Welcome to Aqua Villa! Newly constructed (2015) Aqua Villa is situated directly on beautiful Unicorn Cay Beach along the prestigious Banks Road, just five minutes from the town of Governor’s Harbour and ten miles from the Governors Harbour airport.
The white Bermuda roof and ocean color façade of this aptly named, 1500 square foot villa immediately draws you in from the secluded parking area below. Curved limestone steps usher you up to Aqua Villa’s entry while you are taken in by the sunset-facing heated pool, large pool deck and covered porch for private swimming and sunbathing.
The 350 square foot covered porch extends from the pool deck to separate wall-to-wall sliding door entrances to the two large adjacent bedrooms. The contemporary bedrooms each have king-sized beds and the master has a LED flat screen TV. The master bedroom has an en-suite bath with private commode and shower. The second full bath has a porcelain tub/shower combination for those who enjoy soaking after a day of swimming, snorkeling, exploring, and beach walking.
Both bedrooms open to a vast east-facing great room with sweeping beach and ocean views. Enjoy the view while lounging on the comfortable sofa and leather chairs in the open living area with 55-inch LED flat-screen TV. The sofa converts into an oversize queen with a high quality mattress to accommodate two additional guests. This spacious, airy room has a beautiful tile floor centrally embedded with a compass design. A fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances are available for those who enjoy cooking up local seafood caught with your spear or line, or bought at the town dock. Enjoy mornings at the breakfast island or dining table for six while you eat and take in the ocean view. There's also a Keurig (be sure to bring KCups from home) as well as a regular coffee maker.
Wall-to wall screened sliders open onto at second large covered porch furnished for dining or relaxing as you enjoy the beach, ocean and lush landscape. Savor a sunrise breakfast and listen to the surf of the Atlantic or prepare a dinner on the outdoor gas grill and relax on a lounge. The enormous mahogany deck overlooking the beach is reminiscent of a ship’s bow from which one can gaze at expansive, unobstructed north/south views along the beach.
Kayaks and beach going equipment are stored under the deck. A short grassy path leads downhill past a fully constructed outdoor shower with bench. Literally steps from Aqua Villa, a pristine pink-sand beach and crystal clear turquoise water await you. Your own thatched palapa provides a shady respite on your sunny beach.
OUR NEW ONE-BEDROOM GUEST COTTAGE IS AVAILABLE FOR AN EXTRA CHARGE OF $800 to $950 PER WEEK, depending on the season. If you don't need the guest cottage, it will be locked off and not rented to anyone else.
Aqua Villa is fully air conditioned and has its own generator should power be interrupted. A laundry room is equipped with front-loading washer and dryer. Other amenities include high-speed internet with WIFI, cable TV, and a DVD player.
Nearby are Tippy’s restaurant, a 5 minute walk down the beach, the Banks Road Deli and Ocean View Farm for the horse riding lovers. A short drive back into Governor’s Harbour and you have the convenience of banks, ATMs, grocery stores, bakery, liquor stores, gas stations, the Haynes Library, dive shop, gift shops, and medical clinic to satisfy your needs. You can dine at local places like Da Perk, the Buccaneer, French Leave 1648, Sunset Inn, or the Friday Night Fish Fry near Cupid’s Cay. Centrally located, you can easily travel to many of Eleuthera’s famous pristine 100 beaches, such as French Leave, Twin Coves, Ten Bay, or Sky Beach. Travel to the bottomless Ocean Hole, explore the caves, or visit small villages on your way to Lighthouse Beach and its cliffs. Enjoy it all while staying at Aqua Villa, a private enclave on the beach!

If you cancel 90 days or less before your arrival, 100% of your total rental fee will be retained by Homeowner. No-shows, late arrivals, or early departure for any reason, including but not limited to inclement weather or illness, are non-refundable. Homeowner recommends trip insurance to protect Renter against loss from such events.

