This spacious and luxurious four bedroom oceanfront condominium at the Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort is located in the most desirable and central location of Myrtle Beach. This 6th floor unit boasts a large living room with a large flat screen TV, a large 25 foot oceanfront balcony, a fully equipped kitchen, and a convenient high efficiency washer and dryer. Located on the 6th floor, you can park your car in the covered parking garage and walk directly to your condo without having to wait for an elevator! Plus, the Grand Atlantic is one of very few oceanfront resorts that offers enclosed hallway access to each unit---during the winter months, you can leave your condo, take an elevator to the bottom floor and access the beautiful indoor pool, indoor kiddie pool, indoor lazy river, indoor hot tub and the fitness center without ever stepping foot outdoors!
This West Indies inspired unit is available to rent as a three bedroom unit that includes a master bedroom with a king bed, private bath, and door opening onto the large 25 foot balcony. The second bedroom is furnished with two XL Full beds and a TV. The third bedroom is furnished with two XL Full beds and a TV. A second full bath is conveniently located with easy access from the second and third bedrooms. A connecting large lockout unit (4th Bedroom)with two queen beds, a full bath and private balcony is also available if you wish to rent this condominium as a four bedroom unit, enabling this unit to sleep 14 people. The lockout unit is furnished with a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and TV.
Grand Atlantic is a great resort for year round vacationing. The resort's amenities include a beautiful indoor heated swimming pool, 170 foot indoor heated lazy river with rafts, and a large indoor heated kiddie pool with mushroom waterfall and bubbling fountains. Outside, the resort boasts a 65' outdoor pool and another kiddie pool with mushroom waterfalls. Chaise lounges surround the outdoor pools, and a well-kept lawn area with chaise lounges provides additional space for sunning! The resort also offers a mini mart and a fitness center.

Linens included are as follows: 4 towels, 4 washcloths per king, queen, or full bed. 2 towels, 2 washcloths per twin bed. 2 hand towels and 1 bathmat per bathroom. 1 kitchen hand towel and 1 kitchen dish rag. You will also receive a starter roll of toilet paper in ever bathroom and 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. ***
House parties and Groups: House parties and groups with members under the age of 25 are prohibited. We do not rent to non-family groups unless ALL members of the group are 25 years of age or older. Any misrepresentation by groups of their age will not qualify for refunds.

The good: Condo was very nice/clean,great balcony, convenient parking, elevators were fast (thankfully!)
The not-so-good: Crowded beaches, would only let us put up umbrelllas BEHIND the rental umbrellas/chairs, which were very expensive. "

"Great oceanfront vacation!
The condo was exactly as we had hoped. It was spacious and comfortable. You do have to travel about 15 minutes from the condo to pick up and drop off the keys which was a bummer but not a deal breaker. The rental office was extremely helpful and reaponsive and the condo building office was equally as great. Would totally stay here again!"

"July Stay 2020
13 family members from ages 7 to 63 stayed Saturday to Saturday in July of 2020 (5 children, 2 teenagers and 6 adults). We enjoyed time in the lazy river, sun rise walks on the beach, looking out over the beach from balcony. Near by we did ice cream, put-put, WonderWorks, shopping and dining out. Good place to stay. "

Grand Atlantic Resort 601 was perfect for our family. The condo is large and well laid out. The appliances appear to have been recently updated, the furniture is clean, and the floors are in good condition. We also rented the adjoining condo to accommodate our large family, and it couldn't have been a more perfect setup. I highly recommend this rental."

"Decent rental
The view from this condo is exceptional. The condo itself is half updated and half dated. The 4th bedroom option was flooded when we arrived and the air conditioner continued to leak. The balcony of the 4th bedroom was FILTHY and unable to be used do to leaking air conditioner and fill!!! The other bedrooms were spacious but we found left over items and food from precious renters which were concerning, as if the rooms were not cleaned. The bedding was dated and stained and OLD. The kitchen sink was grimy and the cabinets were as well. The main patio had updated furniture. The grand Atlantic is overall dated and dirty. You feel as if you are in the 80’s staying there. The elevators smell and the pools are filthy. "

Our original vacation rental property that we selected through VRBO was not in acceptable condition to stay. VacationMB recognized this and offered to move us to another property that was located directly on the beach ( an upgraded property). The Grand Atlantic 4 bedroom unit that we stayed in was beautifully decorated and spacious with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The only negative was that our extended family was staying in a different location so we had to travel 1/2 hour each way several times a day to be together. (the original property was located right across the street from my family's rental. "

"Nice for off season
Loved the heated pool and amenities for off season and cool weather. The condo was much smaller than the pictures and the carpet is in major need of replacing. Bed coverings are dated and thin and there were only sheets beneath. Would be nice to have thicker duvet or more supplemental blanket. Otherwise nice improvements throughout, new flat screen tvs, decor and great little kitchen. The whole place was very clean, lots of towels."

My stay was excellent. The rooms were clean. Even though the carpet was worn there was no odors The location is excellent. On the beach and close to WalMart..very important if you have family to cook for. Initially the property manager was very helpful. But checkout was horrible. My error was not reading the information completely. I knew there would be an extra charge but I did not expect the resulting drama and hysteria over things not done. Example, dishes not done. He accused my group of writing on a piece of furniture. He was absolutely hysterical. Yelling at me on the phone and demanding that I bring my family back to "confess" to the alleged damage. I went back myself and looked at the supposed damages and it was very clear that it was old and had been there for quite some time. To quiet him down from the ongoing hysteria I offered to pay for the alleged damage. He said that I should pay the cleaning lady $100. I declined and said they could take it out of my deposit. His actions were clearly intended to intimidate and as a result get cash from a customer under duress. Again the property was excellent, and a good location but that manager was unprofessional and inappropriate. If this is the way he reacts to problems then he should not interact with the public I give it an overall rating of 5 with the exception of the manager I give a 1"
