CLEANING
-CLEAN BED PROMISE: (Property Management) launders our standardized linen, including every comforter, every sheet, every pillowcase, every towel - EVERY TIME!
-After each stay we replace all towels and linens from our 6100SF laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
-Every property is stocked with bath towels and washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property, along with one hand towel per bathroom.
-These starter amenities are provided for your convenience until you can go shopping and are not replenished during your stay: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.
-We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your arrival.

-A two-night minimum stay is required.
-A signed Rental Agreement is required prior to check in. Contracting guests of (Property Management) must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID. The ID must match the guest’s name on the reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 25% down at the time the reservation is made. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and tax. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of payments made. Applicable refunds will only be issued to the guest by the same form in which it was made, even if a credit card has since expired or canceled. The above applies to moving dates or switching units as well. We recommend that the guest purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals. If a guest does not show up for their stay the total amount paid is non-refundable.

"Pathway to the Sea C203
I enjoyed my stay at Pathway to the Sea, C203. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment and also impressed with the quantity of towels and other amenities provided. The rental was in a convenient location on the island. My only negative was the quality of the couches. Both the smaller blue couch and the larger yellow couch are very old, out of shape, and very uncomfortable. The shower head in the walk-in shower was partially blocked so I bought some vinegar and after soaking the shower head and using some dental brushes I was able to open it up and greatly improve the flow. I would not hesitate to recommend Padre Escapes to friends and/or relatives. They were easy to work with and I appreciated their quick response when the central air didn't work."

Clean, good location, nice pool. Respectfully, the couches are painfully uncomfortable. Especially the little one. The hippos on the floor above us had dance recitals for hours, but once they returned to water it was very quiet.

Loved the location and the unit. It could use some new couches as they were a little uncomfortable to sit in without a pillow. However, overall we loved the unit and they were very accommodating for anything we needed. We are looking forward to going back next year ! "

"Pleasantly Surprised, Will Stay Again
We selected this unit because the units that face the Gulf weren't available. But we were happily surprised by the view facing the Causeway. The view from the balcony was excellent.
It was a very nice condo with plenty of room. Nice appliances; the kitchen was very nice. The king size bed was comfortable (the queen in the other room less so). The living room furniture has seen better days and a couple window blinds don't open and close properly, but the condo is in otherwise excellent shape. We will stay here again!"

"Nice Unit by Not a Comfy Nights Sleep
Clean, convenient to beach & restaurants, patio was great for watching sunsets, but bed mattresses are very, very hard! Never had a problem with mattresses in any other rental. Perhaps owner could purchase some foam mattress toppers? "

"Much needed time off
The location is great, we did the reservations a day before and they still could accommodate us with no issues at all,
It’s a two minute walk to the shore, very nice and clean, everything that we need it they have it, even provide us with dishwasher soap.
The overall experience was really good, we are looking forward for the next visit. "

"Better Bed
You have a great location..great little condo and the kitchen was well stocked. As an Inn Owner, the only complaint would be the bed. You want your guests to have a restful stay and to wake up energized. This will not happen with the bed. I really thought about going to Walmart and buying a bed in a box for you. The one big thing guests want is comfort. This should be a big priority for the owner of this place. And also, the sheets are scratchy and uncomfortable. Call me if you like and I can talk to you about my COMPHY sheets. I have them on each bed and sell them as well. Guests deserve the best. It’s the little things that make the bigger difference and better reviews. You have a great condo and location..bump it up a notch and focus on your beds. Blessings, Melissa"

"Do NOT recommend this unit
The pathway to the sea is a very nice facility, but I would recommend picking a different unit/condo. We had 4 big issues:
1. our check in was 4pm and we were not let in until 4:20pm despite multiple phone calls. My one year old was in tears and our vacation started off on the wrong foot.
2. The pool, which is very nice, was closed for our entire stay due to an electrical issue.
3. the balcony of our unit was filthy. Cigarette butts were on the ground of the balcony which were dangerous for my one year old.
4. The AC always reads 76 despite adjusting the set temp. Even though it reads 76, its either extremely hot during the day or freezing cold at night.
Overall, i would stay at pathway to the sea but would NOT choose this unit, or a unit managed by padre escapes. "

"Great location, a few concerns
This condo was nicely furnished in a great location. It was close to the beach and all the amenities we needed. There was a stale smoke smell in the condo, as well as few cleanliness issues. The rugs needed to be cleaned, the patio was filthy and one of our party stepped on a small piece of glass in the living room that was not there from us. It would be nice also to have had access to a few more bath towels and a couple of blankets. "

"Great Location and Nice Place!
This place was absolutely perfect for myself and 6 teenage boys. About a 3 minute walk to the beach, great pool and hangout area. Has a gas grill that looked nice but we didn't use it. Also after getting back from the beach, the pool area has a outdoor shower to rinse off so you don't drag a ton of san back into the condo. Depending on how long yoiu stay, an extra garbage back or 2 will be helpful. Extremely Easy check in and check out!"

"Pathway to the Sea Condo (C203)
Our condo was clean and very accommodating. The only critique I have is that the master bedroom mattress is not comfortable. May consider replacing for a more comfortable experience. We were also unable to use the restroom at the pavilion and the after hour person I spoke to said she had never been asked for a code."