"Paradise Revisited
This was our fourth year staying at Aqua Villa, and it was just as nice and perfect as the first time. The property is exceptional, the beach pristine and deserted. "Wonderful Lodging
Aqua Villa is truly a gem of a rental property. The owner has incorporated additional touches that really separate this property from many others. The furniture on the deck allows one to read or relax in the shade while still hearing the ocean surf. The palapa allows one to read or relax on the beach while also getting some shade if one wishes. We saw others on the beach directly exposed to the sun while we relaxed under the palapa. The whole home generator was a blessing as the electricity was out for a few hours a few days during the week. The location of the house is great also. One can walk to Tippy's with ease (it's about a five minute walk), and that walk can be on Banks road or the beach. All in all, this is a wonderful rental property."

"Best Vacation I have ever been on
Words cannot describe the beauty of this house and its location. The house was fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay and also things like a cooler and beach towels if you wanted to explore the island. My favorite was waking up early and enjoying my morning coffee on the back deck and taking in the scenery. We ended our evenings relaxing in the pool looking up at the stars. We snorkeled many beaches during our stay and our favorite spot was the beach the house sits on. The reef is amazing!!! We met the owner on the beach and he very friendly and recommended places for us to explore and eat at. I highly recommend this property for those who want a beautiful home on a perfect location in Eleuthera!"

"Fantastic location!
We stayed for 1 week at Aqua Villa and it was perfect. The location is about a 7 minute walk to Tippy's down the beach. The location is very private with only a few homes on either side. The pool was a nice addition for the little one when he was tired of the beach but the house itself is actually a lot larger in person than the pictures show. Very tall ceilings make it feel much bigger. Some constructive criticism would be that the kitchen needs some updated cookware and glassware/cups. There are two huge coolers on the property which was nice. Some blankets need to be added in the home for the pull out couch and for just lounging around. The mattresses in the bedrooms are very very firm which as not a problem for me but my wife slept on the pull out because it was too much for her. Other than those small things the home is great. 63 total steps to the sand and the existing tiki hut on the beach is worth the price of the house to not have to set up any umbrella or chairs. We would 100% stay in this home again!"

This place checks all the boxes. Great location, very clean and well maintained, comfortable furniture and beds, all the amenities you could ask for, and most importantly Hewitt the property manager. Perfect for a party of four, or six if you add the extra apartment near the pool. Steve, the owner, takes pride in his home and it clearly shows. "

"Lovely home with stunning views and the comforts of home
Beautiful waterfront rental that provided us with a private comfortable retreat to come back to after traveling around the main island as well as visiting several other islands close by. The owner himself came by to resolve a couple minor items and was very helpful. La Bougainvillea was superb for dinner and was very close by (we ate there 2 times), unfortunately both the Buccaneer Club & Tippy's were closed the entire time we were there, but Tippy's would have been a staple for us had it been open as it was a perfect walkable location from the rental! We also really enjoyed Frigates Bar & Grill in Rock Sound and The Shipyard in Spanish Wells. We hit Mel's Snack Shack on the way back to the airport - and it was also a great little stop for a beachside lunch. The Leon Levy Plant Preserve was worth a visit, the view from the Tower was spectacular-be sure to wear your walking shoes! But the best day we had was when we rented a boat in Spanish Wells and took a picnic lunch with us out on the water...visited Pig Island and Egg Island and just had the most beautiful day! We would highly recommend you bring as much of your own frozen meat and non-perishable items as you can to have on hand to eat in some - why not, you have a grill, a fully equipped kitchen and a spectacular view!! The restaurant & grocery prices are quite steep compared to what we pay in the U.S. and the selection was extremely limited."

This was our fifth visit to Aqua Villa, so we are very biased. As always, it is apparent the owner AND, as importantly, Howard the property manager, take their obligations to their renters very seriously. As per usual, all of the stated amenities are in place at Aqua Villa. However, due to weather, sometimes severe, or minor, or, "just because", a working generator is essential. Also, when the weather is wonderful, a palapa, with loungers, on the beach for sun protection is key. Aqua Villa has both. Do not overlook these Bahamian necessities!

