Welcome to Palisades. This spectacular home sits directly on Unicorn Cay Beach, a mile-long stretch of pink sand on the prestigious Banks Road of Governors Harbour, the prime location on Eleuthera. Famous Tippy’s restaurant is a 5-minute walk down the beach. The town of Governors Harbour, with restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and banks, is less than 5 minutes away by car. Unicorn Cay is usually deserted, so don’t be surprised if you have this mile of pink sand entirely to yourself.
Palisades’ grand bay windows provide a 50-mile, 180-degree view of the turquoise ocean and pink sands below. These hurricane proof glass windows are engineered to withstand up to 200 mph of direct wind. The glass has a special tint to help keep the house cool. Right outside of these windows, you will find yourself standing on a cascading deck that spans three levels and 60 feet onto the sands of Unicorn Cay Beach.
This luxury home features all natural stone throughout, including marble, travertine, granite, and river rocks. With 3200 square feet of interior living area, Palisades offers plenty of space for large groups to spread out, including game rooms with pool and foosball.
Enjoy our spectacular new oceanfront infinity pool with stunning ocean views. The pool can be heated at your option for $500/week.

The Great Room
Enjoy the expansive, modern Great Room luxuriously decorated in a contemporary style. The room features 26 feet of cathedral ceiling with windows that showcase the Bahamian waters and clear skies. Sit back and watch your favorite movies in high definition Blu-Ray and DVD.
The Dining Room
The dining room consists of a beautiful hand-carved dining table seating eight.
Nearby, bay windows with comfortable seats allow a breathtaking view of the pink sand beaches.
The Kitchen
This spacious kitchen includes a huge island, exotic granite countertops, and state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee from our coffee maker.
The Master Bedroom
This bedroom has a king and en-suite master bath. Walk into the tropical bedroom and glance over at the breathtaking beach view right beside you. Walk out to the balcony and enjoy the morning sun and feel the breeze.
The Master Bathroom
This classic bathroom includes a toilet, 2 sinks and a quality glass shower. A spacious closet is provided to store your belongings.
Guest Bedroom 1
Step into a gorgeous little room for two and relax. The bedroom includes a queen sized bed, next to an oversized full bathroom, and a balcony.
The Kids Bedroom
This colorful room is especially designed for kids of all ages to enjoy a fun place to hang out after hours in the sun. The room includes 2 sets of bunk beds and a pull-out bed to sleep at least 5 guests, (a large full bathroom is shared with Guest Bedroom 1).
Powder Room
A half bath is located between the kitchen and the main living room.

This room is located on the second floor of the house including a balcony with a stunning view. It includes a queen bed and a bathroom right next door.
The Family Room
The family room offers comfort and entertainment to visitors with its contemporary theme and style. Play a game of foosball or enjoy a movie on the flat screen.
The Billiard Room
Sit down and relax at the Billiard Room or enjoy a fun game of pool after a long day at the beach.
The Loft
Palisades also has a loft that can sleep 4 more guests on our available inflatable mattresses. The area is furnished with a living room set and a flat screen satellite TV.
Amenities include AC throughout, Starlink super-fast internet, back-up generator, filtered water, 2 flat screen TVs with cable TV, pool table, foosball, ping pong, washer/dryer, 3 kayaks, many beach chairs and towels, and 2 extra inflatable beds.

Cancellation of or changes to your reservation must be made in writing (e-mail or fax is acceptable). If you cancel more than 90 days before your scheduled arrival, 20% of the total rental amount will retained by Homeowner and the balance refunded to you. If you cancel 90 days or less before your arrival, 100% of your total rental fee will be retained by Homeowner. No-shows, late arrivals, or early departure for any reason, including but not limited to inclement weather or illness, are non-refundable. Homeowner recommends trip insurance to protect Renter against loss from such events.

