This quaint blue cottage on the Guadalupe River (no river view from cottage) between the 2nd and 3rd crossing on River Road in New Braunfels. The fenced lot is on approximately 2 acres with ample parking and filled with luscious pecan trees for plenty of shade. There is 145 feet of river front with decks, and a cement walkway for river access. House has private charcoal BBQ/picnic area right behind cottage under a huge pecan tree. Tube rental is just yards away! There are 3 houses on this property that share the river access, the Texas Star sleeps 14 and has river views. Right next to the Texas Star is the Wagon Wheel with river views and sleeps 14. If you have a large party, please inquire about the other 2 houses.
Step inside the cottage into the sun room with a dining table that seat 6 and has 2 twin trundles (sleeps 4). The cozy living room has a new sofa and 3 chairs as well as a twin trundle (sleeps 2). Fully equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home including a Keurig 12 cup & K cup combo coffee maker. There is a dining table in kitchen seating 4. The master bedroom has a king bed and a full bed (sleeps 4). This home has one full bathroom with a deep shower tub combo. Owners have provided a child's highchair and Pac N Pay for convenience. This home has streaming TV and WiFi that was updated March of 2024 and is much stronger now! Cell Phone Service is very spotty in this area. No refunds/cancellations for outages. Firepit (bring your own wood) and corn hole onsite to use as well!
NO PARTIES, NO SMOKING! Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property for the duration of the stay. This home has a maximum occupancy of 10 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. You can park 4 vehicles at this property.
The house is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown New Braunfels, historic Gruene and Schlitterbahn water park. Shopping is just 20 minutes away at the outlet Malls of San Marcos. Nearby attractions in San Antonio include the Alamo, Fiesta Texas, and the famous San Antonio River Walk, just 30 minutes away. You are also a short 45 minute drive from the state capital of Austin, and all it has to offer. In New Braunfels, you will never run out of things to do!
This cabin is one of the 8 Moo Cow Cabins. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home may be monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $1500.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival will result in full forfeiture of payment. On monthly reservations the cancellation policy increases to 30 days. "Great Location Ok property condition
Great location close to the water but not too close to the other properties which could result in it being potentially noisy. Plenty of beds and bath towels. The beds were a mix bag of ok, hot or very uncomfortable. The ac worked great, they provide a box fan, extra blankets, and pillows. The charcoal grill could use some updating/upkeep. The fire pit was very nice and we enjoyed it. The property felt like it had been cleaned but had sat vacant for a long time, it had a bit of an odor and some dead bugs (water bugs and hornets) in the bedroom when we arrived; I feel that if it had been clean very recently these bugs would have been cleaned up. I have photos of them if requested. The bathroom had a window that opens to one of the sleeping area and it very strange and was the lever to open and close it was broken so it was open a crack, I did would could to make it work so we could have privacy."

"Surprisingly comfortable beds and great tubing access!
Great location and access to tubing. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of towels for all our guests. The only recommendation is to wash the comforters more frequently. The one on the king bed had a large stain on it as well as the matching pillow cases. The other sheets and white pillow cases were clean and fresh. Other than that, everything was comfortable and clean."

"Not recommended!
The home needs many maintenance improvements. The doors don’t close and jam. The handrail on the back porch was broken and rotten. The home had funky smell when we arrived. The bed sheets and comforters in the master room were dirty. There were no cleaning supplies available to clean up. We had to buy them or make due. We spent most our time out doors so the cold a/c was nice to return to. Over all we would not stay here again. "

The house was almost perfect for what we needed, except the description said washer/dryer and there wasn’t one. You will NOT have a good signal at all (not the house’s fault, they tell you ahead of time) so bring a radio or have music saved on your phone. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining! The house was what we needed! Just a heads up for any future users! Enjoy!!"

"Relaxing on River Road
We had an awesome 3 days with family and friends! The Bluebonnet Cabin was clean and spacious for our group of 9. Floated the river all afternoon watching the ducks and several turtles looking for people food. There was great shade under a large pecan tree by the cabin with the grill and deck. Will be back! "

You need to make it very clear on your website that the AC cannot go below 74 degrees. Nights were very hot and uncomfortable in the house. If your AC freezes when you go below that the. Get a new AC unit!! Will not book that place ever again "
