"Had a GREAT time on the island. Was there the 5 days after labor day and it was very peaceful. The house was very clean with everything you need. We rented the boat. It stalled a few times but would not have done the trip without it. I fished all day and my wife read on the beach. By the way we have recreated the beach in our back yard. If you want a unique get away this is it. We will probably come back next year. Thanks Todd and Krista for a wonderful time."
Oct 19, 2013 - Jeff Caldwell "We just had our first visit to treehouse island.
It was great, the cabin was amazing. We did not cath a lot of fish but it was nice just being on the island. Beach area was great, campfires at night. We felt like we was at home. Hope to come back next year with our two sons and there wifes and stay for a week. Thanks for inviting us into your home.
September 17th thru 20th 2013"
Sep 24, 2013 - Rhonda and Kim Bradley "8/17-8/23/2013. We had a great time! The weather was beautiful and the fishing was super! The house was very clean, comfortable, and decorated so neat. We enjoyed the little beach and the swim platform. Love that Todd and Krista's lake homes are pet friendly, that means a lot to us. The worse part of the week was that we had to leave, that was depressing!! Would totally recommend this lake house to anyone wanting a relaxing, comfortable lake vacation.
Sep 22, 2013 - Becky Ross "We had a wonderful time. Peaceful, fun, and unique. Thanks for allowing us to bring our dogs. They had a great time. Best part was the bonfires on the sandy beach. The house has everything you need. No luck with catching any Muskies this time, but we will be back to try again. Thanks again for sharing your home with us. We will be back!"
Jun 08, 2013 - Fatima & Michael Catena " This was our second stay at Tree House Island and we enjoyed it even more than the first. We will be back!
It is such a beautiful little house and the peace and quiet just makes the soul happy. We especially appreciate that we can bring our dog. He loves the boat rides around the lake!
Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven!

Oct 05, 2012 - Kay & Terry Thompson "My husband and I stayed at the Island in September and we had a fun relaxing time. The Island is well maintained and the cottage is like your own home. The Vanattas kept us well informed on what we would need, where we needed to go and where everything was located. Great time! We definatly want to return. Watch out for the acorns! "
Oct 04, 2012 - Gina Haynes "We stayed for our second time at Treehouse Island at the beginning of August. Just another fabulous time! Weather was awesome! Caught a few bass but no muskie :( maybe next time if we are lucky enough to come back! Thank you for sharing your home with us, again. Oh by the way loved the new chairs by the fire pit, very comfortable and loved the new pier! Hope to come back soon."
Sep 12, 2012 - Jill Kocovsky "This place is unique, comfortable and relaxing. Our parents joined us for the week and absolutely loved it. Our 7 and 8 year old daughters learned to water ski and kneeboard during our stay. The water was very calm and there were many times when we had the lake to ourselves so that really helped our girls. The views from the island are really cool and vary from one side to the other. It was very well equipped and clean. Thank you for a wonderful week!"
Aug 27, 2012 - Dale Dennis "Second Time Around..Just as Good as the First!!! Treehouse Island is an amazing place to settle in for a relaxing vacation. Lots of wildlife to see and there are beautiful bog gardens all around the island. Todd and Krista have a beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay just as much as we did back in 2009. The house is very well equipped and comfortable, and the outdoor space is perfect!!!! "
Aug 22, 2012 - Terri Lantz "We stayed at Treehouse Island 4/4-4/7/12. The house, lake and beach area were great. It was myself, my boyfriend, my 13 year old son, and our pooch! I loved that we could bring the dog with us and it was even better that we didn't have to chain her up because we were on an island. We did a lot of fishing but not a lot of catching. The lake is very pretty but is also weedy and made it a little difficult to fish in the shallower parts. Other than that it was great!!! I would definetly recommend it and we are already making plans to return. Thanks Todd and Krista! "
Jun 13, 2012 - Beth "Treehouse is the best! It has everything you could want. The owners have done a great job.....cozy, everything you need. View is incredible. Boat is very nice......comfortable, nothing negative. If you are looking at other places, look no further. We want to come back this summer but I don't think we can get a booking!
Kris and Todd respond quickly to emails. You can tell Treehouse has been nurtured with love and care."
Apr 21, 2012 - kim zimmerman "Our family had a great time at Treehouse Island. Very cozy and well decorated cabin. The Vanatta's were great to work with and left no detail about the rental unsaid. We will definitely return and recommend to friends."
Nov 16, 2011 - Ryan Schwartz "This was our 2nd year to visit Tree House Island.
Had a great time. Love the new boat. House was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. Loved the paddle boat. Caught fish from the bank and a turtle or two. When your inside the house it is almost like being on a house boat with a yard. Awsome!"
Sep 12, 2011 - sandie williams "Our family, along with a couple of our children’s friends, stayed at the Treehouse Island at the end of June. It was a great setting! The home was spacious and updated and the seven of us (and 2 golden retrievers) had plenty of room to rest, relax, and have fun. The beach and fire pit are excellent, especially lounging in the hammock under the trees during the afternoons. Fishing was a lot like work due to the lake’s weed bottom, lily pads, and shallow shorelines, but we managed to catch a good share of largemouth bass and blue gill each day during the week. For the bigger largemouth bass, you must be up early to work the lily pads and shoreline with top baits, down a little deeper off the points late morning, and back again in the shallows around sundown. Did not see any muskie caught on the lake all week but there are some beautiful trophy fish displayed inside the home. The pontoon was perfect for getting our fishing squad around the lake with plenty of room."
