Welcome to Pelican Sunrise LC13! The 2nd floor open living room and kitchen area has amazing views of the water, and upgraded kitchen, relaxing furniture and a spacious deck. Upstairs you will find the 1st bedroom with a King size bed, flat screen TV, a full bath, spacious deck with a fabulous gulf view! The 2nd bedroom on this level has a Queen size bed, flat screen TV, and a full bath located just outside the door. Down to the 1st floor you will find a 2nd living area with comfy seating that includes a sofa sleeper, television, 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, flat screen TV, and a full bath. Sorry, no golf carts.
Parking-1 car in the front and 1 small car on the side parallel to the deck. Any other cars especially trucks need to be parked in the overflow parking lot. Parking Rules for Lost Colony 1. There is no the street parking or blocking the common drive. *Each unit has 2 spaces for parking. 2 vehicles maximum per unit including guest parking. 2. Parking a bus, boat, boat trailer, trailer, motorcycle, camper, RV, house trailer, or vehicle over 1 ton anywhere except an approved overflow parking area is not allowed. 3. Leaving and or storing a disabled vehicle on property outside of a personal garage is not allowed. 4. There is no parking allowed in the grass or landscaping. *There is overflow parking. This is located to your right as you drive in the gate.

- Contracting guests must be at least 25 old, have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID, and present throughout the entire stay
- This is a PET-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A maximum of 3 pets allowed. Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.

"Great house and view!
Overall the house is great! Wonderful ocean vie from both balconies. My family loved the house and it was plenty of space for our group. Great proximity to the pool and boardwalk to the beach. A few issues: 1) during the crazy storm on Thursday evening, water was pouring in the front door from bottom and top of the door. 2) string lights on balconies were not working. We followed instruction in the guest book and nothing worked. We really wanted to use those lights. The GFI breaker in the breaker box was missing actually. 3) The pool on Thursday was absolutely filthy. We looked for a pole cleaner because we were going to try to clean it ourselves but nothing available. Again, we had a great time. Mentioning these items in hopes they could be addressed in the future for other guests. "

The location can't be beat. Great proximity to the beach and far enough away from Port A to not have the crowds. House some age on it and critters are definitely around, but the view is amazing. Very spacious home with comfortable beds."

"Labor Day couples retreat
This unit has plenty of space and beautiful sunrise views. We had our 2 dogs with us and enjoyed the easy access to the quiet beach. It was much less congested than the actual Port Aransas beach access areas. There are stickers that are on the grassy grounds, so be aware."

"Perfect Getaway!
This was such an awesome home. It allowed for all of us to have our private space with separate bathrooms while having an awesome open common area with living , kitchen and dining . The views were outstanding, the walk to the beach on the boardwalk was so easy. We would definitely rent this unit again. It was super clean, lots of hooks and towels and very thoughtful in the decor. One of the better rentals we have stayed at in the area! "

"FAMILY VACATION
OVERALL WAS GREAT, THIS WAS THE 1ST HOUSE WE RENTED BACK IN 2015 GREAT IMPROVEMENTS, THE BOTTOM OF THE HOUSE DID HAVE A CAROSINE TYPE SMELL, THE LIGHTS ON THE PATIO NEVER WORKED. BUT THE VIEWS WERE SPECTACULAR, KITCHEN HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED.BEACH WAS PERFECT, POOL WAS ALWAYS PRETTY CLEAN. MY FAMILY AND I HAD A GREAT TIME."

"Awesome Home-Great Location!
This place looks very much like the pics! Spacious enough for a group of 10. The location, literally just steps away from the beach, is fantastic. Kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking needs. Only one suggestion: if you aren't an early riser you will be here. Three of the 4 bedrooms face the east and the window coverings (blinds) in our opinion aren't enough to keep the sunlight out. Other than that, a great place and we will be returning!"

"Vacation with Children
Overall experience was good. Due note that hot water doesn’t always come even after waiting 10mins for the master third floor shower. There are three levels of stairs so not great for littles. This home has an abundance of decor and chocking Hazards for small kids. Be prepared to move a bunch of stuff. Views to the beach are wonderful. Way walk for the kids to the beach. It’s a couple miles if you want to drive a vehicle down. "

"Cousin's Weekend
Location 10 miles out, beach clean, bedrooms downstairs did not get cool enough, bunk room downstairs not suitable for adults, kitchen nice size, Internet did not work that was a big deal as one in party still needed to work. Port a escapes management could not figure out why it wasnt working, but they did send someone out. Location was quiet for holiday weekend. :)"

"Vacation 2017
Our family had such a great time and could not have asked for a better set up for our family. The way the 3 floors were set up was perfect. Great access to the beach and pool and would consider this same location in the future. Only small, very small issue was no hot water in the master shower, but after a full day at the beach, that wasn't all bad. Our kids loved the house and thought it was our best vacation in Port A ever!!"

