The cabin has a wall of windows for those quiet, peaceful, chilly nights so you can relax and gaze at the stars from the comfort of the living room and a warm fire. The homeowners have thought of everything in this beautiful retreat. The hot tub is privately situated in the lower deck and we know you will find it soothing and inviting after a long day of shopping and adventure. Next to the hot tub, there is a table with plenty chairs for table games. Family nights on the water, in the front yard or in the hot tub area are all great ways to create wonderful memories while melting the stress away. My family have been vacationing for many years including staying in Helen,Ga. when we arrived at our cabin. The porch leading into the main floor had rotten boards so much we almost fell through. Upon entering we discovered that the cabin had not been thoroughly cleaned as there was dirt in the floor. There were spider webs in all the windows as well as filthy. The TV had a smudge across the face of it like someone had eaten a candy bar and wiped there hands off on the tv. There were coffee grounds left in the coffee maker. Both garbage cans were left full from the previous rentals. Upon trying to leave the next day the drive had a huge wash out and was covered in leaves and it caused our family member to slide off the embankment and have to get towed out. I called Enchanted Mountain folks and they spoke to me very rude and accused my character that I was trying to get a free stay when I had already paid for the rental. I was trying to share our concerns but was treated very unprofessional. I asked if there was another facility and was told I could get a full refund and to get out immediately. I said we had no where to go so we stayed and made the best of our weekend birthday getaway for our fathers 70th birthday. We will return to Helen but will never stay with this company and will advise EVERYONE to do the same!!" You need an SUV with 4WD, AWD or RWD. We drove an SUV with FWD and had to put it in reverse to back up the drive on the morning we left because it was wet. If PM says you can park at the top or in front of the shed? She's misleading you. Two guests are veterans, all are patriotic. We were upset by the torn and faded flag flying on the patio which ended up on the ground before we left because the rusted pole broke. We had lots of communication issues which is why we chose not to contact the PM during our stay. A couple safety issues-of 12 outside flood light, two worked. We moved bulbs around to have light for safety issues. There was also a rotting board on the patio. Both WIFI SSID and password listed in the guest book were incorrect. We found the info needed on the side of the router. Considering we are in a pandemic, the cleanliness was subpar at best. The housekeepers left a welcome card with a 'tips appreciated' comment. The windows were covered with cobwebs, the washing machine is permanently stained from mold on the seal, and the fireplace smelled just to name a few. Pots and pans need replaced. Friends bought new pans and took them home-that's how much we didn't want to use the pans. Property advertises a fire ring that is non-existent. You're way overcharging for this property IMO. We have stayed at similar properties with many more amenities, not to mention cleaner, and were welcomed with fruit baskets or a bottle of wine. Instead, we received a card asking for tips. The reply to this negative review will be defensive, as they all are on any negative comments left. Thats ok. We won't be returning or using VRBO anytime soon. Our sole purpose in leaving this review is to make others aware. Hoping the owners read it too because their property is being neglected.