"Family Vacation
I really don't know where to start. This place is magical, the house, the water, just the whole experience. The house is beautiful, just a short walk to a local restaurant/bar, Tippy's. You walk down the stairs to a beautiful beach, that you will probably have all to yourself. When you get tired of the beach, you head up to the pool with the most spectacular views. I will give you one bit of advice, don't get in a hurry about anything, you are on Island time. This place is so laid back and relaxing, you just have to go with the flow. The boats bring supplies on Tue and Thur, so don't be surprised if they are out of something on Monday. If you're looking for a beautiful house in a relaxing atmosphere, then you can't go wrong with the Palisades. "

"Eleuthera Family Getaway
We took a long needed family vacation to the great island of Eleuthera in June. Stayed at the Palisades House which was amazing. It easily accommodated the entire group of 8.The views from the pool are amazing. Hard to believe the views could be any better anywhere else on the island. Working with the homeowners was easy as Don was very responsive. Overall an amazing experience. "

"AMAZING
Just returned from a wonderful 8 day stay at the beautiful Palisades Beach House. This home is truly a gem and is well equipped with everything you possibly need. Sherman, the property manager was Johnny on the spot with any questions and all of our needs. He arrived with flowers, champagne and home baked cookies! He even offered to take one of our couples to the airport when a taxi wasn't available. Eleuthera Vacation Rentals and the homeowners are quick to respond to any questions you may have. I highly recommend this home, the location is central to many of the finest restaurants on the island and you can even walk to Tippy's! We'll be back!"

"Island Paradise
Wowza, this is a beautiful property along with the best beach to spend some time in a total paradise! This was our 1st visit to Eleuthera and we could not have found a more stunning home. The property exceeded all of our expectations. Upon arrival it was a nice surprise to find champagne, fresh flowers and home grown tomatoes (grown by Sherman the property manager). This home has the most breathtaking views from the 2 master bedrooms and the entire living space. The decks and heated infinity pool were awe-inspiring to spend some relaxing days and evenings at. We were a family of 4 adults and 4 children, and we had more space than we needed to be comfortable for 8 days of fun in the sun. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook with. The home was spotless! We had a rental car and found this property to be centrally located for grocery shopping, quaint restaurants and fun little beach bars. The beach has the softest pink sand we have ever seen and walked on with the most incredible clear blue water. We have visited many of the Caribbean islands and this is our new favorite. We are already planning for our next visit in this same property next winter. We have already recommended this vacay and property to all our friends and family. Thank You Don, for sharing your astonishing home with us. Don was amazing to work with in planning our visit to the island. Sherman, the property caretaker, took great care of us, checking in daily to make sure we were comfortable and if we needed anything. On our last day, Sherman brought us homemade cookies and wanted to say goodbye to us and the kids. We had an extraordinary family trip with lots of new priceless memories.

"The Perfect Location
We really enjoyed our stay at the Palisades house. The view from the house was breathtaking and the pink sand beach was unbeatable. The water was the most amazing color. We loved kayaking, snorkeling and jumping waves. The pool is beautiful. The deck will need replaced at some point but I can understand why they haven’t done it yet. There is so much deck space! We had a few issues while we were there but Sherman took care of them right away. He even brought us cookies that his wife made. We were a little disappointed that the dishwasher was broken but hopefully they will have that fixed soon. We loved walking the beach in the morning and going to Tippys for dinner. This place has some wear and tear but we still loved it. The kids loved playing pool and foosball. Overall we had the best vacation and the view and location trumped everything else! "

"What a view!
The house was as described. The outdoor patio area is stunning and very nice. Some of the outdoor furniture is well used. The shade umbrellas are all broken and we could not use them - maybe the owners might consider replacing them soon. The decking itself is real wood, and as such the elements are taking their toll. Somewhat rickety in parts - I recommend wearing some type of footwear out there, and do NOT lean on the railings. The home is fairly well stocked, but we needed more bath towels. A couple people ended up using beach towels for that, so we made it work. There were plenty of beach towels, pool toys, and other beach supplies provided. We brought some pool floats ourselves, and left 2 of them there for the next guests to use - enjoy! The house was very clean. We experienced a few bugs/spiders in the house, but this is to be expected. We even had a shower crab!(yes, a crab somehow ended up in one of the showers - it was funny). There were 7 of us - 5 adults and 2 teens - and we all had plenty of space to spread out - the house is a perfect size for a group! Plenty of food options nearby, and of course the famous Tippy’s is like a 5 minute walk down the beach. Mr. Culmer, the caretaker, was very pleasant and easy to deal with and to reach when we had questions. He did appear a couple times on the back deck while we were there - a bit disconcerting because we weren’t expecting him, but overall no big deal. The housekeepers were there when we arrived for check in around 3pm, and they weren’t finished cleaning yet. I was spoken to rather sharply by one of the cleaning crew for coming into the (fully open) house to inquire as to when we could check in. I was told “we aren’t done yet! What are you doing here?” I asked whether we could store our luggage in the garage while we went elsewhere to wait until they were done, and Mr. Culmer graciously allowed it. We just went to Tippy’s for lunch and came back later. Over"

