CLEANING
-CLEAN BED PROMISE: (Property Management) launders our standardized linen, including every comforter, every sheet, every pillowcase, every towel - EVERY TIME!
-After each stay we replace all towels and linens from our 6100SF laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
-Every property is stocked with bath towels and washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property, along with one hand towel per bathroom.
-These starter amenities are provided for your convenience until you can go shopping and are not replenished during your stay: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.
-We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your arrival.

-A two-night minimum stay is required.
-A signed Rental Agreement is required prior to check in. Contracting guests of (Property Management) must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID. The ID must match the guest’s name on the reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 25% down at the time the reservation is made. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and tax. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of payments made. Applicable refunds will only be issued to the guest by the same form in which it was made, even if a credit card has since expired or canceled. The above applies to moving dates or switching units as well. We recommend that the guest purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals. If a guest does not show up for their stay the total amount paid is non-refundable.

"Beach Trip
The pool and pavilion are was nice. The condo was very small, old and needs updates. Kitchen did not have very nice utensils or pans. Also, you can hear everything, walls thin. Probably will not stay here again. Padre Escapes team was very helpful."

"Great location for beach goers
We enjoyed our stay and found everything clean and comfortable.
One note: the ice maker in freezer did not work, be sure to buy ice when arriving. Also, no one prepared us for the large amounts of tar on the beach. Scrub brushes and extra Dawn soap at out side faucets would have been helpful. "

"Love Whitecap Beach!
Our condo was a 3 minute walk to the beach. Interior was nicely decorated and furnishings/appliances up-to-date. Pool area was convenient, too, and there is a covered area with tables and chairs to gather there. We really prefer this area to Port A because it is quieter and a short drive to wherever you want to go. Being able to park on the beach is a huge plus since one doesn’t have to drag canopies, coolers, etc. Totally with the $12 for a pass that lasts until the end of the calendar year. There is nothing better than spending time at the beach!"

"Musty smell, but overall great!
The place was clean, staff was so nice, overall I'd recommend this place it was very comfortable and the proximity to the beach can't be beat. The only complaint I have is that the house smelled musty, like mildew. I'm not used to humid weather, so maybe that comes with the territory, but that was the only thing we noticed right off the bat."

"Condo C-104, Pathway to the Seas
We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo near the Whitecap Beach. The location was perfect...walking distance to the beach and driving distance to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and fishing.
The condo was layed out very well and accommodated 4 adults. The only thing lacking was the number of towel bars in the bathrooms. One bath towel and one washcloth was alloted to each person but there is only one towel bar and no bar in the shower to hang them to dry. I would suggest additional towel/washcloth bars or provide more linens.
We flew in and managed to pack two beach towels but being so close to the beach, it would have been nice to have a chair and/or towels for the pool and beach.
The pool was very dirty the entire time we were there and seagulls are always in the pool. Very unsanity.
I would recommend this condo but they need to upgrade the amenities."

"Check in problem
We arrived at early at 1:30 so I called to check and see if our room might be ready. I was told it wasn’t and they would text us when available. We sat in front of our unit until 3:19 when they finally texted us checkin information. No one went in and out the unit and it was already cleaned and could have been available to us. Don’t lie and say you will text people if the unit is ready early if you aren’t going to. This was my only major problem but I may not come back because of it. One of the owners was on site and even said he saw them cleaning our room early that morning. "

Our condo was clean & welcoming. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils, dishes, pans, coffee makers. There was a hose outside to rinse off with before coming in. The appliances were in good condition. We never gad any contact with anyone who works there. The pool definitely could have been cleaner... used it once & left when a roach swam towards me in the water, there were things floating in the water. The grills at the pavilion were also in need of a good cleaning.
My actual condo was wonderful.
The features open to everyone staying at the complex we’re not so well taken care of. "

"Nice place, unfortunate customer service
When we got there, we were very excited that it was a clean and had plenty of room for my family. One night, the fire alarms started beeping at 3 am every 5 minutes, and then went off for almost an hour. I called maintenance for an emergency, they said someone was on their way, and no one came. Meanwhile, I'm out sitting with my 3 kids (including my autistic child) waiting for someone to clear the alarms. After an hour and a siting of a wild animal, I called the fire dept to make sure the air was clear and reset the alarms. Maintenance guy showed up sometime the next day and no one called to make up for this awful incident. We will never stay here again. "

"Perfect Location
We loved the location of the VRBO. Ground floor- close to pool and pathway to the beach. Had everything we needed for our stay (except a scissors :) ) Would definitely stay again- but would make sure and clarify if the pool is heated or not. The pool was not heated when we were there and we were unable to swim in it - it was very cold. Other than that- a wonderful stay for a family of 5! "

"Great Location for Vacation
It’s a charming condo that is close to everything yet not too far to get over to Corpus! It was nice to see that any complaints from previous guests were taken care of. The only two negative things - the heated pool isn’t warm in March....and - the unit we rented - being a ground floor unit - our upstairs neighbors were up early and late so it was super noisy with the thump thump thump. If you are accustomed to a “homey” rental place (which I love) this is not it - more like a 5* hotel unit. Other than that - we really enjoyed it and would return because of the location- 1/2 block from the beach! "

"Spartan but close to the beach!
We rented this condo for a month. It's in a great location and a nice complex with a pool and barbecue area. This unit was a little spartan - no TV in the bedroom, no dressers for clothes in either bedroom, few serving dishes. IF you really had 8 people for a long stay I would look for a nicer unit. It was fine for the two of us with occasional visits from family. The long tern rate in the fall was a definite plus. Padre Escapes is great and fixed our minor maintenance issues right away."

