This warm, beachfront complex hideaway ground level property offers one private bedroom, an open kitchen, dining and living area with an adjacent bathroom. Without a doubt the best feature about this property is its beachfront location. You can step out your front door in the morning and enjoy watching the sun rise over the Gulf of Mexico or you can watch beachgoers all day from your front porch. Then at night you can let the sound of waves crashing on shore put you to sleep.

EL CONSTANTE COMPLEX FEATURES
-Heated, saltwater swimming pool (heated to a max temp of 86 degrees in winter months)

-Laundry facility on site, $2 for washer and $2 for dryer (Quarter exchange at front office)
-Gazebo with gas grills (Due to our frequent droughts, high winds and burn bans -No other types of BBQ grills, pits, or outdoor cooking equipment is allowed on the premises; including parking lots, patios, or balconies
CLEANING
-CLEAN BED PROMISE: (Property Management) launders our standardized linen, including every comforter, every sheet, every pillowcase, every towel - EVERY TIME!
-After each stay we replace all towels and linens from our 6100SF laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
-Every property is stocked with bath towels and washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property, along with one hand towel per bathroom.
-These starter amenities are provided for your convenience until you can go shopping and are not replenished during your stay: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.
-We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your arrival.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
-A two-night minimum stay is required.
-A signed Rental Agreement is required prior to check in. Contracting guests of (Property Management) must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID. The ID must match the guest’s name on the reservation.
-PET FRIENDLY PROPERTY: MAXIMUM OF TWO PETS/WEIGHT RESTRICTION OF 50LBS OR LESS.
-Dog breeds not permitted at El Constante due to HOA guidelines: Pit Bull-type, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, Wolf-dog hybrid, or Husky-type (including Siberian).
-$100 per pet fee (7 days or less), $200 (8-29 days), $300 (30+ days).
-$50 pet cleaning fee (7 days or less), $75 (8-29 days), $100 (30+ days).

CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 25% down at the time the reservation is made. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and tax. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of payments made. Applicable refunds will only be issued to the guest by the same form in which it was made, even if a credit card has since expired or canceled. The above applies to moving dates or switching units as well. We recommend that the guest purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals. If a guest does not show up for their stay the total amount paid is non-refundable.

"Perfect getaway

"Wonderful morning view!
Our experience was almost perfect. We visited Corpus to handle some heavy family business and wanted a stay on the beach to help decompress. This unit was perfect for that. We had some issues with the wifi and guest services had someone out within the hour to help fix it which was awesome. The only thing that made this unit less than perfect was the bed. It was super creaky and moved quite a bit every time we’d roll over so we didn’t get super restful sleep. This could be an easy fix for the unit owner though.
Other than that minor issue, it was a great unit and El Constante & Padre Escapes were great to us. "

"Room 105
We always love staying at El Constante. We were a little disappointed in the room. It's very expensive to stay in the front, which is what we love, but not worth the price. Our dishwasher had standing water in it that smelled like rotten eggs, we killed several very large roaches, and there were flying bugs in the bathroom. We had no water pressure in the bathroom sink or the shower. I just wanted to make you aware. There were also people letting their dogs use the grass right in front of our room and not picking it up. The staff is always so nice and helpful, but the room wasn't good this time."

"Peaceful stay
We were extremely satisfied with our accommodations. We are glad we brought our portable wagon to carry all our provisions as the condos on the front of the building doesn’t have direct access. "Rocking by the Beach
We had a fantastic time at El Constante 105. The property was clean and the furniture was comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the rocking chairs on the porch, watching and talking to people passing by. This location makes it very easy to spend time at the beach. El Constante and Padre Escapes are always very accommodating. We will continue to come here as often as we can."

"Corpus
Not satisfied with my stay. There was a large bubble of water in the ceiling. The Bubble was about 48” in width and length roughly, it busted and the water was dirty in the room. The water was roughly about 2” on the floor, the dresser, night stand, bed were soaking wet for roughly about 3 hours. The line of communication was not adequate, I had to call multiple times, there was no manager on duty to help the one staff person with making the decision to move me. I was charged the full amount instead of making some adjustment to my stay. The maintenance guy just came in and vaccummed the water but did no deodorize the room, use the basic box fan that we were using to dry the room He should have used an industrial fan."

