A wonderful family vacation awaits you in our luxurious five bedroom, four bath oceanfront condominium. The Southwind is located in a quiet residential setting along the 'Golden Mile'. It offers exceptional oceanfront amenities including indoor & outdoor pools, a large lazy river, two outdoor and one indoor hot tub, a kiddie pool and an exercise facility. Enjoy the fitness trail and oceanfront children's playground nearby.
Our 2,400 sq. ft. five bedroom condominium located on the 15th floor offers panoramic ocean views with relaxing ocean breezes from the large private wrap around balcony. The balcony can be accessed from the living room and master bedroom. A fully equipped kitchen with appliances and granite countertops.
This condominium has a large master suite with king size bed, flat screen TV, jacuzzi tub, separate shower and two sinks, granite countertops and large walk-in closet. The second bedroom has two queen size beds, flat screen TV and private bath. The third bedroom has a queen size bed with private bath, flat screen TV, private balcony with ocean view. The fourth & fifth bedrooms have ocean views & share a full bath, both have flat screen TV's and each has 1 queen.
A large open Living area with one standard sofa and one sofa bed, Flat screen TV, high speed internet. Enjoy golf, tennis, shopping, live shows, great dining choices in on the the most sought after oceanfront vacation spots in the world.
***Parking is limited to two vehicles***
~~Motorcycles, trailers and golf carts are not permitted on the grounds~~
The housekeeping fee includes departure cleaning service and linens, including towels, washcloths, hand towels, and bath mats. Any stained, non-washable, ruined linen will be subject to additional charges. Our linen is NOT to be used to remove makeup or clean up messes. However, guests will need to bring additional supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels, as only a starter roll is provided.
House parties and Groups: House parties and groups with members under the age of 25 are prohibited. We do not rent to non-family groups unless ALL members of the group are 25 years of age or older. Any misrepresentation by groups of their age will not qualify for refunds.

"Vacation 2025
Location was excellent. Room on end of unit was nice. Minor things could be improved but nothing that made our stay less relaxing. Would definitely stay there again. "

"never again
Not what I expected at all. Very unhappy. First the indoor pool area was under construction and I was not informed of that.This was one of the main reasons I book this spot. Second the place was so dirty they had to call the cleaning crew in while we were there to clean the place again. Next out of the three doors that lead to balconies we could only get one open. One bathroom had a drain that was so slow water built up in the show as you were using it. The master bedroom shower had mold in it. The green couch had ripped cushions and was dirty. After one day of walking barefoot on the tile floors we realized our feet were getting black. Not sure the last time the floor was properly mopped. Fans wobbled in two of the four bedrooms causing a squeaking. The beds were very uncomfortable. And last the dryer died with three days left of our stay. The pictures made this place look beautiful to the point that I purchased the extra insurance but after seeing the place that was a waste of money. There is more but tired of typing. I have many pictures of all the issues that can be forward to anyone that cares. I do have to say the management company did try to help some what. However after contacting him every time I had found issue i just stopped calling as it was taking more time away from my family. "

"A Very Wonderful Stay!
We had the most awesome time for our holiday vacay! From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt right at home.The host was always readily available, before, during and after our stay. It was 9 of us (including adults and children). It was the perfect location with everyone coming from different parts of the country. Everyone had their own space. It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and the view overlooking the beach was a plus! Since it was the Thanksgiving holiday we did a lot of cooking and it was plus to find all the utensils, bakeware, pots and pan, etc. that we needed! We're already talking about doing the same for next year..lol! Thank you so much for such an enjoyable, memorable Thanksgiving vacay!"

"Annual Girls Beach Trip
Unit had dead bugs still on the floor in the dining room, lots of cracking and peeling of paint on baseboards,
refrigerator was on max but didn't get items cold, rust or mold around the air vents, beds and pillows were extremely firm and uncomfortable"

The location was great and the space was plenty for my family of 9 adults and a baby. Beach chairs and umbrellas were already there which saved us money. While the place could use some updated decor, it was very neat and clean. The balcony had an amazing view! We’ve stayed in many places in Myrtle beach but this is by far the best one yet! Owners are very attentive and respond quickly."

Condo was nice and clean, mattresses were not the best. Outdoor furniture legs were so rusty that the bottoms of the chairs were broken off and pieces were on the deck carpeting. Otherwise, everything was functional."

Was perfect for 5 couples for the weekend. Comfortable, clean, oceanfront. Needs a few more basics in the kitchen (glasses, coffee cups, wine glasses, silverware) and the front bathroom shower needs new caulk but that was the only complaints from the group."

The unit is huge and we love staying at SouthWind. The resort is so quiet and peaceful. The unit itself is definitely in need of a facelift. The furniture is worn and not very comfortable and the linens, etc are showing definite signs of age. VacationMB LLC was awesome to work with and even had our unit ready early! This seems to be a rarity anymore and it was much appreciated! "

Very nice experience. Loved the size and features. The top floor was a bonus. Minor issues were a loose arm on a dining room chair, very small amount of what looked like mold in master shower, wind noise from under the front door and one queen bed should have been replaced. All other beds, pillows towels were clean and plentiful. Kitchen was well appointed. Living room is in good condition. A bit worn and dated in some places but would definitely like to return. "

"Great location
Great location, awesome corner unit. However this unit is very outdated and the furniture is very worn. The bedroom carpets are extremely worn. The shower had mold in the corners. The dryer had to be turned on numerous times to dry the cloths. Disappointed that there was no Keurig coffee machine. This unit can really use a makeover for the $ that is charged."

