"Marc & Leanne,
My expectations have been blown out of the water. Your web site does no justice as to how nice this home is (it is a house, not a cabin). You provided us with more than ample furnishings, all we brought was clothing , food and drink. Thank you so much for making our 20th Annual DEAPend Weekend a success. Eagles Peak is not doubt the most beautiful cabin to rent in this area among others. You have already been recommended and we will all continue telling our tales of Watauga Lake 2006. My best to the both of you while away in England.

"08/01/06 Positive Our families stay at your cabin was wonderful! We took our 3 children that range in age from 10 months to 7 years and they now have memories that will last a lifetime. When we arrived the cabin was extrememly clean. Renting a place based on pictures on the internet always scared me but your pictures do not do your cabin justice. We enjoyed canoeing with our kids and spending quality time with the family on the wrap around porch. I don't see why you ever used a property manager because your customer service skills along with your parents are unmatchable. We look forward to renting from you again! Thanks for everything!!!!

"Positive. July 7, 2006: Our stay at the Eagles Peak was fantastic. We enjoyed the view of the lake and the house was spacious. The surrounding communities were very nice and there is plenty to do there in the area. The owners are very easy to work with. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

"Eagles Peak is a very beautiful place in a nice quite area with plenty to do. We had used the cottage for going to the race in Bristol, and it sure beat the noise around the track area. So if you are up for the excitement of the races and some R&R Eagles Peak is the place to be. I would like to send our thanks for having the opportunity to stay at Eagles Peak.

"We enjoyed our stay at Eagles Peak. It's quiet, and the view is just breath taking. This was a family vacation. My husband and I had been to Tennessee before and stayed in the mountains, but my brother and mom, never! They were so scared. It was extremely dark. And on top of that, my brother who was already scared of hights and driving up and down the mountains in the dark, had a deer jump infront and hit his suburban. He can laugh about it now and ofcourse changes the story around for his friends, but he sure wasn't laughing then. He says he had a great experience and would do it all over again! The kids had a great time on the canoes and we rented a boat. The water was great! And the accomadations. We felt right at home. The cabin had everything you can imagine. And I love photography, so I had an amazing time with my camera as well. Our naighbors were real nice, and we found that some that lived or were vacationing were from Florida as well. I would definately recommend Eagle's Peak"

Our resent trip to your cabin Sept 24 was one of the most pleasant vacations ever. Having coffee out on the deck in the morning watching the sun come up over the hills was a great jump start for the day. The cabin was stocked better than any we have been to or read about. Very clean and well taken care of. Thank you for the opportunity to relax.

"I vacationed here alone but never for a moment felt alone. This place was fantastic and Marcs family was a great help to me during my visit. These people just don't get your money and run. They are helpful with everything and anything throughout your stay. Thanks Marc and family!!!!

"We stayed at Eagle's Peak three nights during the Spring Bristol Race with our two teenage sons and our family dog "Ace" who accompanies us on all of our family vacations. Finding decent "pet friendly" accomodations can be challenging. Finding decent accomodations near Bristol at a reasonable price can be challenging in itself, and Marc & Leann don't raise the price like many places do. (In fact we stayed at off peak season rates!) Bristol is about an hour drive away.
Marc & Leann were wonderful hosts! Marc personally called us from England (they are home now) when we made the reservations, and during our stay, to make sure everything met our expectations, and to see if anything was needed. (Marc's father lives in a nearby town, and made sure the spa was at the temperature we requested!)

"Eagle's Peak was most accomadating, and offered many items travelers typically forget or don't plan (coffees, spices, beach towels, extra blankets, laundry soap, shampoo, toiletries, etc. They provided area tourist info, as well as directions to the nearest grocery, etc.
The home was clean, roomy and welcoming. We spent one entire day at the cabin, on the deck, in the spa, and cooked on the gas grill everyday. Wished we had more time to stay longer!
Quiet neighborhood right off the lake. Great scenery and at night you could hear the fish jump in the lake. Great for R&R. Would love to return in the summer to enjoy the lake and canoes provided.
Will we return to Eagles's Peak? You bet!

