The Surfside complex is directly across the street from the beach and Gulf of Mexico. After a long day of fun in the sun you will love coming back to the beautiful courtyard with grills, picnic tables, covered sitting areas and a sparkling pool. The pool is heated as well so it can be enjoyed any time of year! The Surfside complex is made up of 2-bedroom condos surrounding the courtyard, making it the ideal choice for large groups looking to stay close to one another.

SURFSIDE COMPLEX FEATURES -Heated swimming pool (heated to a max temp of 91 degrees in winter months) -Poolside loungers, tables, and chairs -Beautiful fenced in courtyard area -Two gazebos within the pool/courtyard area -Charcoal BBQ grills within the pool/courtyard area -Multiple dog waste disposal stations -Coin operated laundry facility on site, $2 for washer and $2 for dryer (Quarter exchange at front office)
CLEAN BED PROMISE -Padre Escapes promises to launder every comforter, every sheet, every TIME! -After every stay we replace all towels & linens (including the comforter, which most people don’t do) with clean towels & linens from our 5500sf laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
CLEANING AND INSPECTION -We use disinfecting products that meet or exceed CDC performance standards. -Every property is stocked with bath towels & washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property along with one hand towel per bathroom. -These complimentary amenities are provided in the property as a convenience until you can go shopping: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge. -We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your family’s arrival. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -A two-night minimum stay is required. -Contracting guests of Padre Escapes must be 25 years of age or older. The guest must have a State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID. -PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: MAXIMUM OF ONE PET. There is a $100 per pet fee for all stays 7 days or less, $200 for stays of 8-29 days and $300 for stays of 30 days or greater. In addition, there is also a pet-cleaning fee of $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days and $100 for stays of 30+ days.

Pets Allowed CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 25% down at the time the reservation is made. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and tax. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of payments made. Applicable refunds will only be issued to the guest by the same form in which it was made, even if a credit card has since expired or canceled. The above applies to moving dates or switching units as well. We recommend that the guest purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals. If a guest does not show up for their stay the total amount paid is non-refundable.

I unit 112, or my sister and I stayed., Needs the carpet, ripped out and new mattresses in the bedroom that had two queen size beds. Those mattresses were like sleeping on cardboard. Other than that the state was very pleasant. I would come back again, but in a unit that has no carpet."

The property was in a good location. Close to the water. The condo was a little dirty though. I eventually cleaned it myself. The tub was awful and so we're the rugs. But overall it was a good weekend. "

"Father’s Day/Daughter’s Bday vacation
The condo was clean and in order. However, we had dinner plans Saturday for both Father’s Day and daughters bday that we had to cancel bc water had been shut off from 1pm-8pm. We had been at the beach all day and I had been fishing only to come back to no running water. I understand things happen, but this was very inconvenient and had upset my wife due to the fact she had made reservations at a restaurant. I haven’t had a chance to call, but I am going to this afternoon. I would like partial refund for that day or a credit towards our next stay that we are planning next month and then again in August."

"Enjoyable
My family had a very comfortable stay until my daughter reached up into a cabinet to get some plates. They had been put on a high shelf with a lot of food left on them. It was disgusting. I would suggest a better inspection for cleanliness before renting a unit out. I have been staying at Surfside for a very long time. Never have I been so upset. It used to be easy to book a stay. Now there’s to much stressful documentation on line. I’m no longer impressed with the property. "

"A good idea
This was a great spot to stay for beach vacation. It was clean, properly stocked and comfortable. We had a small issue with one room being warmer than the rest and it smelled weird when we arrived but otherwise it was all great. Will totally come back. Thank y’all! "

"Great Lication but little rough
We had a great stay because we were with family and rented multiple rooms. Our room was downstairs under a family who had a dog and kids. The dog played every morning between 5-6 am by running up and down the hallways chasing a ball. My bed had a wire that stuck out so I had to be careful that I didn't hit it. They do not replenish the toilet paper after the 2 rolls,so bring your own.The shower curtain in our room was dingy yellow at the bottom. They do have brand new grills so we were able to grill. The pool was good. I think we would come back but get a different room. "

I had a good stay but wanted 2 bed 2 bath , 1st floor with in condo washer and dryer. the only bad comment was that I vacumed cat or dog hair up for four months. the owner should have the carpet deep ceaned before renting it out.noisy people above me."

"Good vs Bad
Background: I have been staying at Surfside since 1975. I have stayed in almost every room in the complex. Good: The pool area was very nice. The room was comfortable and well stocked. We had an issue with air conditioner that was promptly handled by management in a manner that one would expect. Bad: Our unit is in need of some upgrading. Carpet ws not installed properly, furniture was aged and well used. Owner should invest in upgrades. Our biggest concern were the people above us. Many people moving around at all hours of day and night. It was very disturbing."

"Don’t stay in 112
I like the location but the unit itself left a lot to be desired. Some of the pillows were dirty and smelled. The table had a big damage mark. The mattress had small stains, the carpet was gross, overall the unit was outdated and appliances were old. If I’m paying for a condo, there are others at Surfside that are cleaner and updated. "

Our unit was a little dated, but very comfortable with two couches and an easy chair. There were a lot of dishes and utensils so we didn't need to buy anything. The property management team is excellent. Any concerns or questions we had were dealt with immediately. The Property Management team is very friendly and encourage activities with one another. Since the property was only a block from the beach, we walked on it once or twice a day. "

"Family get together
Still a great property for the pool area alone. Each room can vary quite a bit on furnishings and finish but still delivers as expected after coming here for almost 20 years. The one major negative was the booking process. Pricing was near double what it has been over the years and was inconsistent on the website vs online booking checkout. Had to negotiate what I was told was a "special one time rate"....which happened to be around the rate I've booked for years. If the pricing isn't corrected, the property just lost a 20 year customer ..."

"Perfect stay for family!
This trip was for my grandsons to get to the ocean for the first time. The condo was clean and comfortable. The beach is just across the street. The property is clean and well maintained, and felt very secure, with a nice pool and grills poolside. The condo is well equipped to cook meals. I would definitely consider staying here again! "

"Would not recommend the unit
There are permanent residents that live above this unit. We had noise issues (heavy footsteps, large dog walking back and forth, talking, TV) during our stay. Our second night I had to go upstairs and ask the residence if they could try and be a little quieter after several hours of loud banging and keeping my 2-year-old daughter awake. I also contacted the host to assist with the issue and the management in the condo main office. The noise persisted. After our stay, I again reached out to the host to see about any refund they might offer given the noise issue. The host was unwilling to refund any amount. If you have no issue with loud noises from above this place might be fine. Personally, I will not be staying there again and would not recommend the unit to a friend. We did, however, have a good time at the beach. "

It was clean to a point an it has a nice pool. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The whole time we stayed we had no hot water. We even went to the front desk an told them. They said they would fix it. We waited an still no hot water. They didn’t give us a different room. So the whole time we had no hot water. Which upset up. The front desk lady’s are nice but they don’t think same things are important...."
