I do recommend this property but with reservations: Yes, the 180 degree view of Canyon Lake is lovely but the house needs a good cleaning, especially the porch (ceiling and floors and cushions). Bedspreads are stained (upon turning them back), bathrooms lighting is minimal, three-way bulbs need to be replace along with some of the ceiling fan lights. Some of the wall-hangings are attached with velcro and can fall for no reason (master shower wand, too). Also, not all the sliding doors open and those that do are heaving and tend to stick. You will need to bring shampoo and soap, kitchen and laundry cleaning products, all spices (including salt and pepper) if you're staying for more than two nights. Besides the view, the beds are VERY comfortable and customer service is readily available. We would rent again IF this place got a massive cleaning. We really enjoyed watching all the wild life roaming around and watching the sunset over the water. The only downside was there were quite a few repairs that are needed and the home was dusty with stained carpets. The shower drain in the master bath was clogged and took over an hour to drain after use. Also, the bedding was stained. We had to wash it before use. The downstairs pull out bed was missing some springs and was not in a condition in which it could be used. There is lake access but it's down a steep hill and not good for swimming with young kids. Overall, the views were great but we will not be booking this rental again. The patio area is the only area that needed attention, looks like it had not been cleaned, there were spider webs, and bird droppings all over the place. I clean the chairs, the railings, the tables, it was very dusty and dirty out there. The grill did not work, both propane tanks were empty, but we improvised, also the fireplace was still dirty. Other than that the house itself was very nice, the owners or management company should have done a walk-through before hand though. The house smell like it been locked up for a while. I would still recommend this property, just need to ensure that everything is in working condition and that the cleaning people actually clean really well. I would definitely stay here again. The experience was the best part, everybody loved how there were deer every morning in the yard and there were little baby deer running around down by the water. Everybody in the neighborhood was very nice and there's easy access to the water from the property. We could easily throw in tubes, kayaks and paddle boards right down into the water. There is no man-made dock but there's practically a natural dock there at the bottom of the property to get into the water. You don't feel like people come and go, you feel like you're the first people in after a nice remodel. I would completely recommend this lake house. I think my 6-year-old daughter said it best when she said, I wish I had a time machine so we could go back to the first day of the lake trip." Jul 01, 2020 - Clair H. Fans and mist on the patio were perfect. Had some issues with A/C, TV's, BBQ pit was very filthy and propane didn't work. Property management was notified and responded quickly.
