"Falling Apart
We have stayed in this apartment 3 times and each time it got worse. Dirty kitchen drawers, broken bathroom locks, broken doorbell, peeling paint, filthy pots and pans (although these were replaced for us when we complained). Even the broom was broken. Myrtle Beach Vacation Rentals did everything they could to help us. They were very accommodating. However, the owner needs to update and maintain this apartment properly."

"Bad overall customer service.
If you can avoid renting a condo through this so! I initally booked my stay for a certain set of beds only to find out 2 days before my stay that my original condo was no longer available. They swapped us into a smaller unit with twin beds for my family. Had to argue with the company to get something similar to what I had purchased. Left the unit in its same condition and the company charged 150 to my credit card without calling me or sending me a receipt of what it was for. All around, poor customer service from this company. I personally, will never book with them again. For the same price I paid to them, we would have had a better experience in a hotel. "

Our unit was wonderful, we stayed there a few years ago, the owner did a great job redecorating, lovely, clean. One detail, the owners needs to throw whatever dishes and pots that are there, a simple set of dinnerware and a simple set of pots are needed. Other then that, no complaints, many thanks for a pleasant stay"

We love Kingston and have stayed at the Brighton for over ten years. This is our second year in unit 910 and we loved it. The balcony construction was noisy on two days but we just went to the beach and got away from the noise. "

"Buyer Beware!
No one at any time told us that the pool would be closed and the balconies would be locked closed for the entire week we were there. I called the property managers and left multiple messages with "other management" that I was transferred to, but I never even got a return phone call. The property manager told me that when I rented from VRBO, that it was stated in the description, however, I have a copy of it and it was not. I'm extremely disappointed with the way this was handled and was not even forewarned. Had I'd known, we would have rented a different condo. I won't rent from here ever again and won't recommend either. "

"Thanksgiving Get Away
This property was not a disappointment. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The property management did a great job; plenty of towels and linens. The kitchen area had everything needed to prepare meals if staying in. We would rent this property again. It is very close to all the attractions and we can't say enough about Kingston Plantation. "

"An excellent choice!
After reserving a hotel room to attend a wedding, we decided to instead rent this condo to share with family members. Our first reaction upon checking in was "wow!" The unit was huge and featured three balconies providing a variety of views. Our party of six had plenty of room, and it was clear that the advertised capacity of nine would be comfortable here. The beach was beautiful and the location was quiet and convenient. There were a couple of minor maintenance and housekeeping glitches, but nothing to detract from the overall experience. The management company was very efficient and easy to deal with."

"Pro's & Con's
Great views of/easy access to ocean/beach. Great location. Lots of room. Furniture in main room especially is tired/stained from suntan oil/should be replaced. Cleaning crew needs better training. I had to clean the mildew off the master bath shower. Extreme mildew 3 tiles up the wall. Took me a whole 5 min and a bottle of mildew remover. Had to do some more removal in 3rd bath after mentioned by guest. Had to clean a/c intake grate in hallway. Extremely dirty/not just dusty. Why didn't I call and complain? Because had read previous comments about unit from 6 months ago, and if they couldn't take care of master bath mold in that time, I had no patience and confidence that they would do it quickly/well. Not worth the $120 cleaning fee. The previous guests must have had pancakes, because there was pancake batter dripping down the side of the mixing bowl that had supposedly been washed and was in the cabinet. Doesn't anybody check these units after they've been supposedly cleaned? So, location/view/building access/parking--10. Furnishings etc--5. Overall cleanliness--4. We 3 old golfers will be looking for a different place next year, but would stay there in a pinch. "

"Family Vacation
We had a great time -- again -- and love this property! It's clean, well stocked, and has great access to the beach. The only suggestion I would have for the rental company is to have coded door locks for the properties. It's much more convenient and there's no worry about losing or forgetting a key."

