| Description |
This rental is for an older, authentic fishing and hunting cabin built in the 1950s. We have tried to preserve the flavor and have added some upgrades, such as a 2nd bathroom and deck, but the cabin is not fully modern, for instance, we do not have an ice machine or dishwasher. The floor plan is semi-open with living room / dining room & eat-in kitchen which leads to the deck. The cabin is NOT suitable for large groups or huge parties. That said, it is well maintained, clean and cozy and will accommodate one couple or 8 to 10 adults easily. We think you will enjoy it. The cabin rental comes with the use of our private pier. The locked pier is located straight out the back gate, just on the other side of the service road. The pier is available year round, summer and winter. With the proper license, you can fish off the pier. Ice fishing is popular. We have life jackets available in a variety of sizes. See boat rental below. The cabin rental also comes with the use of a private sandy beach with a new pier located within 2 blocks of the cabin. There are indoor and outdoor games for your use at the cabin. There is a small baby swimming pool and folding baby stroller. We furnish a comforter (in cool weather) and 2 blankets for all 8 beds: 2 queens, 2 fulls, 3 twins, and a queen hide-a-bed. We furnish lots of towels for 2 bathrooms and kitchen. We can also furnish sheets for an additional fee of $10 per bed. We furnish bath soap, dish soap, hand soap, TP, paper towels, new kitchen sponge, & BBQ tools. The kitchen is fully stocked with service for 12, pots & pans, baggies and even a pancake griddle. We suggest you bring your sheets or sleeping bag, beach towels, picnic blankets, fishing poles and gear, folding crib (if needed), dog bed, BBQ charcoal, napkins and paper plates. Note: anything you find on the 1st & 2nd floor in the cabin is for your use; our personal items are put away. In the basement, 1/2 of the basement is for renters' use and 1/2 is used for storage by the owners.
