of gargage & smell. Even though management moved us to the Gulfside Room we were still not satisfied because there was not enough room in the kitchen. The kitchen chairs were broken and there was not enough TV's for everyone and we were missing a bed(not enough room for 9 people) . We did like that it was closer to the beach and the pool was right next door."

"Sandfest 2009
My family & I stayed at Gulfside Oasis for Sandfest 2009. The location is perfect.. just at the end of the festival, but no car entry into it, so we had very little traffic. The property was beautiful & the management company was very helpful.. even helping me over the phone when I was lost.
I would definately recommend this property.
We had a terrific stay & are already trying to arrange our next visit during the summer."

"Our family Spring Break 2009 Trip
I come from a close net family and we needed a condo big enough to house all my siblings and their children. This condo was perfect for all of us. The place was roomy and super clean! It has all the amenities you need, it was a home away from home and we loved it! My family and I decided that this is going to be a new family tradition for us to get away for a few days with the whole family.

"I LOVE THE BEACH HOUSE!
I should say we all love it. The house is new and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. The pool is lovely except that we did not really enjoy it because it was cold. I would recommend a heater so the guest can swim during cold weather. We love the beach so much. And to top it all the price is just right. For sure we will come back. We can only pray that the house is unoccupied when we book for our next getaway."