"Myrtle Beach 2015
While we we stayed in a lovely condo we did have some problems. The unit we had reserved was cancelled on us our day of arrival-the company left a message on our home phone (since we were flying in from California-that didn't work). They finally used my cell phone and caught us as we were pulling into Mrytle Beach. The company offered us the only unit available which had the number of rooms requested but not the king sized bed or we could have a refund. It was labor day weekend-what was our option? So, one of the couples ended up in the kids room on separate (double) beds. Oh well. The check in folks were very nice but failed to give us the check in supplies and we had to go back the next morning for them. After checkout we were charged not once but twice in error for extra fees on the replacement condo. I had to call twice and a very nice person promised to fix it. After two tries he did. All that to say-the condo and facility was very nice and the view and proximity to the ocean wonderful-we would stay again. We just understand not to expect everything to necessarily go as expected-but that's life isn't it:)."

Had a great time. The condo was in good condition. Some of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty and the living room furniture a little uncomfortable. Would have liked to have been able to use the Splash park for my 5 year old. Other than that, we had a great time."

"Huge Condo--- Great condo for larger families!
Our immediate reaction when walking into the condo was 'wow--this place is huge'! We were only a family of 4 so this was great to not feel totally on top of one another all week. We have stayed at beach condos several times and for the cost this was spacious compared to others. There was no DVD player in the Living Room and since we got some rain we were looking for one. No one plays VCR movies anymore :). We did find one in the bedroom but not the family area.
The only issue with the condo was a broken ice maker on the door and the cleaning crew took a lot longer than we expected to have the keys ready that first day. When we arrived to the room the linens were in bags on the bed for us to make our own beds. We wondered what took them so long. We also are used to most condos providing a stater roll of toilet paper and other start up items until you get to the store. That was not the case.
We looked up Kingston Plantation and we booked there because of the listed activity schedule of family events. Each time we went to these, they were canceled. That was a little disappointing. The music and activity at the Embassy Pool was good. We also were expecting wrist bands to access other pools and other renters seemed to have these but we did not. No one seemed to check for wrist bands so we went whereever we chose to.
The beach was busy but not overally crowded. The life guards on the beach seemed to be exceptionally attentive which was great too.
Apache Pier nearby is great-- you can sit on your condo patio and listen to the music every night or take a short walk to the band, arcade and restaurant.
Very good experience overall!"

The condo itself was very clean and roomy but a bit outdated (had too many trinkets and knick knacks). The location was great with convenient access to a grocery store, the beach, and a pier within walking distance that had live music every night (and was kid friendly). The only downside was we were not able to use any other pool except for the one that was located at our particular condo. We had 10 people (6 adults and 4 kids) and there was plenty of room for us. Would recommend this condo. "

We were satisfied with our stay at Brighton 910. The place was very convinient and spacious.The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the furnitures need to be upgraded. The sleeper bed was very uncomfortable.the bathroom would be better if it was not carpeted.
Overall we were happy with our stay....we'd recommend it ..."

"Back To Myrtle
This was my first time back to Myrtle Beach since 1986! I'm so happy we chose to stay at Kingston Plantation. The property was well kept and the location of Brighton was perfect for our family.
Suggestions for Brighton- there is a foul smell in the lobby, particularly the area between the bathrooms, stairs and parking exit.
Someone was doing construction on the 9th floor- EVERY DAY OF OUR STAY! They started at 8 am every morning and their saw was on the balcony, so every morning while trying to enjoy the peacefulness of the ocean, we were disturbed by the constant sound of the table saw.
Bigger beds would have been nice. The rooms are big enough, it would have been nice to have a king and a single in the third bedroom instead of two fulls.
Fluffier pillows, the pillows were definitely old, flat and hard.
The space at 910 Brighton has a lot of potential, it just needs a few updates.
Wireless router didn't work the whole week."

I was very pleased with the condo I resided in for seven days. I truly adored the views from all the balconies. The condo was very clean and I enjoyed looking at all the decorations, which really made you feel like you were part of the various sea activities that one can enjoy. There were a few minor problems pertaining to the internet and the microwave, but they were expeditiously addressed by the property management and the rental company. I would highly recommend Brighton Towers #910-Kingston Plantation to others who plan to stay on this property. "

"Stay at Brighton with water & sewage problems
If water is returned to unit as well as sewage problem taken care of it would have been a find weeks stay. The only exception other than that is children & Adults can't use Splash Park."
