EL CONSTANTE COMPLEX FEATURES -Heated, saltwater swimming pool (heated to a max temp of 86 degrees in winter months) -Hot tub -Poolside loungers, chairs and tables -Designated golf cart parking -Laundry facility on site, $2 for washer and $2 for dryer (Quarter exchange at front office) -Gazebo with gas grills (Due to our frequent droughts, high winds and burn bans -No other types of BBQ grills, pits, or outdoor cooking equipment is allowed on the premises; including parking lots, patios, or balconies
CLEANING -CLEAN BED PROMISE: (Property Management) launders our standardized linen, including every comforter, every sheet, every pillowcase, every towel - EVERY TIME! -After each stay we replace all towels and linens from our 6100SF laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations. -Every property is stocked with bath towels and washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property, along with one hand towel per bathroom. -These starter amenities are provided for your convenience until you can go shopping and are not replenished during your stay: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge. -We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your arrival.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -A two-night minimum stay is required. -A signed Rental Agreement is required prior to check in. Contracting guests of (Property Management) must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID. The ID must match the guest’s name on the reservation. -PET FRIENDLY PROPERTY: MAXIMUM OF TWO PETS/WEIGHT RESTRICTION OF 50LBS OR LESS. -Dog breeds not permitted at El Constante due to HOA guidelines: Pit Bull-type, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, Wolf-dog hybrid, or Husky-type (including Siberian). -$100 per pet fee (7 days or less), $200 (8-29 days), $300 (30+ days). -$50 pet cleaning fee (7 days or less), $75 (8-29 days), $100 (30+ days).

Pets Allowed CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 25% down at the time the reservation is made. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and tax. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of payments made. Applicable refunds will only be issued to the guest by the same form in which it was made, even if a credit card has since expired or canceled. The above applies to moving dates or switching units as well. We recommend that the guest purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals. If a guest does not show up for their stay the total amount paid is non-refundable.

"Not as expected - but easy access to beach
I will start with the positives:
Great location, the beds were decently comfortable, the unit is updated, AC worked great, water heat/cold was great, the toilet paper was enough, and the building was quiet even though sold out. Unit was very easy to find, and close to the stores, a great coffee shop and lots of great restaurants.
The negatives: the photos are either really old from when the unit was first renovated or heavily photoshopped.
*The ice maker was broken - there was ice trays provided so it was apparent this was known. *The shower curtain rod was broken in the 2nd bathroom *the faucets in the shower were hard to turn *the sink in the master would not drain *the master shower drain kept clogging *tons of paint peeling from doors and walls *dishes were dirty - lipstick on the mugs and food caked on the plates. It made me question all the dishes so we hand washed everything. *the couches were very dated, sagging and uncomfortable *the chair in the corner was horrible smelling- like a combo of dog urine / musk *The downstairs units are setup like a motel, which was really odd and they had multiple families staying in one small unit *no one was abiding by the "pool bracelet" rule - we saw a lot of people go in the unlocked gate with no bracelets, swim then leave in cars that did not have the parking pass on them. the pool was overrun, crowded and people with loud music.
I feel like the unit could be great but the lack of maintenance makes it unappealing for the price. It did not look like the photos on the site. "

"Great location
Great location. Convenient to beach. Pitch the canopy and you're good for the day. Condo dinner chairs have zero support - need wood or metal. Mattress in master bedroom also has zero support. Master bath needs shampoo and soap rack."

"We had a great stay!
we spent 62 days at unit 229k and we had a nice winter stay. The unit was updated and clean but the main shower stall floor needs updating. It was made of stones with a very uneven bumpy surface. A person with diabetes who needs to be careful about not injuring their feet needs to be very careful. We bought a very thick heavy shower mat to avoid brusing my feet. The only other significant concern we had was the sliding balcony door leaked air in the wind and whistled all night in a strong north wind. That was annoying when you’re trying to sleep. A washer and dryer available in the unit would have been great even if the cost was slightly higher. If you target winter Texans for a long stay that would a great retention benefit for return business. "

"Enjoyed our stay
The condo complex is in a great location with easy access to the beach. Padre Escapes was great with communication and addressing any issues. The condo is cute and updated and has all the standard amenities. We had a couple of minor issues but Padre Escapes took care of them. One suggestion to the owner is to add another curtain panel in the guest bedroom. There was a big section in the middle with only a curtain sheer and the light from the parking lot was pretty bright coming into the bedroom."

"Nice relaxing stay
Our condo was clean, nicely updated, and comfy. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. The grounds and complex are well maintained. Easy check in with text messages giving us check in information and nightly reminders for quiet times. We were there on Labor day weekend and it was sold out but complex didnt feel crowded. My only suggestion is to offer large carts for free or to rent to load up and take things down to the beach. "

"Just Right
We have been staying at El Constante for decades and very much appreciate the new renovations. The kitchen in this unit is lovely. The beds were comfortable and the packaged laundered sheets are a nice touch. Constructive suggestions include replacing the damaged main television, providing baking pans in the kitchen, and upgrading the cheap flatware. Compliments to the cleaning team- ridding the unit of sand for each guest is no easy task! We look forward to staying here again."

"Condo 217
We loved condo 217 it was perfect and had everything we needed for our stay except the carpet upstairs and on the stairs needs a deep cleaning. We have stayed with El Constante for many years and we always have a great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful."

"Great place!
El Constante's location is our absolute favorite. I wish they had more dog friendly options and allowed us to use the washer and dryer in the rooms like they used to. Also the coffee pot did not function well, had no timer and had to be restarted every morning as it would only make a tiny amount of coffee on the first rub every time. The master towel rack wasn't attached to the wall on one side but made to look like it was. We love El Constante and will stay again but there are some things that have gone down hill I wish they would fix. "

"Just wanna get away
Floors and kitchen have been updated. However, both beds and sofa bed are HORRIBLE!!! They are caved in right in the middle of bed. Very very uncomfortable! We did not have a single restful night. We all woke up with our backs hurting and tired because we were all tossing and turning all night. I will remember this room number and never stay here again nor would I recommend this room to others due to the beds needing replacement including their bed sofa. I do hope the owner reads this review and upgrades the beds very soon before they lose other customers. "

Our experience working with Padre Escapes was exceptional. The process was organized from the time of our decision to book a rental through to the point of check-out. Communication was prompt, effective and very responsive to any immediate needs. The unit that we rented was clean and supplied with basic items for our 5-day stay. The complex and pool area were very nice and well maintained. "

It was very pleasant. The rental met my family and friend's expectations. Great location. Clean and comfortable. Only complaint was there was no ice maker, on the fritz, and the coffee maker was on it's last legs. Hard to have cold drinks and hot coffee in the morning to watch fantastic sunrises! Not much was done to correct the issues after management was notified. Overall, great experience and would recommend the rentals to friends and family."

"Nice vacation spot!
It was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach, just walk past the pool, out the gate, and you're there. View from our unit wasn't spectacular, but we still enjoyed it. Office staff were friendly and helpful, and maintenance responded promptly and were very courteous."

"Perfect condo for our family
This place is so close to the beach. We loved being able to easily walk down. Our condo was so clean and well equipped with everything you could need. There is no laundry in the condo and upstairs where you sleep stays much warmer than downstairs but overall great stay! Great pool too, super clean!"

"Great renovated space!
Just as described. This was the perfect place to enjoy the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed and the pool here is great. Our only note was that there was not a broom to be found and thus a lot of sand collected on the floor during our stay. Also - as of June 2021 renovation is happening next door. We were mainly out during the day so wasn't a big deal, but if you need quiet that is important to know :)"
