It was a lot nicer than we had expected." Memorial Day weekend 2009 "I want to thank you for renting the cabin this weekend. I am a big supporter of customer reviews and would like to let you know how our weekend went. We arrived around 7:30 on Friday Night, a little later than what we expected but we had to stop at the Wal-mart. The directions were very detailed and we never had a problem all weekend long trying to find other destinations. It was a hard drive to make in the dark but we did without any problems. There were a total of three separate drivers and we all made it. The cabin was all alone at the top of the hill just as you described. We were amazed by the space and beauty of the cabin as well as its surroundings. I must say the first thing we did was fight over the king beds! We quickly unloaded and got right to making the fire. We used a lot of the firewood provided. I hope that is okay, but there is just something heavenly about being outside by the lake with no clouds and 60 degree weather. It was perfect and we had already planned on living off of bratwursts and hot dogs for the weekend. I would also like to compliment the speaker system. We had country playing loud all weekend and truly sang the songs as most were true to our experiences this weekend. Only disappointment was that we brought the jet ski in hopes to ride it and keep it close to the cabin. The water was a little far and we did not have a map nor the knowledge to get back from the marina. But we took it over to ponderosa marina and rode it there and spent time on the dock taking turns and soaking up the sun. You have a wonderful cabin and location. We loved how we were the only ones anywhere around. I must say that I would highly recommend the location to anyone looking for a weekend getaway and I do believe we will come back soon.