"Enjoyable stay
My husband and I came for an anniversary getaway. We have stayed at El Constante before but a different unit. We chose this unit (105) as it accepts dogs too. When we arrived and entered, everything in this unit was very nice. The unit was clean and welcoming. All the info and items we needed (parking form, kitchen needs, trash bags, towels) were laid out and organized well. The unit is nicely decorated and very pleasant. The only thing I wished there had been was maybe some TV trays or a couple of end tables by the rocker recliners. We used the chairs from the dining table as tables by those chairs. But not a complaint at all-just a suggestion. Also, the owners provided nice rockers on the patio. Easy chairs to get in and out of. Really enjoyed this unit and will come back. The company prepping the unit did a fabulous job! "

"Needs major updates
We have stayed at El Constante many times. This was by far the worst experience, in regards to the rooms we rented. They were dirty, unkept, the toilet paper holder was broken off, the trash can lid didn’t work. After being there for 15 minutes, our baby’s feet were black from walking around in the room. The dishwasher smelt like a dead animal in it. Simple things that needed to be fixed but are not. For the price they charge in the prime season, they sure should have this place looking better. The view and beach access made it worth it, but the rooms need serious work. Would love to submit pictures. "

This is our second stay at El Constante and was a good experience overall. The property location is great and the surf facing room is also very nice. The unit was clean and sufficiently appointed. Our mattress was a little uncomfortable but not sure if it was worn or if the mattress topper was just too firm. We had heavy footed upstairs neighbors who seemed to never sleep but that is a chance you take getting a lower unit.

"Great location!
Condo is right on the beach and also right next to the resort pool. Condo itself was clean and had mostly everything we needed. Parking was tricky some times due to the condos that face the ocean don’t have actual parking spaces so some times we had to park farther back but it wasn’t terrible. The grounds also have a lot of grass areas for pets. The only reason u gave 4 starts instead of 5 for overall satisfaction is because I think for the money being spent to stay, the condos could be updated with newer appliances, furniture, etc."

"3 night stay in El Constante 105
We were able to easily exchange our towels etc for fresh ones each day. There was a big closet for hanging clothing with shelves in the bedroom. The bed seemed very small--not sure it was a queen; perhaps the info said double??? and I missed it. The pillows weren't very comfortable. The location was wonderful. We had one of the two story condos the past year, but it has become more difficult for two 80's to shlept all our belongings up the narrow stairs. The one bedroom was quite adequate and we did not experience any noise from above us. The two TV's worked and had adequate choices. The refrig was spacious. The right front burner on the range was an issue--uneven. I would suggest to run some cleaner in the dishwasher. It had an unpleasant odor as did the sink in the bathroom. It looked as if something like dental floss was in the bathroom sink drain. There was also a smell from the drain. If one enjoys a tub bath, there was no stopper. Bathroom did have a very nice closet with several shelves to hold makeup and many other items. The vanity also had roomy drawers. The top right drawer, however, did not open or I just didn't know how to open. Except for the minor suggestions, the property was very clean. Loved sitting in the rocking chairs and people watch. It was unbelievably windy with high waves which caused water to come up to the concrete barrier during high tide during the night, however, a grader was out early in the morning to take care of eliminating this water by draining it into the Gulf. The beach is a good one. "

"Great location for beach getaway!
We had a great time at this little gem of a condo. The direct access and view to the beach is perfect. Access to the community pool is steps away from patio. The property is kept immaculately cleaned all 24/7. There is even a security guard that patrols property at night. Highly recommend and will stay here again. Condo is updated and very comfortable all around. "

"Great spot
We enjoyed our little getaway to the beach at 105. This is our second year in a row (not the same room) staying here and have enjoyed the beach being walking distance. The only downfall we had was arriving a day before a tropical storm was set to hit. We were out of power for almost a full day so that put a damper in our stay. We had to request for more towels due to the strong winds pushing the rain into our room but understandably no one could help with that until the storm passed. We still plan to be back again next year with the hopes of no tropical storms!"

