The Surfside complex is directly across the street from the beach and Gulf of Mexico. After a long day of fun in the sun you will love coming back to the beautiful courtyard with grills, picnic tables, covered sitting areas and a sparkling pool. The pool is heated as well so it can be enjoyed any time of year! The Surfside complex is made up of 2-bedroom condos surrounding the courtyard, making it the ideal choice for large groups looking to stay close to one another.

CLEAN BED PROMISE
-Padre Escapes promises to launder every comforter, every sheet, every TIME!
-After every stay we replace all towels & linens (including the comforter, which most people don’t do) with clean towels & linens from our 5500sf laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
CLEANING AND INSPECTION
-We use disinfecting products that meet or exceed CDC performance standards.
-Every property is stocked with bath towels & washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property along with one hand towel per bathroom.
-These complimentary amenities are provided in the property as a convenience until you can go shopping: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.
-We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your family’s arrival.
-A two-night minimum stay is required.
-Contracting guests of Padre Escapes must be 25 years of age or older. The guest must have a State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID.
-DOG-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: MAXIMUM OF ONE DOG. There is a $100 per pet fee for all stays 7 days or less, $200 for stays of 8-29 days and $300 for stays of 30 days or greater. In addition, there is also a pet-cleaning fee of $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days and $100 for stays of 30+ days.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 25% down at the time the reservation is made. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and tax. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of payments made. Applicable refunds will only be issued to the guest by the same form in which it was made, even if a credit card has since expired or canceled. The above applies to moving dates or switching units as well. We recommend that the guest purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals. If a guest does not show up for their stay the total amount paid is non-refundable.

"Misleading Advert-Needs Cleaning
The grounds were fine. our unit was not very well cleaned. The kitchen sink had black mold around the fixtures. Do not advertise "steps off to beach" since you have to cross the street to get to beach"

"Overall Good Stay- Only a Couple of Issues
Overall the stay was good. One of the rooms had a few issues (the queen and twin bed room) such as low AC flow which made it way warmer than the other rooms, and the TV never did work no matter what we did to troubleshoot it. Wi-Fi was also spotty the entire stay but we didn't expect much from it and were rarely there to use it often enough for it to bother us. Absolutely loved the location. It was right by one of the pool gates, and it was literally a 5 minute walk to the sea wall give or take. The office was a little hard to find, it didnt specify that you needed to go through the side gate to get to it so we walked around the property a few times trying to find it. The staff was super friendly, and was all smiles through every interaction. The pool was nice and refreshing after a long hot day on the beach, and the large tables were perfect for our family gatherings. We would definitely stay again!"

Three items had to be replaced while we were there because they did not work

Other thing is why did I get three email and text messages to remind me to get out on time starting the day before I had to leave
NOBODY needs to be reminded their vacation is about over
Especially since it was our first vacation since Covid started

"Most Direct Route to the Beach Without Staying on the Beach
This worked out well for us. It's a ground floor unit that is located on the Ground Floor Beach Side of the Property. Plenty of room inside the unit to spread out. If walking or like us where you bring a lot of equipment to the beach like chairs, tents and what not there is a public parking area right across the street from this complex which leaves you just steps from the water. The hotel styled luggage carts provided were really appreciated in getting our suitcases and coolers and other assorted sundries from the car into the unit. There is a great deal of security with all the gates into the complex and the door to the condo either locked by key or combo but perhaps combination locks could be provided on all the gates as getting the key out every time you walked out into the parking lot got sort of old. Perhaps too their should be some limits to the hours the pool is available for use as on our last evening, a Sunday there was still a large group using the pool at midnight and the units all face the pool area. It was a really great stay and I would highly recommend Surfside to anyone looking for a great beach getaway that is worth the money. "

This provided our family with a great opportunity to relax and enjoy ourselves, but still be able to prepare some of our own meals, which helped save a little money. It was also nice for the whole family to have plenty of room, instead of feeling cooped up in a hotel room. It was a bit of a splurge on our travel budget, but I would love to go back again sometime!"

"Cute, clean & comfortable
Loved our stay in unit 103. Unit was very clean, had everything we needed. The unit has a great beach vibe. Comfortable beds and living room furniture. Would recommend to up to 4 persons. There's only one (smallish) bathroom so keep that in mind. "

"Times have changed
Room was not ready on time. Did not even start working on it until we arrived. Room we reserved was not what we ended up getting. Staff did not know how to treat paying customers. Customer Service was not their forte, if you were not an owner. I can only presume they have had some bad renters. The unit itself was nice and location is not too bad. Says they are pet friendly but the are not really. As long as your pet stays in the condo, they are good for you to pay $150.00 per pet. Definitely has changed over the years. "

"Time to move on from surfside
Every year for the past 3 I have continued to go back to surfside and bring my kids, in the last three years I keep looking for this place to be as it was, friendly, staff that was helpful and people that seemed just happy to have you there. this is no longer that place, it took hours to get dishwashing liquid and to think that you can't get toilet paper or trashbags after your allocation has been given to you, that is just nonsense. the parking lot of the facility did not seem full but the pool was full of people every day, I don't know if people were visiting or what but no one was wearing the bracelet so who knows if they were stayng or not. And the checkin not until 4PM, I find that so very late and those are the little touches that are missing, why would you not let someone in to the place until half the day is over? so many little things that have changed to make what I thought was such a great place to a less than mediocre place to stay at considering the price. My family and I are very sad to see this happen."

"Nice location, walk to beach, great pool. Needs new furniture
The location was walking distance to beach. Or a quick drive to park on beach.
The pool area is great.
Small family friendly environment.
Convenient location to restaurants
First floor was nice and overlooks the pool.
The staff is helpful and accommodating with any requests that we made.
Overall, it was a nice stay for the price.
Beds and furniture need to be updated. Very old and not very comfortable. But we managed ok for 4 nights and we would consider staying here again.