" We have stayed at Lake Wautagua several times in the past at other rental properties. Eagles Peak is by far the most comfortable, spacious and clean. Marc and Leeanne, our hat's off to you...from beginning to end, you went out of your way to be sure our visit was the best and it was!
We spent an entire week fishing, boating, swimming and relaxing. The weather was absolutely beautiful, along with the views and the small bluebirds who visited the home daily.
We had a great time and look forward to our next stay.

07/30/07 Positive Eagles Peek was an AWESOME 2 week vacation for my family! We enjoyed every aspect of the cabin and the area. We would spend our days playing in the lake with the canoe or swimming and fishing. At night we would enjoy the hot tub and cook on the grill. It was quite and relaxing. The scenery was beautiful we seen lots of deer and birds. Folks were friendly and warm. I can't imagine having a more perfect vaation spot. Marc and Leann were perfect host making sure all was well during our stay. They even Fed-ex some "left behind" items back to us! I rate this vacation ****.

08/05/07 Positive What a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The cabin was exceptionally equiped. We found it very convenient and childproofed for our 11 month old grandson. We spent much time in the canoes and landed a very nice size bass from the dock. The myriad types and numbers of birds kept us searching our bird books to identify the exact species. We even had a hummingbird that visited daily. Enjoyed nice hikes in the nearby forest and relaxed in the hot tub. This part of the lake was a little quieter than others and we really appreciated that. We intend to return in 2008.

"12/31/07 Positive Leann and Marc,
What to say is not an issue. It's how to say it.
You two made our stay in Tennessee the best it could have ever been. Your cabin is as well kept, or better, than any five star hotel with a hundred times the fringe benefits of being closer to town.
There is nothing like getting up in the morning, looking out the window and seeing the lake below, the hills in the backgroung and have the peace and quiet the cabin offers being located where it is. You have a beautiful location and go the extra step to ensure the stay will be the best as it can be.
We appreciate your effort and will be back for a second, or more, experience.
I hope to get a fishing party together soon so keep me informed on the lake level and we will be back for more. We will be in need of your boat again so keep it running for us.
Thanks again for every thing and we will be talking to ya soon :):)

We stayed at Eagles Peak in January and were very pleased with the cabin. It was very comfortable and inviting. We cooked in alot and were pleased to find that the cabin was very well stocked with everything we needed for preparing and serving meals. The hot tub is terrific! Like a small swimming pool. We enjoyed that nightly. The view from the cabin is beautiful even thought the lake levels are down right now. I'd definitely recommend this cabin to others."

" The Guests below were actually at Eagles Peak March 14-17 for Spring NASCAR RACE.
What a great place to relax! We decided to stay here for the Spring Race at Bristol and were more than pleased. I would HIGHLY recommend this place and already have, to others. It would also be a great place for family/ friend reunions. Loved the atmosphere and location. Someday we will return."

"We spent our vacation at Marc and Leann's cabin Oct. 18-24 and could not have been happier with the accomodations and Marc's and Leann's hospitality. They have truly made Eagles Peak Cabin feel like a home away from home. The location is beautiful. The ammenities are wonderful. My wife adn I were both able to relax and just soak in the natural beauty of Watauga Lake in the autumn. We used the cabin as a romantic getaway for part of the vacation and to entertain my family members who live in Elizabethton part of the time. It was perfect for both uses.
When we got a look at other cabins in the area that were renting for the same price or more, we knew we had made the best choice. We would not hesitate to plan another vacation at Eagles Peak or to recommend it to our friends. Whether you are planning a family vacation with the kids, a second honeymoon with your spouse, or just a fishing trip with your buddies, Eagles Peak is a fantastic choice.
