Bring the family and friends, there’s room for everyone in this dream vacation home! Reserve Main Maus and you’ll get the entire house, including five bedrooms with the capacity to sleep 14 guests. There are four bathrooms, two kitchens, and two laundry areas. (Mini Maus, a studio cottage with queen bed, is available in conjunction with or independently from Maus Haus. Check for availability.)
The trendy décor and furnishings throughout Maus Haus are both vintage and funky. Thoughtful touches, such as reading lamps by the beds, make you feel LA MAISON (French for “at home”). Oui!

On the main floor, the master bedroom boasts a king bed so comfy you’ll never want to get up!

Adjacent is the master bathroom with a tub/shower combo and dual shower heads. Next door you’ll find the second bath with a glass-enclosed shower. Plenty of bath linens are available.

The second bedroom has not one, but two comfortable queen beds.

The first-floor kitchen is huge, so gather ‘round! You’ll find all you need for a quick bite or a family meal in this well-appointed space with stainless steel appliances and a dishwasher for easy clean up. The dining table seats eight and the breakfast bar seats three.
After dinner, head into the living room for some real quality time together. Tell stories as you relax by the cozy gas fireplace. Unwind with some hot cocoa (or a hot toddy) after a day on the lake or slopes. Watch a movie on the flat screen TV. Check your email or book your next stay with us on the Wifi.

Did someone pack light? No problem. Toss a load of laundry in the washer and dryer. There’s a set on the first floor.

The second floor of Main Maus has the third and fourth bedrooms, each with a queen bed.

Between the bedrooms you’ll find the bathroom, complete with claw-foot tub, the perfect place to rest and soak your cares away.

The well-appointed second floor kitchen with granite countertops provides all you need to fix a home-cooked meal. There’s room in this open space for the whole crew to pitch in with preparations. A distressed island makes this the perfect spot to serve buffet style. There are six chairs at the dining table, plus wooden benches and two captain’s chairs for more seating. The dishwasher makes clean up a snap.

The second living room invites you to sink into the huge couch and put your feet up and watch TV while enjoying the gas fireplace.

The top floor of Maus Haus is a space the kids will love. They’ll find another gigantic couch and ottoman, with throw pillows galore and board games to play. Rest easy, there four twin beds to keep your dreamers snug through the night. The bathroom on this floor has hexagon tile flooring and a glass-enclosed shower with dual shower heads.

Step outside and admire pristine blue skies. Dine at the large outdoor table after you barbeque (available in non-winter months). Relax in a hammock in the yard or head out and you’ll find many Lake Tahoe activities and sights are right at your doorstep!

Maus is close to Meeks Bay, which has a terrific sandy beach, and Chambers Landing, which also has a nice beach. Sugar Pine Point State Park is close enough to reach via a nice walk or bike ride. You won’t want to miss the icon of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, a short drive away. Emerald Bay State Park boasts 360-degree picturesque views that encompass Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Eagle Falls, and Vikingsholm Castle.

For winter activities, just a few miles down the road you’ll find Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. The Magical West Shore has great options for whatever you fancy: snowshoeing, snowboarding, downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, and more!

To experience all the gambling and nightlife that the Lake Tahoe area offers, South Lake Tahoe/Stateline is about a 30-minute drive.
