The living room has 2 couches and a futon, big screen TV with Roku, Netflix, Prime and local channels. Enough space for the whole family!! Large dining table with seating for 10, bar and coffee station. Seating area and spectacular views of the River. The master bedroom has a king size bed, day bed and a twin size bed. Private attached bathroom with tiled walk in shower. River views from the Master!! The second bedroom has a queen size bed and twin size bunk beds and is conveniently located next to the second bathroom with a shower/tub combo. High quality linens are provided for beds and bathrooms. This cabin does have a washer and dryer as well added may 2022!!
The screened in porch is now fully enclosed with large picture windows and air conditioning, a great place to sip your coffee and enjoy watching the tubers float by. Plenty of seating outdoors with a picnic table, porch swing and lots of chairs to relax in under the big shade trees. Propane grill and smoker. Fire pit to roast smores! Walk down to the floating dock with 70 feet of riverfront access to pull out the canoe and kayaks! Spend the day playing in the crystal clear water of the Guadalupe River. The closest tubing outfitter is Little Ponderosa Outfitters which is just .7 miles away from the cabin. The perfect vacation getaway for the entire family!
Interested in fishing? This is the perfect place for you! The Guadalupe River is stocked with trout starting December 1st! You can fit up to 4-5 vehicles at this property. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. No pets allowed. This home has a maximum occupancy of 10 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $1500. WORD permit #L1364.

"Perfect Place for a Guadalupe River Stay
This property is as beautiful as it looks online. It is clean and spacious. The inside is very attractive. We cooked all our meals and they had everything you would need in the kitchen. We loved the glassed in porch but loved the decks even more. We went with my dauaghter and her family. The grandkids just loved it. We all brought floats and put them in from the floating dock. The ladder was really helpful. My 9 year old granddaughter fished morning and evening and caught 11 fish. She was thrilled! We went to the Little Ponderosa Outfitters to rent tubes and floated on the river. But that was the only time we left the house. We just enjoyed being there so much. The customer service provided good communication and was helpful. I highly recommend this property. The view of the river is gorgeous!"

"Quiet and Relaxing
Beautiful home at the end of private road. Right on the river. Beautiful peaceful and quiet. Home was spacious and comfortable. Close enough to other areas. Spent a day in Gruene - fantastic! And downtown New Braunfels has the biggest antique shop I have ever been to! This place was the perfect get away. Only negatives were king bed was uncomfortable. Positives- New Braunfels Escapes was great to work with. "

"Fun, peaceful, restful retreat
We had a week of great fun. It was restful and quiet. The house itself was perfect for our family. We visited Schlitterbahn, and went tubing on the river with a local tubing company. And we also put the kayaks at the house to work every single day. We had a cookout on the barbeque outside. It was just a perfect retreat for our family. Can't thank the owners and management company enough."

"Texas Winter on the Guadalupe
My husband and I needed to be in the area for a number of months to help with family and were very glad to find such a nice place on the river. We were very comfortable and had any and everything we needed. If anything came up all we had to do was call. Everyone we dealt with in the office were wonderful and everything was dealt with in a timely manner . We enjoyed our stay very much and never got tired of the wonderful view of the river just out the windows. We saw an abundance of wildlife— foxes, woodducks, deer and even a porcupine. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Fair Quality for the Price
Clean property, have stayed at other properties that advertised basic cookware would be in the kitchen and had much better experiences elsewhere. Probably best to just not advertise anything is in the kitchen at all and all guests bring their own items. Otherwise pretty classic labels all over the house about what not to touch/move/use and the fines associated, chore list on checkout day, etc. don’t bring white trash bags because black trash bags are only allowed for some reason, that made it a bit difficult to try and get all the trash in the 2 bags provided simply because white trash bags aren’t allowed and wasn’t advertised and that’s what we brought."

"Even better than expected
I give this place 5 stars rating for sure. The instructions to gain access to the property and what to do and what not to do were simple and fair. The house was clean and loaded with amenities to relax and make your stay as enjoyable as it can be. The living room has a really nice TV that allowed us to enjoy Game 6 of the World Series (Astros won of course). The grill outside is small but a powerful one. The kayaks are in good shape and my girls enjoyed them too. We would most definitely come back to this property in the future. "

The trees, shade and location made this an exceptional visual paradise. Pictures don't do just to the magnificent trees. The floating dock is genius vs other stationary docks, especially with the river flow level so low. The house is positioned perfectly so you can enjoy the a large wide portion of the river no matter the water level. The floating dock always keeps you at water level.
The bedroom configurations can't be helped. We actually had 4 couples, no kids. Certainly wasn't a show stopper. The house is nice, I think you should go to a "No Shoes" policy. Rocks in the soles of shoes from the "yard" is going to scratch those floors unnecessarily. The rental in Colorado had a no shoe rule and a camera at the front door. The air compressor was nice touch.
Please pass on to the owner we are retired Air Force. Was fortunate to be stationed at Ramstein AB February 200 - July 2007. We traveled, then traveled more when family came over. We've got a few of the same photos in our massive "Germany" folder on my PC as you got about the cabin. Thank You for your service. "

"Great stay for float trip with friends
Place was clean and very useful for what our group wanted. We wanted access to riverfront and fun outdoor stuff. This place came with both and bonus corn hole and kayaks for your use. Little ponderosa even came picked us up floated down then got off on our dock. They came back later to pick tubes. Super easy! Only down side we found with no basic salt and pepper for cooking and if you have all adults hard to fit full 10 since people can not sleep together and have to share rooms. It would be better with 6-8 people or a few kids so the kids can have there own room. In all this did not take away from the experience since we were all so tired after being in sun all day. "

The Ponderosa Cabin was just what we needed. It had everything we needed and was located in a nice quiet location with deeper water. The cabin, backyard and dock were great. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Had a great time and wish I had rented it for a longer stay. Only thing lacking was a TV I’m the bedrooms but minor in comparison to what it did provide."

"End of Summer
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was at an ideal location and had deep water although the river was moving slow. The kayaks and swim dock were were well used. There wasn't a blender in the cabin, but all it took was a phone call to the property management and a new one was delivered. Definitely want to return, we had a wonderful time."

"Beautiful view of the river
Excellent location! The house is very quaint. The outdoor area is perfect for grilling, bonfires and watching the tubers float pass. This section of the river is deep so you will need to have floats to sit out and enjoy the water as there is no place to put your chairs in the water due to the depth.
A few things to consider when renting this house. Its a very old house so the walls are very thin and EVERYTHING can be heard. A few things that we felt should come with a rental home would be a radio, hairdryer and cleaning products / trash bags, however, those things were not included. Also note that there is another rental house right next door who you will share a driveway with. You never know who might be staying there....we ended up with a Bachelor Party of 12+ which made for loud and unwanted company. "

"New B River Trip
My group of 10 had a great time. Fun location up river, away from the main drop in spots. Still plenty of ppl to hang with from the campgrounds across the way, and neighbors you share the private drive with. The property had their own tubes so we didn’t have to go rent any, we floated right next to the swim dock the whole time. Comfortably slept all 10 of us. There wasn’t a washer and dryer so bring extra towels. Overall my group had a great time. "

" A Wonderful get away spot!!!
The house was spacious and clean in a great location. Jump in at the dock and float to where you want off at ( leave a vehicle to bring you back if you have your own floats some may charge you $3 a person to get out). The yard is beautiful and relaxing. When raining , no fear use the awesome screened in porch. "
