Cancellations: As an initial deposit, we take 50% of the reservation total at the time of your booking. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 60 days prior to your arrival date.
Should you need to cancel prior to final payment (60+ days prior to arrival date), you will receive a full refund of your initial deposit.
Cancellations made after final payment (within 60 days of arrival date), are not eligible for refund. You are financially responsible for the entire amount of the reservation less cleaning and pet fees. Please consider purchasing travel insurance in order to be eligible for reimbursement of non-refundable prepaid travel expenses.
Refunds: Conditions beyond our control i.e. weather, road conditions, power outage, government mandated travel restrictions, TV outage, phone outage, Wifi outage, Hot tub problems or guest emergencies do not constitute a basis for refunds.

"cozy cottage
Cute, cozy cottage is quiet neighborhood. We booked this cottage for Labor Day weekend specifically to be close to the campgrounds. The cottage itself felt clean, however there were a few things that needs to be addressed. Some maintenance issues like bedroom door sticking, lack of towels (only one thin towel per person was provided), dirty pans and utensils, and active rodent in kitchen(found droppings on the kitchen counter and towels) are some of the reasons for the 3 stars. We only cooked breakfast in the cottage but found the pans and utensils were not properly cleaned. Our two boys shared the room with the twin beds. Their complaint was it was very difficult to sleep in the morning because of the huge skylight waking you up. We did not use the outdoor spaces, although they looked lovely. Salmon Creek was a lovely little neighborhood and so convenient to the beach."

The place was lovely. I would suggest getting the ant issue and spider issue under control as there were a lot of both. Also, for my ESA (registered with the VA) I would suggest letting dog owners know that the nearby beach as well as the three beaches north are not dog friendly. "

"Fisherman's Cottage stay
The house was cozy and well appointed. For the most part we enjoyed our stay. However, there was a drip in the shower that was very annoying particularly in the smaller bedroom. I called to arrange maintenance and was told someone would stop by. I spoke to the man who was to stop by and he did not have the equipment to repair the drip and said he would pass the information on to the correct person. I never heard any more from the number I called and no one came to fix the drip.
There was only one sheet on the bed in the master bedroom. We had to sleep between the bottom sheet and the blanket. That didn't seem right."

"Wonderfully relaxing spot on the Sonoma Coast with tons of charm.
Well-stocked kitchen but stove could use some repairs or replacement (burners required match to light, flame created greasy soot on bottom of pans, oven would not light at all). Beds very comfy and luxurious. Decor apropos of a beach house (though a few things, like the sofa seat cushion and the laundry ‘shed’ needed deep cleaning) and very comfortable. Just steps to the beach and lots of seabirds where the creek meets the ocean. Exterior could use a few repairs and sprucing up but there were plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the sun and sea air. Aside from the tsunami advisory...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return next time our travels take us to this part of California. "

"Location, location, location...
The location of the Fisherman's Cottage is nearly perfect. Just a block and a half from South Salmon Creek beach, which I enjoyed more than any other beach in the region. Yes, you have to walk over a dune to get to the beach, but the path is easy even for me as a senior citizen. You can hear the surf from the decks, and get a peek-a-boo ocean view from the back deck and the dining area. It is a quiet neighborhood, a very short drive to town.
The cottage was very well stocked with kitchen supplies, washer/dryer and a dishwasher. The gas stove in the living room was pretty but the blower was very loud which was unfortunate since it is the primary source of heat for the cottage. It detracts from the otherwise very quiet and lovely ambiance to run it.
The cottage did have some deferred maintenance issues. The outdoor areas surrounding the decks are pretty unsightly and every tree and bush and plant needs to be trimmed: I nearly tripped on roots right in the main door path and did hit my head on the tree that almost blocks the entrance to the front patio. Some of the furniture should be replaced; the old dresser in the main bedroom was pretty, but the handles were almost falling off and the drawers stuck. Cleaning was good but not perfect (some shelves were dusty; laundry room was not clean). I was a bit turned off by lack of explanation on recycling: instructions are to 'put the right items in the right bin'. OK, but which 'right' items go in which 'right' bin? WHAT is recyclable? You are also told in a LONG statement (the longest instruction on anything) that you would be charged for 'ruined' linens and are encouraged to use paper towels for cleaning. This is NOT a green solution, get some cleaning towels that one can use without worry of a charge if the dish towels are too valuable!
Still, those shortcomings are minor compared to the positives. The cottage was cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated, and again, in a near-perfect location."

"Lovely Fisherman's Cottage
This is my second visit to Fisherman's Cottage and we loved it. The cottage is charming and the location is perfect for a quiet get-away, but also close enough to do some exploring in the area.
We would like to suggest that guests are notified of garbage day (we were not prepared the morning of the trucks arrival and parked too close to the walkway, making it hard for them to gather the bins. We also had a bit of an ant issue on the counter at the stove near the refrigerator. (Not a major issue, but we realized we couldn't leave food out). We loved using the fireplace and appreciate easy directions on use. We would suggest that 1-2 boxes of facial tissue be available for your guests. Also, in the second bedroom, the switches for the above beds lights were reversed(lots of cords and extensions) so the first night the light was left on as the switch could not be located. (the light above the bed closest to the window did not work)...I loved the main bedroom! The heated mattress pad was fantastic and the bed was super comfortable! We enjoyed everything, even ventured up to the crows nest to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Great time....thanks "

"Home near Salmon Creek
We spent three nights in the cottage the weekend before Thanksgiving so we paid a premium price and it was a good location for sightseeing in the area. We had no toilet paper the first night, but the rental company delivered some the next morning, and then we had a power outage, and there were no emergency lanterns, No batteries in Flashlight nor matches for a candle. We had very limited cell service but I was able to make a call and the rental company sent a handyman out with two emergency lanterns and fire lighter stick. The rental company apologized, but it was very harrowing since my husband is handicapped. I would recommend if you’re staying there to take your own paper products and make sure you have a flashlight."

This charming cottage is a great home base central to Bodega Bay beach life. Loved coming back from a day of exploring to simply relax on the beach & in the cottage. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was the absolute best! All the comforts of home at our fingertips. The only problem was we didn’t stay longer! Highly recommend this gem to anyone wanting to escape city life for rest, relaxation & exploration "
