Cancellations: As an initial deposit, we take 50% of the reservation total at the time of your booking. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 60 days prior to your arrival date.
Should you need to cancel prior to final payment (60+ days prior to arrival date), you will receive a full refund of your initial deposit.
Cancellations made after final payment (within 60 days of arrival date), are not eligible for refund. You are financially responsible for the entire amount of the reservation less cleaning and pet fees. Please consider purchasing travel insurance in order to be eligible for reimbursement of non-refundable prepaid travel expenses.
Refunds: Conditions beyond our control i.e. weather, road conditions, power outage, government mandated travel restrictions, TV outage, phone outage, Wifi outage, Hot tub problems or guest emergencies do not constitute a basis for refunds.

"A well-stocked, cozy stay
Our stay here was great. My family of 6 stayed here for 3 nights, and we all wished we could stay longer. The house was well equipped with kitchen items for us to cook for ourselves, and there were plenty of outdoor and indoor spaces for us all to spend time together or do our own thing. There were so many bonuses about this house, it was hard to decide how we wanted to spend our time. We were able to roast marshmallows on the easy to use propane fireplace, lay on the hammock, hang out in the hottub, and play card and board games inside at the large table.
On the downside, the rooms were just a little bit small. It's a very minor complaint being that we were only using the bedrooms to change clothes or to sleep, but I add it here just for the sake of transparency.
The thing that bothered me the most was being added to their e-mailing list after booking the stay, and receiving far too many e-mails that weren't directly related to our stay there. If the stay wasn't so well priced and nice, that part alone would absolutely deter me from booking here again. With the quality and pricepoint, I'd book it again and just make sure to unsubscribe from their mailing list immediately. "

"Magical Forest
Red House Plus was located in a fantastic spot, in what felt like a magical redwood forest. The decor and furniture is great, the kitchen is well-stocked with all the appliances you need. The hot tub worked perfectly, as did the fire table.
Two issues, in case you end up staying in the bottom room as well. There is almost no sound insulation, so if you’re in the downstairs room with the separate entrance (which is only rented out in conjunction w the upstairs) then you will hear every step people take upstairs. Not a problem since they’re your group, but we had children with us who woke up at 6 am and we were up then too. Another issue is towels: there were 7 of us (and we let the management company know) and there were only 6 towels. They make it clear that you need your own towels for the hot tub, which we had, but if you’re staying for three nights you’re going to need more than one towel per person. Also, they provided only one tiny sliver of bar soap per bathroom and only 6 dishwasher pods/detergent. This doesn’t detract from the fantastic place, which we would rent again in a heartbeat and have recommended to all our friends. It just gives the impression that the rental management company is somewhat cheap, despite the pretty hefty charge for the rental. "

"Great Cabin
I stayed there with my friends for my 50th bday. The cabin was clean with all the amenities. It was really cute and comfortable. Under the redwoods, we relaxed in the hot tub in the evenings. The cabin was close to Johnson's beach, Armstrong Redwoods, and other places we went. Great cabin and great stay!"

"Wonderful place to stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Little Red House Plus! The kitchen is beyond stocked, absolutely everthing you need. Our group was two families, 4 adults and 3 teenagers. The space more than accomodated us. It is updated, clean, quaint and perfect for a relaxing stay in the trees. Definitely recommend!"

Was an excellent location. Well stocked kitchen. Quality utensils and equipment. Hot tub was great. Agent was very accommodating and helpful. Would have been hard to find but the agent had us follow her to the property. We only used the bathroom in the downstairs unit. A lot of stairs especially to the downstairs unit and for parking. Gas fireplace was excellent. Needs more lighting in the dining room. Located across the highway from excellent 9 hole golf course. Close to shops and restaurants in Guerneville. Short drive to Bodega Bay. Close to Anderson redwoods state park."

"Perfect for Two Families!
Our reason for visiting was a small reunion with friends who had moved out of state. We wanted the kids to be able to play together while the parents caught up, cooked, relaxed and did a little remote work when needed. The Little Red House was absolutely perfect for this! The neighborhood was cute, quiet and had friendly neighbors. We walked dogs, used the grill, and the kids got to do a little safe exploring nearby. Minutes from Monte Rio, Occidental and of course Guerneville itself, we had so many opportunities to adventure together and really soaked in the time. Would definitely recommend/return! "

"Perfect for our group
The house was perfect for us, and had a great kitchen for preparing all sorts of treats. The hot tub was clean and perfectly heated, and the TV and remote speaker let us have some fun evenings. We wished there was a gated area on the deck for dogs to be outside off leash, but otherwise the deck was a beautiful area to read books, draw, and play cards. Thanks so much!"