"Returned for a second visit!
We stayed at Aqua Villa the year it was first built by the owner. Loved the location and the home! We returned this year after my daughter's wedding and Steve's home did not disappoint. The home is really well maintained and this is not always the case in homes you rent on the island. Great attention to detail and some updates made to the outdoor furnishings that were even better (if they could be) than before. The home has a wonderful pool right as you drive up, huge deck on the back of the house with gorgeous views of the Atlantic. Steps down to the beach (quick walk to Tippy's - an island favorite), two ocean kayaks, plenty of life vests, shower to rinse off midway up the steps from the beach. House is well equipped - air conditioning works GREAT, an air cleaner/sanitizing system has been added right off the kitchen, lots of towels for the pool. Two bedrooms, two full baths with the optional cottage with a full bath adjacent to the house. We used the cottage due to the size of our group this time. The owner was on the island and stopped by to see us the first day. Happy to say - we will be back to visit Aqua Villa! Special thanks to Matt and the team at Eleuthera Vacation Rentals for coordinating our second stay at Aqua Villa - you always make it so easy! "

Aqua Villa is truly a paradise place to spend your vacation at! Being our first time traveling to the Bahamas, we really didn’t know what to expect. However both Pam and Hewitt guided us through everything! Not to mention, we were very appreciative of the amazing hospitality my family and I received from the owner of the villa, Steve. He made sure we were well taken care of. With this being said, our family enjoyed everything Aqua Villa had to offer from waking up every morning to the crystal, turquoise and clear ocean or the private pool from couple steps away from the Master bedroom. This home is absolutely amazing. It is fully equipped with everything you could ever need and is absolutely spotless. My family loved the private beach for snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, and walking/ running. Hewitt, the property manager was so sweet and helpful. Definitely rent a car from him..... there’s so much to see on the island. The owner, Steve, was also great. He even let us borrow his snorkeling gear. Pam was super helpful in answering all of our questions ahead of time.
If you are planning on sight seeing, pack some water shoes, so you can hike/swim and take in all the beauty of the island. "

"Beautiful Beach and House
We stayed there for 2 weeks and enjoyed every day there. Aqua Villa is a very nice house and is sitting on of the best beaches on the island. It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves as we hardly saw any people. The house is equipped with a water cooler for drinking and Steve, the owner, was bringing the replacements when we were out. He was very helpful. The house has also a separate unit to filter the air so any time when it detected any odor in the house it was kicking in to clean the air. There are beach towels in the house as well so you don’t need to bring them. I loved the deck on the house and enjoyed it during the day but stayed in the house in the morning and night time because of annoying no-see-ums. You can shop for groceries in Governors Harbour as they are the closest. We found a better super market in Rock Sound that is like 30 min drive south of Aqua Villa. It’s next to a gas station. Governors Harbor has also a bakery where we you can buy fresh bread, pastries. Their guava jam is delicious. Overall we had a wonderful experience. "

"non-smokers beware
It is difficullt to answer any of the (below) questions about the condition of the house or our comfort staying there- all I can say is that the house reeked of cigarette smoke odors and it took almost all of our 2 week stay to properly air out the house... We had to get the property manager to remove the fuse for the a/c so that the fan would not continue in any way to whiff out smokey air and leave every window wide open and basically it took most of our vacation... Finally only the bathrooms and laundry area, poorly ventilated areas continued to smell smokey until the last few days. Only the mattress for the masterbedroom retained a lasting odor, although we covered it with a bed pad and a quilt below our bottom sheet.Otherwise, the only complaint was that too many of the ceiling fans did not work.
It was otherwise a very clean and well maintained house, well maintained and well supplied with lovely, new kitchen equipment and dinnerware."