Unit #105 is in the PERFECT location! It is:
1.closest to the stairs to the beach 2. right by the foot sand shower 3. neighbors the pool entry gate, 4. has a view of the vehicle entry to the beach 5. is one unit away from the parking lot (still bring a wagon). Very clean (except from all the sand WE failed to wash off, noted for next time). We felt like we were right in the heart of where everyone was driving to. Memorial Day weekend was too short. Definitely would book again! "

Awesome place, staff and location. This year was probably the longest period of cold weather but next year maybe the warmest hopefully. Condo was nicely equipped, and grounds have a table area at end of parking lot for rinsing off cars and we use to clean fish because we catch a heck of a lot of fish. Love the Winter Texan vacationers we meet every year as well. Our 5th year best property on the seawall!

"Great location, the rest could be better
The location is great, of course. But for the price (we paid $513/night) I wish things were nicer here.
For a three night stay we were only provided two rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, and two dishwasher pods. I was able to get an additional dishwasher pod when asking for it but even asking for it was discouraged.
The disposal in the sink was broken so the drain was clogged. And the faucet in the bathroom would only put out the tiniest trickle of water unless you removed the aerator.
Most of all, I have to say that El Constante *reallllly* needs to reduce their light pollution. Having lights near staircases and in hallways makes sense. Having porch lights for each unit that can be turned on and off makes sense. I have no problem with those things. But using high-powered flood lights serves no purpose other than dimming the stars and blinding nighttime beach-walkers. This is a natural space, not a stadium. Please address this and we will be interested in returning next year."

Location and view were outstanding. People in the office were very polite and friendly. Pullout sofa was past it's prime and not very comfortable. Wouldn't want any adults sleeping on it. Unit was mostly clean but a few small areas could use some attention (cobwebs etc.)."

"Perfect location, but the place looks run down
The location is perfect since you are in front of the beach! The room needs new appliances, especially the dishwasher. The air condition makes a lot of noise, and the room was tiny. The management at the front office is very lovely but for the price that we pay — more than $500 a night, we were not impressed. "

"Room 105 Review
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and the location. Our unit, 105 was cute but the bed was very uncomfortable and noisy. The pull out sofa was TERRIBLE. It was like laying on uncovered springs. Our little boy had to just sleep on the couch and not use the pull out. The owners REALLY need to replace the bed and the pull out sofa. Also, our reservation for three nights got cancelled at the last minute to a two night stay because our unit was still under construction. We had to find a hotel and pay for another night with no reimbursement."

"Beautiful place to stay for a Great Beach View and Relaxing time
Everything about this place is good. Except when it rains hard, water came in our room thru the door and flooded the front area of room and had to remove quickly anything near door. The front desk was understanding of the situation but the maintenance said nothing could be done about our situation that was very unsatisfactory. We pay all this money for nothing to be done not even help with the flooding. "

"Paradise Lost
First let me say that El Constante has my #1 HAPPY PLACE for over 30 years. That ended on Wed., Nov. 11, 2020 when we walked out the door of condo #105 to walk on the sea wall. We were confronted by what appeared to me to be a boxer/pit bull mix dog in front of condo #106 lunging at us and the owner didn't have good control of it. As a result we were not able to enjoy the Gulf view porch that we were paying a little over $200 a day for on our last day (Thurs.) at El Constante! I'm not sure I will ever feel comfortable there again!!"

The purpose of our trip was to celebrate my husband’s birthday. #105 was the perfect beachfront location. Upon arrival, friendly staff greeted us and quickly checked us in. Property was in good and clean condition. Only problem was that on our 2nd night stay, the AC was not cooling properly in the bedroom making it an uncomfortable night. Overall we had a great stay watching the sunset, moonlight shining on the ocean and best of all the sunrise. I will definitely come back to El Constante. Please fix the AC."

