"Beautiful condo and great location
This is a 4 br 3 bath condo on the top level. It is as described. The outside wrap around deck was spectacular. We had our morning coffee and evening meals out of the deck watching the comings and goings in the very busy ship channel. Our family had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Although the pier was crowded at night my grandson had the best time catching small trout under the green lights. We try to stay at the Channelview Condos when we are in Port A. It is in a quiet area but just a short ride to the jetty, beach or town. I would definitely stay in this property again. "

"BEST VIEWS PORT A PENTHOUSE
THIS WAS THE MOST PEACEFUL PLACE TO STAY. AWAY FROM HUSTLE OF THE TON AND UNIMPEDDED VIEWS OF THE CHANNEL AND OCEANSIDE OF THE ISLAND. TRULY AMAZING SUNSETS AND MOONLIT NIGHTS AS WE HAD BOTH SIDES OF THE BUILDING TOP DECK. OH DID I SAY QUIET AND PEACEFUL."

"Great location! Beautiful condo.
So, first the great things about this condo. It was clean, secure, well furnished, the pool was beautiful and the location amazing. I would come back in a heart beat, except...the penthouse has not one, not two, but 12
air handlers lined up outside its walls on both sides of the buildings. There is never any relief from the drone of the a/c units because it is every unit from floors one and two up there. So, if stuff like that doesn't bother you, you will have a great time, but for someone like me it was a nightmare and exhausting to listen to. It is obviously not the management companies problem, but the HOA should not have been allowed to do that to those poor owners on the top floors. I have seen air handlers on platforms below condos and that is what they should do so the third floor has some relief from the noise.
Like I said, it really is a beautiful property, really well maintained and worth the price, but for the sound. "

"Amazing in Every Way!
My family and I had such a ball staying here for a quick weekend getaway. To be able to join together for meal or board game was a wonderful bonding experience for us all. The unit is beautifully appointed and offers amazing views of the channel. The kids had a blast watching ships and dolphins go by each day. We are all excited to return as soon as we can! "

"Wonderful Stay
We loved our stay in the penthouse, the views were gorgeous! Condo was clean and great for our family. Was pretty well stocked but I would advise to bring some extra supplies, we usually do anyway such as an extra roll of paper towels, trash bags, foil, etc. with a large group we go through things fast. My only comment is the pool guy was cleaning the pool about 10am and said it would be 2-3 hours until it was swimmable bc of the chemicals...the sign says the pool opened at 9 or 10 and he did not post a special sign to notify guests of this delay. Other than that everyone was very friendly and helpful and we would stay here again!"

"LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Channelview 305 Penthouse!
This rental was by far the best experience we have had while on vacation at Port A! The Channelview property was superbly maintained and looked awesome! The penthouse 305 was immaculate, had everything and more than what we needed for a family of 4, and just made our trip all the more special. The wrap around deck was the main focus of our stay and you couldn't ask for better views of the ships coming into the channel. The private pier was a highlight for my husband, even though we didn't catch anything, the girls and I enjoyed looking off the cleanest pier I had ever seen and the playing in the awesome new pool! The WIFI was excellent and satisfied my 10 and 9 year old girls with Netflix and their tablets in the evenings. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. Wish the master had a King bed, but bed was comfortable. LOVED the showers! 2 showerheads in the master was heaven! Appliances all appeared to be new and were awesome. 2 icemakers in the fridge, we never ran out of ice. BBQ grill was a little dated, burners did not want to stay on and no brush to clean grill but we improvised and it worked out fine. Had a lovely fish dinner from my husbands boat trip with Deep Sea Headquarters. Girls and I spent a day at the beach collecting seashells and playing in the waves. Would like to see a better mop and broom for guests, but what was there worked. The gate code changes on Tuesdays so make sure to get the new code before leaving the property. We called and the property management were super friendly and got us the new code right away! We would definitely recommend Channelview 305 and Port A Escapes for future trips! "

"Nice views! But, needs some cleaning attention
The views are awesome, balconies on both sides, pool was warm for November. Kids swam. Lighted pier made for some fun nights of fishing with the kids. Awesome location. Kitchen was well stocked and had all we needed for Turkey day. However, the condo was very dirty. The floors gave us black feet when we walked around the condo. The floors were so dirty I questioned whether the sheets were clean or not. There wasn't a sponge to do dishes either. So we had to purchase a sponge to wash dishes. Additionally, no cleaner was available. I would have mopped the floors myself but couldn't find anything to clean with. Overall great place, but for the money we paid for this place, I expect it to be clean. The housekeepers need some feedback."

"Great Place to Stay
6 family members from all over TX met for a "catch up" stay at Channelview 305. It was a perfect location and lovely on all accounts. Very large, right on the channel. We could sit on the deck and watch the large ships in the channel. Could even Google them and get information on each one! 305 was clean, beautifully decorated. Fishing pier was great, especially at night. We will definitely stay there again!!"

We have stayed at Channelview many times prior to this visit, but this was our first in the penthouse. Absolutely fabulous. There is still much work needed to be completed on other units and the marina, but noise was not too big of a factor. The new pier and pool were great. The Chaney's did a marvelous job with their unit and so glad they list for rental. You will see us again :)"

" Not Ready for Rent
Afraid I need more than 2000 characters! The unit 305 is magnificent, tho was not ready for rental, major plumbing issues. The complex is still under construction and not safe. The management co was extremely unprofessional and not helpful at all. Though maintenance did get backed up toilet fixed they used our towels to partially clean and left them on floor. Left backed up “stuff” in shower, we had to go buy bleach and a mop before we could use toilet & shower after they left. I will not use port a escapes again! Owner of unit needs to look for a new manager! Would recommend the unit and channel view but not port a escapes. "

"Pt Aransas Penthouse
The master shower door was off the track. One of the toilets was broken. These both got fixed on the second day. The ice-maker in the refrigerator was broken and needed a new part which did not arrive prior to our departure. We have stayed in this unit on multiple times over the last 10-15 years. It is beautiful and we look forward to our stay this Thanksgiving. Tom"

"Port A in October
We had six adults and two children staying in this unit. The place was huge, very nicely appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of cookware, plates, etc. The 4th bedroom was very small, but was perfect for two small children. The half bath attached to the 4th bedroom shared a pocket door with the full bath which worked ok since only the kids used that bathroom. This unit has a gulf view and a partial channel view. The deck was great for watching the ships coming into the ship channel.

I loved the property we rented at Chanelview no complaints. My complaints are the attitude with the office staff and being charged a $25 key charge after renting a $1,700.00 property.. It cost $2.00 to have a key made. I own several business's and if I ran mine this way I wouldn't have them! "

Channelview 305 exceeded all expectations. Views from both deck were excellent. We are already planning our return trip. Staff at port a escapes were very nice and couteous. Manager at channelview offered his assistance even though he was not involved in that property, which i thought was nice of him."

Have rented this unit for a stay each year for 3 years now. It was a great experience each time, or would not keep coming back. Great location w/ great view, very clean and accommodating. The only thing I would suggest is having a drop box on location for key return upon departure. Maybe box secured to front door of the unit."