"Stunning Property, Adorable House, Exceeded Expectations!
We stayed seven nights in The Little Red House Plus and absolutely loved it! I was worried it would not be as nice as it looks in the photos, but it did not disappoint. The house and the setting are stunning! The wow-factor is definitely there! The entire place was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked for making our own meals and the gas grill worked well. The beds were very comfortable, the water pressure in the showers was good and the Wifi speed was fast. We enjoyed evenings sitting on the deck, in the hot tub or inside by the fireplace. The central location was convenient for day trips to Sonoma, Napa, and the coast. It was a quick walk across the street to the golf course, coffee shop, and restaurant. Management was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The only negative aspect are the excessive fees charged, which are disclosed when making your reservation, so there are no surprises. I’m ready to reserve my next stay! "

Loved every second in the Little Red House. It was beyond my expectations in almost every way! I would suggest putting a mini-fridge in the "plus" part, as it's not really connected to the "big" house upstairs, but it was really no big deal to the people who stayed downstairs. Perfect location, loved every minute of our trip, hope to come back next year. "

"What a great get away house!
We had a lovely little 2 night stay at the little red house. Everything was as described and worked really well. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and the oven is really easy to use and warms up quickly. Beautiful house located in the redwoods. Perfect retreat for my sisters, father and I to escape to. Great location! We zip lined and visited the coast. The deck was spectacular. We spent many hours eating and playing games. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Excellent property
The property was wonderful. Very beautiful setting in amongst the redwoods with lots of privacy (even though there are neighbors), The entire area was very peaceful and quiet. The house itself was also great, very clean, well laid out. The couple of issues we had were dealt with on the same day that we called (loose towel rack, no extra garbage bags). It can be a little tricky getting there because of the winding roads for the last 1/4 mile. We especially had a difficult time finding the road to the back of the property where the most ample parking exists. It is on a different road. This was remedied by a walk the next morning to do some exploring. Mystery solved. I would highly recommend this property to anyone."

"Little Red House Plus review
This house was fantastic! There was plenty of room for our group of six and we were pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was. The outdoor space was a lovely bonus and the location was very peaceful and quiet. The house was close to downtown Guerneville and not a bad drive to Healdsburg (40 minutes) and the Sonoma/Napa area (hour to an hour and a half) so we were able to get a great value while still enjoying wine country. The only time we had trouble was figuring out where to park when we first arrived (you access the parking off of Old Monte Rio Road, not Ridgecrest) and we didn't realize that the third bedroom and second bathroom were in the downstairs portion of the rental with no interior stair access. Neither of those things were totally clear from the check in instructions but we were able to figure it out. "

The house is well maintained and clean. I used the hot tub and the hammock and had no issues with either. Hot tub was filled with fresh water the day after our arrival which was nice. We locked ourselves out one day and I reacived a call back right away and had a key by the time we returned to the house. I would recommend anyone stay here. Only thing to be aware of is the stairs. If you have anyone traveling that has a hard time moving around this will not be the house for you."

"Beautiful Time in a Beautiful Place
Stayed in Little Red House Plus with a few friends over the weekend. Had a wonderful time! The house is nestled between the redwoods, which maintain its temperate microclimate around the property. One to note is that there isn't any walkable river access. Would certainly recommend!"

Enjoyed the Little Red House. The only complaints would be that the dinner ware needs updated. There were many that were chipped. Also the fireplace needs cleaned. There was a very strong smell of burnt wood in the house."

"A nice home in a great location
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but experienced a few inconveniences. First, you should know that you will be interacting with a property manager, so you will Be once-removed from the owner.
Some of the negative issues we experienced:
- cable and WiFi was not working during our stay
- if arriving at night, be aware that the driveway is not on the street listed in the address; it is located on the bottom of the hill and not shown in the listing photos
- several of the lightbulbs in the house and outside were burnt out
- one of the mattresses sinks toward the center and needs replacing
- the wheel/leg on anther bed was broken and had to be propped up with a log
- the house is not stocked with firewood logs; purchase them at the Safeway in town
- tissues were also not stocked — see Safeway above

"Beautiful home in the woods
We loved our stay at the Little Red House. We had 7 people - a family reunion and it was a perfect place and location for us. The setting is beautiful surrounded by huge redwood trees. The outdoor space was definitely our favorite and we ate outside each day and used the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped. And two full bathrooms made showering with 7 much easier. The downstairs separate bedroom and bath were gorgeous and newly renovated. My main complaint was the beds upstairs. One room has a queen but the other two have a double and a single. The double really isn't big enough for two and the quality of mattress is in need of repair - very saggy and uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was wonderful! "

"Great vacation home
We stayed at this cabin in November for a weekend. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The downstairs had a suite that was amazing and then upstairs was cute with with three small bedrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything I needed to cook. My only small complaint is that the hot tub was only a four seater. For this big of a house and larger hot tub would have been better but it's not a deal breaker. "

"Very god location
The house is well located and confortable. Teh kitchen well stuffed.
Regretfully, it has rain and going for and back the lower unit was not so much pleasant. We have not paid attention during the booking that the lower unit has not conection from inside the upper main part.
We have experienced some problems and the managent responded fast, the TV at the lower unot did not wok and could not be repaired diuring the weekend stay.
We send the management our comments regarding the need to clean the toilets ( we have sent them a picture ) as well as to clean the kitchen utensils properly.
We have suggested the management to add some little things like tissue paper in the bedrooms and towels for the whirpool as turists like us do not carry towells neither detergent for the washing machine.
Our summary: the property is located in an excellent place and has most of the things required to offer a confortable stay but needs some minor improvements and a better cleaning (which is charged to the booking fees )
The area is beautiful and the town nearby lovely.