"A Great Geraway
Booking and checking in were both easy tasks. The staff are friendly and responsive to inquiries. The location is nice, a short walk to the beach, and the pool and other amenities are great. The beachfront itself is unfortunately dirty, or at least was during our stay. My check out day we filled up two garbage bags of trash within about 10mins on the beach.
The room was spacious enough for the seven of us to be comfortable, though the beds may not be to everyone's liking (firmer and thinner mattresses), but I slept well and enjoyed it. Everything else about the condo was great. My only improvement would be some form of water filtration, I dislike purchasing bottled water and the tap while not bad, also isn't that great taste wise (compared to a good filtered).
I would definitely recommend others trying to get away to go down for a short stay, or longer if you can afford it.
The nearby food was pleasant. First night for dinner we had Surfside Sandwich Shoppe, it was quite good. The next night we had Black Diamond Oyster Bar, I'd say to stay away from the burgers (those in my party that got them they were overcooked), but all of the other food was great. The following night the kids had pizza from Brooklyn Pie Co and it was really good quality pizza. My wife and I had dinner in Port Aransas (about 20 minutes away) at Trout Street Bar and Grill and it was fantastic. Two of the mornings we got food and drink from Island Joe's Coffee Co and the service and food and drinks were all fantastic and it's 5minutes away.
Attractions wise we spent day 1 at Texas State Aquarium and had a great time. The drive is only about 20-30minutes. The second day we visited the USS Lexington (next to the aquarium if you don't know, but it's ambitious do both in one day).
When we return, we'll visit the aquarium again, and have plans to see the botanical gardens and art museum.

"Very Nice Unit
This is a nice 2nd floor unit. It is simply and cutely decorated. It was roomy for just the two of us. All the appliances worked and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to make us confortable. We didn’t do any real cooking, just heating up stuff. We did a couple loads of laundry so the washer and dryer was great. The street is quite busy but it didn’t really bother us. The location is very convenient and only a short walk on a private pathway to the ocean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and inviting. The only negative is the fridge smelled like fish. Also, when people moved in upstairs on our last night, they were really loud. "

"Great Place to Stay
The condo was exactly as described. Check-in was very easy and the property manager called ahead to make sure we had her number if we needed anything. It was very clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make breakfast each morning. The location was perfect. It was a 3 minute walk up the private path to the beach. We were 20 minutes from the National Seashore and less than 20 minutes from Port Aransas. Be sure to order pizza from Brooklyn Pie Company... it's right up the street and delicious! Looking forward to returning to the condo again!"

"Our Vacation was a great Escape
We had a wonderful vacation and stay at this condo. The property description was spot on as were the photos. A downside was the master bed was super super firm. So keep that in mind. I really appreciated the mobile check in and out. It was lovely to be able to walk to the beach and the pool was really nice. We also enjoyed a visit to the USS Lexington and the Padre Island National Seashore. Both are must sees."

"Pleasant Decor With Beautifully Equipped Kitchen
This is a pleasant condo located conveniently to restaurants, shopping and the beach. The decor is pleasant and our kitchen had high end cookware and everything we needed to prepare meals. If you like a firm bed, you will love the king bed in the master bedroom. (It was a little too firm for us!) There was a little maintenance on the stairwells that resulted in a bit of inconvenience and an unpleasant "metal-sanding" odor at times during the last couple of weeks of our stay...and, of course the inconvenience of the closure of the pool due to CoronaVirus guidelines. The weather, however, was beautiful, allowing us to use the beach and walk the Seawall--even with the self-distancing requirements."

"Very Nice Condo in Great Location
We completely enjoyed this condo for an extended stay (2 months). The location was ideal being a very short walk to the beach and Ellis seawall. The property is very well maintained and has a nice covered grilling area and heated pool. The condo itself is nicely laid out and has a kitchen that was equipped for all of our needs. We had one maintenance issue that we notified the property managers about and they were promptly on the issue. The agency was great to deal with and provided great customer service. We will be returning again. "

"So, so!!!
We were in Unit #203 at the Pathways to the Sea. Upon arrival, we thought the unit was clean. The decor was bright and welcoming. However, it quickly became apparent that the ceiling fans had not been cleaned in "ages". They were loaded with dust. Also, under the furniture (beds, chest, etc) were dusty, as well. Candy wrappers were under the master bed from prior guest. For the $140 cleaning fee, you would expect a little more. It seems the departing guest have to do more of the work than the cleaning person. The departing guest are ask to: lock all windows/doors, start the dishwasher, start the laundry, bag all trash and set thermostat to 78. Mind you, we only had one package of laundry detergent, so we had to go purchase laundry detergent in order to wash towels/sheets/throw blankets before departing the unit. (I might add, Taylor at the Property Management Firm was very kind and most helpful/accomodating when making our reservation. Question below does not give an opportunity to respond about the Property Management Firm - other than a yes/no, so I want to add it here.) "

"Disappointed stay
Our stay was disappointing. The condo itself was nice but beds were very uncomfortable. We booked this property based on the pool for our grand baby to which was closed the entire time of our vacation stay. The one positive is we were refunded 20% of our stay. I will recommend this property. It was clean and comfortable other than the beds. "

"Awesome Condo
We had a great time at Pathway to the Sea #203! The Condo was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It has everything we needed for a 10 day stay. It was a short walk to the beach and you could see the ocean from the balcony.
Padre Escape was very easy to work with.
