Velento Rentals Management presents:
The Palmetto Garden Cottage at Palmetto Beach, Avenida Mangle, Caye Caulker, Belize.
We added this property underneath Barbara's Beach House in 2016. This really beautiful addition is spacious and can actually accommodate 4 guests with a futon in the living room. You can have the King bed separated into two twins if you request it. Also a Queen Futon in the living room for extra sleeping capacity. We built the bathroom so that it can be entered both through the bedroom and separately from the living room for privacy at night. This property is located underneath Barbara's Beach House, having had so much success with Sandy's and Laura's lay out way we decided to build underneath Barbara's. With large bright windows and French doors opening out onto a Palapa covered deck you enjoy a beautiful Palm Grove which is lit up at night.
Right on your door step is a tranquil palm grove with BBQ facilities including picnic tables and a giant Jenga game. Paddle boards and kayaks are available for free, Beer can be bought at the front desk by the bottle, the bucket or a whole case. You can also rent bikes and golf carts at the front desk or book tours with anyone of the many tour operators on the island for fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving or sunset sailing cruises, our staff are there to help. Bikes are available to rent at US $7.50 per bike, per day, 4 seater golf carts rent for $75 per day and 6 seaters for $87.50 We recommend you reserve with us in advance.
We have a pool shared with our other guests however the best feature we have found is the huge dock we built running some 300 feet out to sea with sunbathing pods built off the sides as well a huge swimming deck at the end and a large Palapa to shade you from the sun. We built a beach which you can hang out on as well with loungers and Palapa covered tables as well as corn hole and ladder Toss games to entertain you. The whole dock, beach and poolside decks are covered with chaise lounges complete with comfortable mattresses. We have staff on site throughout the day and a Security guard on hand at night to ensure your safety. Our onsite office hours are 9:00pm - 7:00pm, so that someone is always on hand to help with your needs. You have easy access to the Beach Road, which will take you right into the center of town by either a 5-10 minute bike ride, or a 10- 15 minute walk, but the location remains quiet and secluded; a bit of the Caye Caulker of old!!!

"Amazing!!
We stayed at the Palmetto Cottage in Caye Caulker and it was perfect! We have 2 small children and the place had everything we needed. Kitchen was stocked. Plenty of towels and bedding and the quality of everything was great. The staff on location was so nice. Although the place does not have a washer, they did laundry for us anyway so we had clean clothes for the return trip ;) They also helped get the right size bikes for our kids and adjusted for their heights so we could ride bikes all week. We will be back! "

"A little bit of Heaven
The property has everything you need and very little of what you don't. Great location in a quiet area of the island but close to everything. Very local vibe made it easy to relax and decompress. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Palmetto. While not on the water, we had easy and great access to the beach and docks. Room was very well maintained with a complete kitchen. Also had a nice porch to enjoy. Loved every minute of our stay!"

This unit was small and dark but offered a good location for activities and access to the pier. Right on the foot path so no privacy and no sun so nothing dried. Management disappointing when water and power were limited, along with our options for coping. "

"wonderful stay
Arrived at property which is only several minutes walk from the Caye Caulker airport. Check in was a breeze, room was spacious and clean. Perfect for two people. Had a small kitchen, AC. Nice porch area to look out into the courtyard. Location is close enough to the split etc.. to be a short walk, but far enough away that it is a quiet location. Bike rental available for a small fee. The cleanliness of the property is immaculate and the staff are so friendly. I would definitely stay here again."

"Quiet, impeccably maintained apartment with all the amenities.
Palmetto Garden had everything we needed for our family during our stay. It is in a quiet part of the Caye but a short walk from all the action! We really enjoyed spending time in the lounge chairs on the dock, no sand flies!! There’s steps off the end of the dock so easy access for a quick swim and or snorkel. We were rewarded our last day when a ray swam by while we were on the dock we also saw a dolphin jump one morning! Beautiful spot to watch the sunrise.
The apartment was spotlessly clean with a well stocked kitchen. We didn’t spend much time in the pool other than the odd dip, but it was super clean as well. "

"Perfect location to Stay
This was our 3rd time to visit the island. WE love the laid back go slow attitude on this island. We have stayed closer to the village before; but we really enjoyed the peacefulness of your location. The staff their was wonderful. They was very helpful with anything you asked. The property was very clean and beautiful inside and out. I would recommend this property. All the staff was a delight to be around and very friendly and hard workers. I will defiantly stay with them again. The location is just far enough from village to be peaceful; but to far to be able to get to restaurants and be part of the activities going on with the island. The office staff will set you up with any attractions you are interested in and you will be picked up by boat on pier or by taxi at your villa. "

"Great location near the ocean
Property was accurately described and the managers were very helpful. They had arranged for a taxi cart to meet us at the San Pedro Water Taxi dock and transport us and our baggage to the front door of the condo. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The private dock was a very comfortable place to sit and relax on the water. Restaurants and shops are within a short walking distance. We enjoyed dining at The Pelican, a very nice Italian place, and the outside upper deck overlooking the ocean at the Magic Grill. We went on a snorkeling trip with French Angel Expeditions. The condo was a nice place to come home to after a fun filled day on Caye Caulker. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for everything. "

Extremely nice, quiet, clean & comfortable home away from home. All the comforts of home. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to spend some time in Caye Caulker. It’s close enough to restaurants, grocery stores for walking, a bike ride to the Split, or sit back & relax at the pool, on the dock or beach.
