CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations are effective on the date written notice is received by fax or e-mail in our office. If a refund is applicable, refund payment will be processed within 2-4 weeks of cancellation notice and will be in the form of US Check or refund to credit card account.

The following assessments will apply to cancellations: A fee of 5% of the total reservation amount will be applied to all cancelled reservations.

Cancellation prior to 60 days from arrival date will result in a cancelation fee of 5% of the Total Rent.
Cancellation 31 - 59 days from arrival date will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the Total Rent.
Cancellation less than 60 days prior to arrival date will result in the forfeit of 100% of Total Rent.

Cancellation for any holiday reservation (Christmas, New Year's, Easter, and Thanksgiving weeks) will result in the forfeit of 100% of Total Rent. Some property owners will authorize rescheduling or credit towards a future stay. This strictly depends on the individual property owner and can not be guaranteed without authorization from said owner.

Your reservation may not be subject to refund in case of cancellation due to Hurricane, natural disaster, or other "acts of god". We strongly suggest that you purchase travel insurance to protect your vacation investment.

Bring your own snorkel gear and life jacket. There is a reef right there. We ate at La Buena Vida, walking distance and on the beach. It had vegetarian and vegan options. The water in that area is a bit shallow, but it was great that there was an entrance to the water that had been cleared of rocks. Plenty of comfortable chairs and lounges around pool to enjoy around pool or on the sandy beach. Akumal is a more quiet area so if you are looking for peace and quiet as we were you will love it here. We had a few issues early on, but response time from managment was SUPER fast. Before I could get up from the computer there was often a staff member at the door! All issues were taken care of as quickly as possible. It was nice that bottled water was provided. There was daily maid service, but we did not use it much. Plenty of parking right out front. No steps to get from car to unit, and unit to pool which makes it great for people with mobility issues.