Jul 21, 2011 - The Pauleys "Treehouse Island comments: We were able to send a few days on Tree House Island in April. The 2 Dads and our 2 boys. We had a great time on the island and the pontoon was a nice asset to have to view the entire lake. We must confess that not a fish was caught, due to our timing and large amounts of rain prior to our arrival. The house was roomy and confortable. We would like to retreat with our friends sometime soon on Tree House island. Thank you for the opportunity for us to visit!

Jun 13, 2011 - Ron Sudman "I am so glad we found Tree House Island.
Had the best vacation ever. Loved it just being my family and not having to deal with neighbors. we had it all to our selfs.
The house is just as cute as it can be, everything there you need. Very clean beautiful view.
Loved that there were toys for the kids kayak boats , peddle boats and we loved having the use of the pontoon boat , it was so much fun and everything we hoped it would be I would suggest this place very highly to someone .
The owner Krista was a pleasure to work with .
Thank you for a dream vaction with my family"
Sep 20, 2010 - Debbie Jones & Family "Our Family stayed at Treehouse Island for the 1st time this summer and absolutely had a wonderful time. It is very updated, loved the Granite counter tops and plenty of room to feel very comfortable. Our 1st Grandbaby had her 1st experience in the lake here (4 months old). The other two little ones (little boys) had a blast playing in the sand and swimming. It's a wonderful place for families to spend time together. The master bedroom is fantastic. The other two rooms were tight for a baby and all the stuff that goes with a baby. That would be the only problem we may have in the future. To be able to afford it, we need to have at least 3 families going into it, so not sure if they will be able to again with the little ones. We loved having the boat to go sightseeing in. We just absolutely had a blast. The Vanatta's were very pleasant to work with and we could tell they really care about their renters being comfortable.
Thanks again for sharing your lake home with us!"
Aug 05, 2010 - Cathy Smiley "Great house, great views and nice area. We really enjoyed our stay. Was nice having the pontoon to tool around. Caught some nice fish. Fire pit was our favorite spot each evening."
Jul 06, 2010 - Sherry Talbert "My husband and I rented this awesome cabin in August of 2009. My three boys also accompanied us for part of the week and they absolutely loved it.
The weather was perfect except for one rainy day and the pontoon boat did quit on us, but no sooner had I contacted Todd, than a couple minutes later about 5 or 6 friends of his came to fix it. We were up and running in minutes.
Todd and Krista were a joy to rent from and very helpful. The place is an absolutely perfect get away.
The day before we had to check out, my husband and I were sad that we had to leave. This was one vacation where we did not have that "can't wait to get home attitude".
There is nothing negative we could say about this place. It was very clean and well kept and with all the extras like the pontoon boat, canoes, paddle boat, etc. you could not ask for more.
My oldest son has already informed me that if we don't rent this again this coming summer, he will.
Thanks again, Donna & Jim Berning"
Jan 15, 2010 - Donna Berning "We had a wonderful time at the lake. The "Treehouse" was a suprise, felt more like a houseboat, every window a view of water. Wake up in the Master Bdr with the swans just outside. Much better than the ad shows. Cozy, warm, &private.....and the pontoon boat, was great!
Oct 16, 2009 - The Thompson's "Imagine vacationing on an island where you are the only house and the views are incredible in every direction!!!! That is what you'll experience at Todd and Krista's Treehouse Island. Cruise on the pontoon around the lake, sit on the beach and watch the boats, enjoy the deck and fabulous sunsets over the bog gardens, waive to everyone on the Dixie as it passes by the island, watch the wildlife (we enjoyed watching a family of swans carrying their babies early in the week and then letting them swim along side them toward the end of our stay), enjoy the beautifully decorated home that Todd and Krista allow you to enjoy......just can't say enough....it was truly the best vacation my husband, dogs and myself have ever had. "
Aug 11, 2009 - Terri Lantz "Beautiful home, with a great view, especially in the master bedroom. We enjoyed the lake, the fishing wasn't the best, but both girls caught a muskie 26" & 36". Weather was beautiful and nightly campfires were a relaxing end to a long day of fishing. Can't wait to plan another visit. "
Sep 23, 2008 - Colleen & Leonard Polacek "AMAZING!! This cottage deserves a better word than that but that is the best I can come up with. From the minute we stepped onto the island we were in love and very relaxed. Todd and Krista have done an outstanding job with this home. You see water from every room that you are in. You feel like you are on a cruise ship. The island was fully equipped with anything and everything that you would need. The pictures on the website just do not do it justice. The place is AMAZING!! We enjoyed our time so much that we are already thinking about next year. Todd and Krista were excellent to work with and were very caring about making sure our stay was 100% perfect. Fishing was perfect. Lots of fish were caught and released back but a few were kept and cleaned on the nice industrial kitchen sink cleaning station on the island which was a great feature. I just can't say enough about this place. You will be thrilled with it if you choose to stay! You can't go wrong!"
Sep 10, 2008 - Tammy Holt "Looks like we missed the fish by a week. It really does not matter when staying at the island house. We caught a ton of Blue gill right off the island. This place is incredible, you guys have done a great job. We will be back for sure."