"Perfect location, spectacular views
You cannot beat this home for views. The deck is set up high overlooking the beach. Beautiful water views from the living room and kitchen. Enjoy the sounds of the surf throughout the house. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. The pool behind the house
is heated and the deck offers another lounging spot in sun or shade depending on the time of day. We used the pool a lot in the evenings as it was so warm and beautiful. Definitely enhanced our vacation. The beach in front of the house is spectacular! The
water is warm even in January. You can walk for miles on the firm sand . Unfortunately Tippys was closed during our stay. I'm sure that would have been fun to have food and entertainment so close. The supermarkets in town are ridiculously expensive, so bring
what you can. Pantry in the house is pretty well stocked with basics and Hewitt, the caretaker started us with a beautiful box of eggs. There is an organic vegetable market in north palmetto point we wish we'd found early in our trip. Baccus fine foods right
up the street has delicious lunch, breakfast and fresh berries for sale along with fresh bread, cheese, etc. Check here for wine or food before heading to the supermarket! We ate at the Buccaneers Club a few times, delicious with super nice help, La bougainvillea
has a pizza and live music night on Thursday's which was fun as it's the only place to dance in town right now. Don't miss taking the ferry and touring Spanish Wells and Russell Island in a golf cart! One of our favorite outings snd they have a huge supermarket
there if you want to stock up! We hated Harbor Island....crowded and dirty. You can't beat the beaches and exploring on the big island of Eleuthera. Driving is a little hairy as locals drive fast and you're driving on the opposite side of the road. We had

"A True Eleutheran Treasure
We have made many trips to the Bahamas but this was our first to Eleuthera. Aqua Villa was absolutely perfect and everything we imagined it would be. The Villa is centrally located and offers with most stunning views you'll ever see. The kitchen is well
equipped and had everything we needed to prepare meals at home. This was especially important since most restaurants were still closed. The heated pool was an added bonus and was just perfect on those days the ocean was a little too cool. We rented our car
from Hewitt and he made the entire process super simple. He was so kind and helpful and we truly appreciated all of his assistance. Pam Eleuthera Vacations) was also incredible. Our flight home was canceled and we needed to stay an extra night. She was responsive

"Eleuthera's Aqua Villa Vacation 2020
Loved Eleuthera! We've been to many vacation spots and this didn't disappoint! Beautiful and quaint! Aqua Villa was new, clean, well supplied, and close to Governor's Harbour. Four restaurants nearby as well as a nice grocery store. Fish fry with the locals on Friday night was fun. Owner of Aqua Villa (Steve) was there and check in on us every day making sure our stay was perfect! Would definitely go back again!"

Loved everything this slice of paradise had to offer! We've been to several islands around the Caribbean but this is our first Bahama island and it did not disappoint. The most beautiful beaches and most beautiful water we have ever seen, especially right out front. The house was well appointed, very clean and we felt like royalty there! "Best house on Banks Road!!
I have zero complaints!! This house provides for a perfect vacation!! Staying in Central Eleuthera...Banks Road in Governors Harbor is the perfect location. We were close enough to all amenities...but had a private beach and felt like we had the island to ourselves. The house had everything we needed and more. Hewitt the house manager is easily accessible and when we needed something (50 gallon filtered water bottle changed) it was done immediately. The actual house owner came to check on us...which was very nice. Eleuthera is the best place to vacation...this house made paradise even more perfect!!"

"Dream House, Will Stay Here Again
My husband and I visited Eleuthera in Oct 2017. We immediately decided then to return to the island the next October with our kids ages 15 and 7. This house had everything we were looking for and more. Aqua Villa is located right on Banks Road just South of Governor's Harbor. We arrived to this paradise and were greeted by Hewitt the property manager. Hewitt was very helpful and a wealth of knowledge when we had questions about the island. The house is situated on a bluff with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. The decks were furnished with lounge chairs and tables for eating al fresco. The wash station on the stairs to the beach were very handy. We brought fishing poles and caught fish right off the beach. The house was like out of a magazine. The wall of doors and windows on the ocean side allowed for unobstructed constant views. The furniture was nice and updated. The beds were comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the master bath having 2 sink areas and a spacious tiled shower. The second bedroom was shared by my kids but they had their own beds. Each bedroom has a sliding door that opens on to the patio by the pool. The pool was amazing. It was very clean and we enjoyed a dip everyday. The kitchen is modern and includes everything you will need. The washer and dryer were used daily to keep up with our towel use. There were a few things at the house when we arrived, various sunscreens, bug spray which is a must, first aid kit, detergent, dish soap, spices in the kitchen and an abundance of towels, washcloths and extra sheets. Anything you need to stock the fridge is available at the grocery in Governor's Harbor nearby. We did not have a need for the cottage out back but it was very nice and perfect for a couple wanting privacy from the main house. Overall this was a dream house on a dream vacation. We will stay here again and again. "