"Family Beach Week
We had a great three generations family beach week at Avalon Sunrise. The house was spacious and well equipped. The view was amazing. The beach was so easily accessed and the kids loved the pool as well. We really enjoyed being a little away from the commotion of Port Arkansas, though it was only minutes down the road. The management company was responsive and quickly fixed the malfunctioning CD player so the kids could watch their movies in the downstairs playroom. The only problem was that one shower could not be used. With eight of us and three other showers we easiy managed. Had a great time at Hooks baseball game in Corpus Christi, great meals out at Seafood and Spaghetti Works and Iries's Island Food, and the fireworks at Roberts Point Park were fabulous. We had a great week and would recommend Avalon Sunrise to everyone. "

"Port Aransas 2018 - LC13
The house is furnished well. The large upstairs living room is very good , however, it will host 10 people and there are 2 parking places by the house. The beds are small except for the one King in the upstairs .... and for my family - TV were a problem. There are only 2. One in the living room upstairs and one in the small living room downstairs. They do not have cable , so you must have streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. We have a little baby so somebody had to keep him inside a lot and would have been really nice to have a television in the master bedroom at least and the beds were very uncomfortable except for the master room. Overall, it is a nice place. "

"Great Vacation
The home was clean and there was plenty of room for my parents, my sisters family, and me and my daughter. The beach was less than a 5 minute walk away from the house and the pool was nice. The nearest convenience store was about a 7 minute drive away and the city of Port Aransas was about a 15 minute drive. My family loved the home and it was one of the best vacations we have had. The only thing bad I can say is that the lock on the front door stopped working, but we called and there were tech's at our door in 15 minutes and the problem was resolved soon afterwards. So even that is only a small hicup. Thank you for such a wonderful time."

"Unsafe Rental
First, I wanted to start off saying that the location was amazing! We were very happy with the view from the balcony's and the short walk to the beach. We were also happy with the amount of bedrooms that were offered in this house.
However, the condition of this house is unsafe, outdated, and falling apart in some areas for the price that you have to pay. I would say you're pretty much paying for location, not for a nice house. The bathroom and bedrooms downstairs had electrical issues and we were getting shocked in the shower and when using the bathroom sink. I would bet that we are not the first to complain about this issue. We had to make sure no children went near this bathroom. Also, door knobs kept falling off the doors to the balconies. Most of the showers leaked water all over the bathrooms as well. The showers are the size that you would expect in an RV, not in a house.
Overall, we had a great time, but would never rent this house again. Also, when you sign all of the paperwork to rent you think that you might have the option for a late checkout or early check in if you pay a little extra. However, this option is not applicable during the summer months. I feel like this should be communicated better because I'm assuming most guests are renting in the summer months.
The management company did make it right by us by refunding one of our nights stay due to the issues we encountered, so I would probably rent from their service again. But this house really needs to be reviewed for safety before being rented out to guests again. "

"Best of Both Worlds
Very peaceful.... we were at the beach with that convenient boardwalk, or at the pool just a few steps away, and the balcony view of surf and pelicans lazily gliding made the trip memorable! We loved the unit!

"Repairs Needed
We had a great time overall despite some issues with the house. Our ladies' tennis team went there for a tournament, and it was a lovely house by the beach with great views, a nice kitchen and pleasant common living spaces. The bedrooms and baths are tiny. One of the showers was leaking so we had to call a plumber. He couldn't fix it because he had to tear something down, and so that shower became unusable. The bunk room pretty much couldn't be used either. The lower bunk's futon was so worn out it was impossible to sleep on, and the upper bunk was difficult for an adult, not to mention there were bugs crawling near the ceiling and bothering the person on the bed. Those two ladies had to find other places to sleep. Some light bulbs were burned out, the ceiling fans had broken switches, door knobs jammed, and there was a strong musty odor upon entering the house. Still, we made the most of our three days and enjoyed it."
