-Padre Escapes promises to launder every comforter, every sheet, every TIME!
-After every stay we replace all towels & linens (including the comforter, which most people don’t do) with clean towels & linens from our 5500sf laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
CLEANING AND INSPECTION
-We use disinfecting products that meet or exceed CDC performance standards.
-Every property is stocked with bath towels & washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property along with one hand towel per bathroom.
-These complimentary amenities are provided in the property as a convenience until you can go shopping: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.
-We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your family’s arrival.

-A two-night minimum stay is required.
-Contracting guests of Padre Escapes must be 25 years of age or older. The guest must have a State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 25% down at the time the reservation is made. Reservations cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and tax. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to check-in will result in full forfeiture of payments made. Applicable refunds will only be issued to the guest by the same form in which it was made, even if a credit card has since expired or canceled. The above applies to moving dates or switching units as well. We recommend that the guest purchase CSA Travel Protection. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals. If a guest does not show up for their stay the total amount paid is non-refundable.

"Weekend fishing getaway with extended family
Very spacious accommodation nice balcony overlooking the bay, nice neighborhood, clean beds however A/C vents did not work in bedrooms so very hot in the secondary bedrooms had to move to living room sofa bed to get some sleep master bedroom was ok. Well equipped kitchen however dishwasher was dirty , with some red liquid inside, lack of washer dryer made it difficult for large family. "

"Beach Getaway
For the price it was sub standard. The place was clean, but the condition is in no way worth the price. The pool across the street is in need of repair and was dirty, they stairs leading to the 2nd floor had a broken 4th stair going up, they offered nothing to welcome you to the unit, the location was fine, but would definitely choose a different location if I were to spend thia price again. I was a little let down by the condition on the place. You can tell they upgraded the furnishings, but the moding is coming away from the tub in the bathroom and had mold behind it along with the tub not being very clean upon arrival."

"Needs new AC or duct work
The Condo was nice, clean, and updated, with a great location; HOWEVER... the AC basically did not work in the 2 back bedrooms. The lowest setting on the thermostat was 72 and master and living room would get cold but the back rooms were probably closer to 80. it was un-sleep-able, and part of our group had to sleep in the living room because the back would never cool down. This put a damper on the living arrangements as we booked a 3br condo because we needed 3 beds and didn't want to use a fold out couch or sleep in the living room. We were very disappointed about this, and would not recommend this unit to anyone that needs more than 1 bedroom until this issue has been resolved. "

"Cozy and spacious
Everything was great. Rooms were clean and there were no surprises. Sometimes you view a home online and once you arrive it looks different. This home was not the case, everything was perfect for our weekend getaway.
The only thing I did notice was that one of the rooms, the AC would not cool. After a day in the sun, the AC is much needed to rest. I checked the vent to ensure it was open however it still not cool the room. There was an oscillating fan which is what we used at night. "

"Great place for families
We stayed here for our annual summer beach trip and it was great! It was very clean and had a great fishing spot right outside for the kids to fish as long as they wanted. Unit had everything you would need to cook meals if you wanted and rooms were pretty spacious only drawback was that the 2nd bathroom was not in the master bedroom it was in one of the other rooms with the smaller bed which was kinda strange but overall we had a awesome stay would definitely come back! Another plus was there were boogie boards in the garage for kids to use at the beach and a washer and dryer for your use."

"Happy Shack
I would have attached pictures that I took but this survey did not allow for it. There was a part of the hallway wall that had fallen off and I could see mold. The beds and pillows were very old, smelly and uncomfortable. The AC unit did not work very well. The front part of the condo had to be really cold so that the back two bedrooms were sleep-able. The lock to the back patio from the bunk bed room is broken. The wonderfully, huge TV is precariously set on a wobbly stand. It's going to fall! The location is super and peaceful."