This was our 1st trip to Eleuthera, and we WILL come back and stay in this house. It’s very well stocked and just the right size and location. In a week we saw maybe 10 people on the beach. It’s a short drive into Governor’s Harbour and everything you need. The deck is wonderful, beds are comfy, nice modern kitchen and baths, and we also rented the guest house as we had a party of five. I have nothing negative to say about this house."

"Aqua Villa astau
Aqua villa was perfect in every way. We had a wonderful experience during the booking process and experienced great customer service. When we arrived, the property manager was very helpful and picked us up from the airport. When we got there, they explained everything about Aqua Villa to us. The views were some of the best on the island. The entire property inside and out was just as described, but more beautiful in person. We really enjoyed our stay and it was hard to leave. The beach access was very private and easy to access. The pool was wonderful. The craftsmanship of the Villa was unbelievable! It also had all the necessities we needed to cook for the week. It helped there was a dishwasher and washer and drier. It also helped we we’re smack dab in the middle of the island off Banks Road. It was so easy to get to things by foot or even in our rental car. We CANNOT say this enough, we are more than happy with our stay. It made our honeymoon and experience we will never forget. "

"Just Amazing!!
Aqua Villa was perfect! The location could not be any better and the beach is gorgeous! My family of 3 visited for 7 days and just fell in love with this place! We enjoyed most of our days on the beach and in the pool! The house has everything you need (except a muffin pan lol) and met all of our needs!! The caretaker, Hewitt, was so nice and answered all of our questions throughout our stay! He even dropped a couple of fresh coconuts by for us!! We walked to Tippy's several times for lunch and dinner. We were so pleased we had access to such a great restaurant so close to the villa! We were able to explore the island and found two other great restaurants we enjoyed, Bucanneer Club and 1648! There are a couple of grocery stores we visted too where you can find just about anything you need! This truly was a one-of-a-kind vacation that we will never forget!! "

"Amazing Stay!
From the beginning, the island took my breath away and the rental certainly added to the experience. Our sweet caretaker picked us up from the airport after our rental car did not show up. He got us a car for the night and delivered us to Aqua Villa. The home was immaculate. Everything you could possibly need was supplied, from laundry detergent to a printer/fax machine! Absolutely amazing in every way possible. Only twice during the week did we see other people on "our" beach. The rental cannot be beaten for amenities or location. When we return it will be to Aqua Villa!"

"Just what we were looking for (and needed)
We stayed at Aqua Villa the beginning of May 2018 to celebrate our anniversary. We had been to the Bahamas several time but Eleuthera and Aqua Villa surpasses all our expectations. First, the island is beautiful. We were amazed by the beauty and beaches!! And everyone we met was helpful and considerate. Aqua Villa did not disappoint either. The house is very nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed for the week. We enjoy cooking together and found the kitchen to be well stocked for our needs. It was very relaxing to enjoy our morning coffee and meals on the Oceanside patio. The entire process was smooth. Pam was helpful with all our questions before we arrived and Hewitt (the prop mgr) was equally helpful. "

Es wirkt nicht wie ein Ferienhaus, sondern wie ein Eigentümerhaus, wirklich top. Wunderschöner Pool zum Sonnenuntergang. DerVerwalter vor Ort sehr nett und hilfsbereit und die Vermietungsagentur hat einen super netten kompetenten Service, von der Abwicklung, bis zu Informationen vorab und sehr netten schnellen Hilfestellungen rund um die Insel. Sehr zu empfehlen, einfach fantastisch!"
