I am sad to announce that High Cotton was struck by a tornado on the evening of April 5, 2022, and the entire roof of the large screen porch was ripped off and deposited in a neighbors driveway 300 feet away. The house sustained minimum damage and no persons were in the house at the time. So High Cotton is not available for rentals until all repair work is complete. When High Cotton is available for rentals again, you will be notified here. High Cotton is also up for sale for $800k. If you have any interest please contact the owner through this website. Thanks

BOOKING CALENDAR was updated at 12 noon on Wed.., Oct 20, 2021. On the Booking Calendar, Green colors mean the days are open. Yellow colors mean dates are requested but no deposit has been received. Red colors mean days are booked and deposits received. Please feel free to inquire about Yellow days because deposits have not been received. WINTER WEEKEND SPECIAL for Jan & Feb is $500 for Thur - Sun. WINTER WEEK SPECIAL is $1300 SPRING 3-DAY WEEKEND SPECIAL for March, April and May is $600. Thursday - Sunday SPRING SPECIAL WEEK RENTAL is $1500 SUMMER WEEKLY RENT for June, July and August is $1800. Weekends are not booked during the summer months except possibly after Aug 15. FALL 3-DAY WEEKEND SPECIAL for Sept, Oct. and Nov. is $600 for Thursday - Sunday. FALL WEEKLY RENTAL SPECIAL is $1500. WINTER 3-DAY WEEKEND SPECIAL for Dec, Jan Feb. is $500. WINTER WEEK SPECIAL is $1300 THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS and NEW YEARS RATES ARE GIVEN BELOW.- The lake house will be decorated for a 60's Christmas. THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS and NEW YEARS WEEK rent for $1600 or $228/day for a shorter time. The current SPRING WEEKLY SPECIAL rental rate is listed in the Price Box below. The lake house is booked by the week ONLY from June 1 to August 15th and booked by the week or weekend from August 15 until the end of May. The regular 2021 weekly rates for Spring, Summer and Fall are given below.. To book High Cotton, CALL, TEXT or email, and mail registration forms and half the weekend or week rate as a deposit to hold your vacation dates. The other half is due two weeks before your vacation dates. There is no internet service available at High Cotton so please use the Hotspot on your smart phone to connect to the internet. Verizon service is great in the lake area. Low Cotton (the lake house directly across the street from High Cotton) is currently for sale and will not be rented in 2021. Day long Family Reunions and Large Parties - If you have 10 or more persons who are not your family vacationers living in the houses, you will need to pay the $170 Party Fee. I will also furnish six, 3x6 ft white tables for the party. See Reservation Forms . HIGH COTTON - is a large 60s style 4BR, 2BA waterfront vacation home which sleeps 15 (including one on sofa bed in family room). In 2013, High Cotton received a $45,000 renovation and now has a new metal roof, newly painted kitchen, new window treatments, two new bathrooms and four newly decorated bedrooms. In 2016, a new $16,000 High Efficiency Carrier 4 ton Heat & Air System with all new duct work was added The lake house is located on big water (2 miles across) and faces south-west for great breezes and beautiful sunsets. The lakehouse is located on 1.8 acres and the property is 50% shaded. The lakehouse is located on the north side of Lake Marion and 2 miles toward the dam from Exit #102 on I-95.. The lakehouse has central heating & A/C, washer/dryer, 15x70 front screened porch, 30x35 familyroom with large raised fireplace, pool table and library and a very large gas grill. The property has 280 feet of sandy beach with gradual slope for children, a 175 ft fishing pier and a 55 ft boatramp. The lakehouse is located in a very quiet neighborhood and offers a quiet and peaceful setting with an abundance of wildlife. BED LINENS, PILLOWS, TOWELS and PAPER PRODUCTS must be provided by vacationers. MANDATORY CLEANING is required before departure by vacationers.. PETS - Pets are allowed outside but not in the house, screened porch, laundry room or gameroom. If you bring a pet, please be prepared to house the animal outside 24/7. SMOKING - Smoking is allowed on the decks and screened front porch but not in the house, bathrooms or gameroom. WEEKLY RENTALS - Weekly rental Check-in time is 4 pm Sunday and Check-out is 11 am the following Sunday unless special arrangements are made WEEKEND RENTALS - Split week rentals of 3 days each are permitted. For a Sun. through Wed. rental, Check-in time is 4 pm on Sunday and Check-out time is 4 pm on Wednesday. For a three day weekend rental, Check-in time is 11 am on Thursday and Check-out time is 11 am on Sunday. If the house is not rented immediately after you, Check-out time on Sunday can be any time on Sunday.