Very enjoyable but the bed was very hard. Some of the pans are very old and need to be replaced. We read other reviews online so we took our own pans and a mattress pad which helped immensely! We will return and recommend this room."

Had a delightful time, steps from the gulf. Relaxing, and just what I needed. There was construction, but not intrusive. I know it will get even better as they finish these projects. Interior of unit was great, very clean. Outside patio needs power washing and general cleanup. But I am sure will be accomplished when construction finished."

"El Constante on North Padre Island
Our family loves this place. We have gone there for many years. It is right on the beach and it has a nice pool. We have recommended it to friends. My only complaints are the hot tub not being hot when we were there, and the new bright lights on the beach side of the condos. We have always regretted that the next door condo units have these huge super bright lights, which destroy the night time experience. We found out this last visit that they aren't on anymore (yay!) BUT that your units have new super bright white lights that cannot be turned off (boo). Are there specific security problems? Can the guests have a say in the lights being on? Or at least use some lower wattage yellow lights that don't cause so much light pollution. Otherwise, I'm sure we'll be back, but it would be nice to enjoy the hot tub and turn off (or down) the beachside lights."

"Weekend family getaway
We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. Despite recent hurricane damage,
The property was in great shape and the beache was clean.
We had a minor issue with the hot water handle in the shower breaking
But the manager Christy and grounds keeper Larry worked hard to remedy the situation. They even let us use another condo for showers while repairs were being made. We have been coming to El Constante for the last 7yrs and we aren't going to stop anytime soon! "

First year here. Have been in Port A for 18 years. Friendly staff, our unit was on the water so we had a beautiful view. We have always had a two bedroom so this was a lot smaller than we were used to. We also have. Serious knee problems which made a two bedroom impossible."

Beautiful oceanfront condo. Comfortable shaded porch - sit and listen to the ocean or step outside and play in the water. Always hot water in the shower, lots of storage space. Walk in closet with plenty of clothes hanging space. Unit was clean upon arrival and a broom and mop were available to sweep the unavoidable sand. We hope to return."

"The Basics
The accommodation location can't be beat--steps from the Ocean AND pool all at the same time, for a reasonable price.
The shower head that is pictured (detachable) is not actually in this unit, which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but because it's at the beach and it would have been nice to wash the sand off our bodies with the detachable shower head--I thought I'd mention for any other weirdos like me who really like that idea.
The bed is old. Way too soft. Small, and not very comfortable. BUT if you're just looking for a few nights to stay on the beach, it's doable.
Kitchen has everything you need. Great location for a laid back couple, or a small family (us...we just had an infant a few months back.)
Would stay here again, but would probably look at staying in another unit just due to the lack of updating in this one and lack of comfortability of the old, old bed."

Great place to stay. The unit we stayed in was in great condition. Very clean and comfortable. The beach is about 200 yards from the front door. We watched some of the most beautiful sunrises we ever seen. The condos are close to really good restaurants and shopping We will be back! "

Perfect location with beach and shorebirds and sky from our condo patio! Sunrise walks on the beach are steps away. The pool is wonderful and we even drank coffee in the hottub one morning! Fishing for reds on the jetty and swimming in the waves and walking down the seawall! Perfect trip! The condo is really cute and equipped with everything we needed!
There is no better location! Right on the beach and close to restaurants and activities.

"Love location
This was our second time to stay in this condo. The location is fantastic. My biggest complaint is the mattress in the bedroom. I know a mattress in a condo or hotel isn’t going to feel like home but this mattress has seen better days. You could feel every spring. It really needs to be replaced . A towel exchange would be nice for bath and kitchen towels. Overall it’s clean until you look at table lamps and they were covered with dust. "

"July Family Birthday Celebration
Family members stayed in 105, 107 & 109 at the El Constante Condos for 3 nights in July. Our family have been coming to the El Constante since 1990. The employees give excellent service, all condos are nice but we have come to enjoy the ones facing the beach best. The beach is very good in area and you can rinse off and then jump into the pool."