"A bit disappointed
A beautiful location but the unit was a bit outdated and had absolutely none of the basic amenities like hand soap, dishwasher pods, coffee filters, salt and pepper. These are all things that are normally - in my experience- in every rental unit when you check in. The floors were also dirty and when you walked around barefoot, your feet were black. Disappointing. "

My sisters and I booked this unit to celebrate my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. Large rooms, comfy beds, large living and dining area. But the views took our breath away. You can't beat the sunrise or sunsets from the balcony. We bundled up and sat outside with hot drinks taking it in! Simply wonderful. Thank you"

"Golf trip with wives
The unit was perfect, five bedrooms and four baths was plenty big enough four four couples. Read other reviews before booking and was concern about the furniture being “dated” but everything was very nice.We had a great time and our wives loved it. We will definitely look to book this again."

"Wopnderful Stay in Myrtle Beach
We had a good time. The condo is dated. The couches need to be replaced. We did have issues with a few things in the condo and called property management and most were fixed. The door to the balcony was very hard to open. Maintenance came and put some lubricant on it, but still was very hard to open. "

"Room For the Whole Family
My husband and I with our two kids, their spouses, and all four of our grandkids stayed at this property for a long weekend. There was plenty of room for all of us without tripping over each other. The beach view was beautiful and there was plenty for us to do given the property is directly beachfront and the boardwalk, broadway, restaurants, and other entertainment and activities are all nearby. The condo itself is well suited for a vacation stay. As other reviewers have said, I would say that the condo is in need of some updating, especially the carpeting and furniture. We are planning a return stay this fall, but will likely look for a more updated unit in this building. The amenities are location can't be beat."

"Who Could Ask For More?
The Southwind 1506 was everything our 3 generations family of 10 could granddaughters and grandson each had their own rooms, the living room was sooooo spacious and the dining table large enough for us all to play games. Enjoying early morning coffee on the oceanfront balcony was heaven. Every room was clean and fresh and beautifully decorated. The indoor pool, the outdoor pool, lazy river and hot tubs and of course the beach delighted us all.The location was so conveniently close to our favorite restaurants, mini golf courses, amusements and shopping. We all had a fabulous week and truly enjoyed our stay in 1506."

Our family of 11 enjoyed the week at the SouthWind. The condo was very spacious, clean and the beds and furniture were nice. Since COVID was abound we stayed on the property pretty much the entire week. The kids enjoyed the different pools and beach, therefore the adults enjoyed the week too. Only issue was the Patio Door would stick, called Maint. to fix. They tried but was unsuccessful, said needed to be replaced. Suggest you confirm door replacement before renting. Overall great vacation."

Amazing stay! The penthouse condo was a great choice for our family vacation. Very clean and well maintained. My only complaint was the living room furniture. The couches were all caved in and dated. Other than that it was incredible! Perfect oceanfront location, extremely convenient parking and not crowded at all! We go to Myrtle Beach every year and have never been able to come down and get a spot at the pool so easily! Not having to drive up 6 floors in a parking garage was great! We will definitely be staying at Southwind again!"

"Southwind 1506 8/10-8/17/19
Just came back from another wonderful stay at Southwind in Myrtle Beach. There are 10 of us that go, so the 5 bedrooms are great. As always the unit was clean. However, we did notice that the unit could use a fresh coat of paint and maybe some updated furnishings. One of the couches is a little saggy. The management staff was very friendly and helpful when we stopped to pick up the keys. We also met some of the other tenants who also seemed very friendly. We love it so much that I am trying to convince my husband we should buy a condo down there and retire. Overall I would give this a 4.5 out of 5. 1/2 point off for the couch. I would highly recommend this place. The beach is never crowded and it’s right outside your door. ��. We are already talking about another family vacation for 2021,"

We enjoyed our stay at South Winds. Beach was beautiful and not crowded. Pools and hot tubs were well maintained. Unit was well suited for our large group (14 guests). Unit could use some maintenance (walls, pull out couch needs to be replaced, balcony furniture a bit worn). Large kitchen table as very nice, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were adequately maintained. Nice view from main living room, master bedroom and some other bedrooms."

Excellent Stay. View front the condo is amazing.
Wrap around patio is great for sitting in the sun and watching the waves. Ocean as far as the eye can see ! Unit is very large and very clean. Plenty of space for even the largest of families. Very convenient location. Close to everything but not crowded. Would definitely return to stay at this condo."

"K Family Reunion - 2017
The Southwind facility itself is very nice and well maintained. Loved the pools and hot tubs, very clean and maintained. Unit 1506, however, is very much in need of a renovation. The furniture is very old and worn,some of which in disrepair. The curtains are old, dusty, and dingy. The walls need to be painted. The clothes dryer did not work. Over all the unit felt dirty and really needs a deep cleaning. Food crumbs in the cushions, crackers under the sofas. Sticky counter tops. We needed to purchase air fresheners for all the major rooms to mask the mustiness, and surface cleaner to clean the countertops and bathrooms."

We liked the condo very much. 10 people, 5 couples. A bedroom for each couple and 2 couples shared a bathroom which worked well. We cooked 3 dinners and 2 breakfasts and left a note of some items lacking in the kitchen. Otherwise kitchen was great Dinning area and living rooms suited for playing cards/games. Location of condo very handy to everything."

Four couples shared unit 1506 (PH6) a five bedroom/four bathroom condo. It was perfect for our needs. A large living-room accommodated all eight of us comfortably. An in unit laundry room was a great bonus. Bed were comfortable and wifi was fast. Wonderful accommodations."