"Family Getaway
We enjoyed our stay at Little Red was perfect for all our familiy needs. My daughter, husband and infant had the suite downstairs. The house is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is newly remodeled with all amenities. Beds very comfortable. Location is on a hill and there a plenty of stairs to keep you in shape. You are within walking distance to Northwood golf couse. It is very quiet among the redwoods with a super clean hot tub and nice deck area for sitting and enjoying family. The hammock was a big hit with the kids. The 2 dogs had lots of room but there is no fence around property. My only suggestion would be to have screens on all the windows.We had a wonderful four days only wish it could have been longer. "

We had a very good time. Everything worked well, the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The hot-tub was clean. So, we were satisfied.

"Perfect getaway
A small group of friends decided we wanted to have a quiet retreat to watch the big game (SB50) away from the hubbub in the city. A coworker told us about her visit to the Little Red House and suggested we head there--so glad we did!
We spent a long weekend together in the woods. We went jogging every morning around the golf course, sunrise in the redwoods is amazing! We went to the ocean and spent a couple of hours visiting Fort Ross and some of the small seaside towns. We had lunch at Trio and got to meet "Wild Bill" who was by far the most entertaining character we'd encountered in a while. We made delicious meals in the kitchen and sat around talking, watching movies (and the game), and soaking in the hot tub.
Not only would I recommend it, I'm planning to go back for another long weekend!"

"Perfect getaway!
I rented this home with 5 other women for a friend's bachelorette party and it was so perfect! As others have said, the pictures don't do the place justice! When we drove up to the house we couldn't believe it was the place we rented. The home was very clean and well equipped.
Since the house is situated among redwoods, it's pretty cool outside and the house stays a comfortable temperature even if it's warm by the river. The hot tub was perfect in the evening for 3-4 adults.
The rental company, Russian River Escapes, is incredible! They called to check in during our stay and when I told them the coffeemaker wasn't working, they brought a new one.
We spent the weekend making meals in the house, driving to the Monte Rio beach to spend the day floating in the river, checking out all the local bakeries in the surrounding area, and we went out in Guerneville in the evening. There is a lot to do in the area but you definitely need a car. We tried to call a cab one night but never heard back.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back again in the future. "

"Great Stay!
Enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We had a group of 7 with 3 cars, and all fit nicely. The kitchen was small-ish where I would recommend only 1 person trying to cook at a time, but, that was perfect for us! And it was really well stocked with utensils, spices, etc. Great house overall & totally recommend!"

The Little Red House Plus is great. Very modern, clean, and comfortable. Bedrooms are small, but we didn't care about that. Downstairs studio is very nice--as well-appointed as upstairs. Hooray for the hot tub! Everyone in our group said we'd keep this one in mind for a future vacation."

"Amazing house, missing some small things that go a long way
Gorgeous place, friendly mgmt team, wonderful setting.
Hot tub does not seem to work and there was no hot water for showers. Also basic amenities were missing. For price this was disappointing.
WiFi was down often."

"Lovely stay in the Little Red House Plus
We had a wonderful stay at this property. There were 5 of us there to celebrate 2 50th birthdays. The house was nicely appointed, furnishings were tasteful and it felt recently renovated. We enjoyed the relaxing and beautiful redwood surroundings and a morning hot tub. The only surprise was that there were houses a little closer than expected but it was still quiet and very private when in the hot tub. They property managers were very nice and super responsive when I locked the keys inside the house. This was a great find and would highly recommend!"

"Clean, modern, comfortable, and a GREAT outside space!
Loved, loved, loved this little cottage in the woods. Sitting among the redwoods, it felt like we were in the most luxe treehouse.
We found the cottage to be super clean and modern while still retaining the charm of a cottage in the woods.
The kitchen was a dream to cook in. The outside space was wonderful -- loved the deck and large table not to mention the great hammock! We used both the main house and the studio below. The studio was a nice quiet respite -- felt like a little cozy getaway.
This home is close to the coast and wine country, both. The location is perfect for seeing all the sights in the area.
One more note: we ran out of propane for the grill and a quick email to the management company was all that was needed to get a re-fill the next day. Good service on that front, too.
Would rent again and again!"

"Perfect for a weekend getaway with family/friends
5 friends from France and the Bay Area plus one happy dog convened at the LIttle Red House for a getaway weekend and found it to be a pleasant retreat! It was even nicer than it appeared in the photos. The kitchen was gorgeous as well as functional (we enjoyed cooking all our meals!). The bedrooms and the common areas were clean, comfortable and tastefully designed. The outdoor space was especially lovely with the summer sun peaking through the redwood canopy. We took full advantage of the outdoor amenities: BBQ-ing on the gas grill, eating and drinking plenty of wine on the patio dinning table, resting on the hammock and dipping in the hot tub). The location was descent, in a quiet neighborhood a short drive to/from Guerneville and just around the corner from the golf course. We all really enjoyed our stay and recommend The Little Red House full-heartedly!"