"Great view on a great beach but the house needs some work.
Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay. The pool and views are the highlight for sure. We feel the house is starting to show a lack of care and maintenance. All home owners in the Bahamas are always fighting to maintain their houses against the harsh elements but it seems that this house has been neglected. The deck is becoming unsafe in many areas. The kitchen is dirty and not well equipped. The bedding is cheap and worn. "

"Easter in Eleuthera
This was our 1st visit to this particular rental, but our 10th time in Eleuthera.
Wonderful island with wonderful people. They are the reason we continue to return. Property manager Sherman was a delight to deal with, answering our questions and reacting to our very minor issues with a smile. Great rental overall, some wear/tear like all oceanfront properties, there is deckwork in it's future. Other than that, no complaints."

"Best infinity pool on the island!
The house is nice. The pool is incredible. The property maintenance is probably above average for the island. The deck need some TLC but it didn't bother us. Property manager was available when we needed him but did not hover, which was nice. Great location! It is on Banks road and a quick walk to Tippy's. Fantastic beach! "

We had a wonderful time. The house is a a little worn with needed repairs and upgrades but the beach is beautiful and secluded. It took several days to heat pool so reminder to let agency know early if you want to pay for heating. "

We really enjoyed the Palisades House and Eleuthera in general. The house was perfectly situated, a very easy walk to Tippys (great food and music) and just a short drive to markets for groceries. The house was very spacious, very well equipped and everything was in working order. I would definitely recommend you checking place this out."

"Beautiful Island
Palisades House fit 8 of us comfortably. The good stuff! There were more amenities and a accessories then were mentioned in the listing. Extra beach bags, snorkel gear, boogie boards, sand toys. Located right on the beach. The water is so clear and warm, even for December. The pool is beautiful but a bit cold so we mostly sat around it or dipped our feet in. The house is on the Atlantic side so some waves are nice to play in. Good snorkelling. Restaurants are great. Tippy's was enjoyed by all. Very safe island all round. All items were delivered and issues were attended to right away.
The only bump we had was the dryer did not work so no clean clothes for a week with many teenagers was a bit tough, hang drying doesn't work so well with salty air and the humidity level but hopefully that get fixed soon.
Overall I would highly recommend staying here, it's an excellent place to relax with a picture perfect view for a week (or longer). "

"Good location..
Location was good but condition of home, furnishings and condition of furnishings, and maintenance of home need serious work. For the price I didnt expect too much but was honestly a little disappointed in the house and its contents. Mold in shower floors, slow drains, dirty sheets and comforters , dead insects but at least they were dead i guess,thousands of flies mosquitos and no see ums out side morning and evening my wife and I went through 5 cans of insect repellent in our 8 days. half of the light fixtures had dead bulbs or no bulbs and the ones that did have bulbs were all different styles some of which were the annoying bright white styles, many of the listed features didnt work,missed parts,in poor condition such as the pool table kayaks stereo washer and dryer. Had to place a 5gal jug of water against the door of the washer to get it to work when it worked..we had a great time in governors harbour the beach at the house was great and having tippy down the street was an expensive but worth while bonus. The food is great and most of the staff are friendly. La bouganvillia down towards palmetto point also a good spot we enjoyed. I honestly hate to have to write a review like this but hopefully the owners will take it as constructive criticism. We weren't miserable but could have been way better without spending a lot of time or money. Dont think we will return without significant updates. "