"Vacay with a View
When we arrived the unit was very clean. In the kitchen was a welcome package full of treats and beach accessories- loved it!! The beds were comfortable and the A/C was ran nice and cold. The location was great-access downstairs to fishing, beach was minutes away, dining and grocery was within minutes from the unit. The only negative was no washer/dryer within the unit. Other than that great place- would stay here again."

"nice place, great view and location
The condo I rented as I stated was a nice place, great view and quiet location. Has a nice dock for use (one of the few). It was ready for a 6 wk occupancy except for 1 small problem that was taken care of quickly. The only downside is it has no wi-fi and we do plan on renting again I would buy wi-fi for 8 weeks. It's my understanding the condo is for sale and hopefully a new owner would put in wi-fi. The cable selection is top notch for those cold Tx days watching TV. Padre Escapes who coordinate the rental is first class. They'll take care of whatever you need. The condo allows pets and for me this is a deal breaker on other rentals as I will not rent anything (inc a hotel room) where I can't bring my dog. You pay a few bucks more ($325 for the 6 weeks)but to me it is worth it.
So understanding I didn't expect the Ritz (where I have stayed) or the Motel 6 (where I haven't) Starting w/ 5, I deduct 1/2 pt for no wi-fi, 1/4 pt for the problem that the cleaning crew should have told Padre Escapes about (which was taken care of quickly), and 1/4 pt for a really ****** cheap charcoal bbq, (most units had none I would deduct 1/2 pt for that), add 1/2 pt for allowing dogs and 1/4 pt for the occasional cigar OUTSIDE on the very nice deck It gets a 4.75/5 and I would rent it again."

"A pearl with some scrapes
We really enjoyed the place and the set-up of the condo. But we learnt that the pool was not heated even though that was one of the things I had asked specifically about. The pool was even closed on Thanksgiving day. The next day I found out that the pump wasn't working but we were welcome to swim thankfully. Very chilly though! The patios were a mess when we arrived so we had to contact Padre Escapes. They sent over people to clean it up. It should have been taken care of before arrival. The last complaint is that the one dock that was usable had a 'private dock' sign on it. (There was a fight over a dock at some neighbors.)"

"Condo could be better but overall nice
Overall it was very nice. I do recommend having fire ants and sugar ants removed from the property and the inside of the condo. The couches also has dirt and hair inside the cushions.

"A memory for a lifetime!
Family from Seattle visiting for 2 weeks, only intended to stay 3 days, but fell in love and had to extend our stay. Catching fish of your back yard amazed and enterained them so well! Thabk you so much for the experience and stay extension on short notice. The staff was very accommodating. All visitors will be staying with you! "

"Great location
The property managers were super easy to work with and made the arrival simple. The condo had a great view of the bay and an amazing 2nd floor balcony. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. The carpets were stained but clean. Overall it was a great experience and I will stay here again! "

"Great spot to recharge your battery!
We spent two months this winter here and really enjoyed it. The furniture and all was as depicted in the photos - and the view was even better than pictures! There were a few minor maintenance items that needed attending, and they were taken care if quickly and professionally. We are looking forward to making it three months next year at this same great spot! "

"Review for Rental on the Bay getaway
Location was ideal and fishing off the dock was good. The condo itself was clean however we noticed several spiders and bugs around the bedrooms. we had a two individuals come and work on the patio outside our first full day and it was accessible while they worked on it. We were not told of them coming and it didnt allow us to fully enjoy our time on the outside patio. Beds were not that comfortable and the room had no wifi. "

"Family Trip
Found this property on VRBO and rented because of the location. We were down to fish(have a boat) so the fact that it is on the water is great. The property looked nice in the pics online, but overall the property needs an update(old carpet, repainted walls). We also had some issues during our stay: they were doing work on the patios and had tools and lumber everywhere when we got there, we called and they sent workers over to clean up and end up being there for two hours, then because of the people coming in and out the A/C couldn't catch up so the first night was hot. Other small things that did not work included the lights in the kitchen and living room and almost every channel on the TV was so fuzzy you could not see it. We enjoyed our stay, but this is one of the priciest in this complex and we expected a little more."