We had a great time!! The whether wasn't the best, but the rain held off for the most part. There are some improvements that unit 105 could definitely undergo, but the mattress definitely has to go. I've never slept on a mattress so old and uncomfortable and unless that changes, I will not return to 105"

"Nice trip loud wake ups
Been coming here for years glad to see remodel coming colors are nice. Only issue I have is I payed full price for my beach front room to be waken up every morning to hammering right outside my window. The remodel is great but I only received email informing of this a week before we checked in. Also had to tell workers to pick up after themselves as my 4 yr old almost stepped on rusty nails. Other then that and a mattress that needs to be replaced had a blast. Location is great room was clean and ready early. Staff was friendly. "

Overall, pretty good. The only negatives were the bed was rock hard and if you are going to cook bring you some good quality skillets because the ones in the kitchen are old and cheap and everything sticks. Beautiful view and excellent customer service."

"Major Letdown on any Honeymoon
Was really looking forward to staying here. Absolutely amazing beachfront view. Turned in to nightmare really quick. Shower handle was broken, so there was no hot water use, one of the chairs out front was broken so my wife and I could not sit out together and enjoy the views. Bed was so incredibly uncomfortable, felt like we were sleeping on concrete with plastic covering. Thankfully the property management got us switched to a better unit. Not beachfront, which was disappointing, but at least it was comfortable."

Nicely furnished. Walk right out to the beach. The only downside was the hide a bed was pretty uncomfortable and the extra pillows had a musty smell. Overall great stay though.
Note to owners: The water pressure in the kitchen is low, the mat at the front door is coming apart and has nails poking out."

Magnificent view of the beach. Great location to surf fishing and resturants. Condo recently remodeled. Everything in almost new condition. Good bed. No noise from any neighbors. Friendly helpful desk staff. Maintenance showed up right away when requested baking soda to address fish/bait smell in fridge. With Texas open beaches, the public also likes the beach, right by the water, in front of condos. Beach is about 200 yards deep between condo & water."

"Ruined vacation
We traveled from Arkansas. It was a LONG drive to Padre Escapes and when we got there, the room we were given was NOT what we paid for. The room smelled very bad like cat, it was dusty, the bed was a full sized bed not a king. My husband is 6ft 2 and built so we both COULD not fit on the bed. Then when we decided I would sleep on the bed, i laid down and the bed dumped me in the floor face first and on my glasses which broke. So great. Now I have broken glasses. The bed had a large hole in the thing under it. We shoved a pillow in it to help and that didn't help much it was too big of a hole. I should not have had to do that.. nor should we have had to sleep apart on our first family vacation. My son had to sleep on the pull out couch with my husband. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty, and silverware had large chunks of food on them someone had just tossed in and didn't clean. The refrigerator was not clean. The sheets on the bed and the blanket were not clean and I know this because they were very dusty and felt dusty. like how long does it take to get that way? a long time! The internet has issues and there was no storm. We notified the front desk of issues and they did nothing nor did they even come LOOK!! They said it was a king bed. I have photos it is NOT and we have a king at home. I did some research, there are MANY and I mean MANY complaints from people and reviews that complain about the exact same issues and the bed as we found during our stay. So I know it is not us being picky, and for what you pay you expect that room and stay to be what it should be and is advertised. So we decided to go out to the ocean, on our way back I had to take my shoes off to keep from falling due to the sand and water etc. so I walked barefoot from the top of the steps to the patch of grass that was in front of our room. The grass has THORNS!!! WHY!!! WHO DOES THAT! THATS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ALL THE ROOMS THATS WHERE KIDS WOULD PLAY! WHY!Doctor has remove them. smh. "

We have stayed at El Constante many times and this was the first time we were disappointed. Our condo was not up to past standards. The sheets were clean but the rest of the bedding wasn't. We had to sleep on the sofa bed because the main bed was broken. This is the first time we have been less than fully satisfied"