"Could be a great property if it was clean!
Cons:
-When we walked in we were hit with a terrible smell of mold/mildew. It was so bad that the kids had a coughing fit at bedtime and the allergy sufferer had a flare-up and couldn't breathe. He almost slept on the patio and slept with an N95 mask. The smell was mostly gone by the third night.
-This place was filthy. The floors and showers hadn't been cleaned. I purchased a Swiffer and used an entire package of pads. The kitchen area alone came up black and muddy. The dishes had smudges on them. The drawers were filthy. There were crumbs in the silverware tray. We ended up spending our first night deep cleaning the entire condo.
-The kitchen was terribly equipped and disorganized. And filthy. Get a new set of pots and pans. Also, no room to put groceries.
Pros:
-The location is fantastic and close to the beach. We had a blast!
-Booking, check-in, and check-out are very easy.
-The appliances were nice and worked well.
-Sheets, beds, and towels were clean.
-The grounds are well kept and rest of facilities are nice."

"Disappointed in cleanliness of Unit c104
We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit most especially given COVID protocols that should have been followed. There was hair on the linen,dirty toilet seat, food particles stuck to sofa cushion armrest, food particles on dining chairs and food particles underneath table, trash on side table, large web with several dead bugs over front door, trash in master closet and the dryer vent would not go down making it unusable. The layout was nice."

This is a great location. Within walking distance to Whitecap Beach. Has a great pool and outdoor area too. I wish my unit had blackout curtains to keep the street light out of the windows but other than that everything was great. The management company is very helpful and take care of everything. "Very Dirty Condo
We were very excited about this rental because the pictures were so pretty. On first glance the place looked great when we got there. I had taken off my shoes and walked from the bedroom to the bathroom to wash up. When I washed my feet, the washcloth was gray the floor was so dirty. There were dead spiders, roaches and a live scorpion on the floor. The TV did not work for 2 days. At one point I dropped an earring and had to look under the bed, that was disgusting. We travel with cleaning supplies, so we were able to wipe down the bathrooms. The blinds in the windows were covered with dust. I did notify the management company on most of these issues. They did stay in communication with me on the TV and someone finally got it working on Sunday afternoon. They did offer to send someone over to clean the floors and exterminate. The point is when you are paying premium rates, you expect all of this to be done before you walk in the door, not after. The cleaning crew they use is less than adequate and should be fired. Apparently no one checks their work or holds them accountable. The floor plan and location was great. The other issue I has was someone kept texting me about checkout Check out was 11:00 and I got multiple texts that morning. I called at 10:55 and got attitude from someone about that. "

Hello, we had a wonderful stay at your location. Very roomy and comfortable. Loved the idea of a code for the entrance. However, a few things were unsatisfactory. Both bathrooms had the vents extremely dirt - they were caked with dust. One bathroom sink was clogged and one bathroom towel bar was broken. Also, we did not like just one TV - we wish each bedroom had a TV. And, the iron was leaking a lot of water. Thank you so much !"

We spent 4 days here for my son's birthday, and the location to the beach was fantastic! Condo was in great condition and beautifully furnished. There was 7 of us comfortably staying there. The pool was also very nice and the pavillion for bbq was large. Great place for a family vacation."

"Pathway to the Sea C104
The condo was very clean and decorated very nicely. I would suggest the addition of a love seat to the living area and the one chair was uncomfortable. The couch was very comfortable though. We were unsure of the "path" to the beach since it was unfinished. We just walked down the street the first day. It is just a short walk to the public beach. Later, when we used the path which takes you to the Island House section of beach, we were attacked by mosquitoes so take your repellant! We really enjoyed the swimming pool. It was perfect for old and young alike. In the condo, we could hear the people upstairs walking but it sounded like they were stomping around as they were packing to leave. When the new guests upstairs arrived it was even worse. I've never heard anything so loud in a hotel or apartment. We also made use of the barbeque grill and tables on the patio by the pool. All in all, I would recommend this location to friends. "

"4th of July vacation
We had a great time. The pool was great for evening dips. There was an issue of overcrowding in the pavilion. With only one two burner grill in the pavilion it created a sort of traffic jam waiting on that grill in the evenings.The unit itself was a great size for my family of four.We had an abundance of room. Could have easily slept three more people. This is a new build so there were no issues with appliances. The bathrooms we're spacious both having duel vanities. We would definitely consider this a new favorite. We recommend this for small family getaways."

"Nice Place Will Stay Again
Unit 104 that we stayed in is a ground floor unit on the back side of the building. It’s all new and has a modern beach vibe. The two bedrooms are a good size. Master bedroom as attached restroom with double sinks, toilet and walk in shower. It has a king size bed that was very firm. Second bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. Living room has a sleeper sofa and on chair. Dining area has 4 chairs and a round table. Kitchen has microwave and stove with oven. The whole complex is new and still being finished. We had an ant problem in our unit and ended up getting some spray to fight back. Other minor issues the outside light is very bright near guest room making it hard to sleep, the beds are very firm, and the guest room really needs a fan or ceiling fan. The pathway to the beach is about 300 yards long and not barefoot friendly so bring some sandals.
The location is very good. The walk to the beach is just the right length to not be considered a long walk. There is a corner store nearby for basic groceries and stuff you need for a weekend. The pool is large and has shallow areas for kids.
All in all great place to stay and it will get better once all the construction is done. We will stay there again soon."
