The hot tub would not turn on even with the side switch. There were some lights that didn’t turn in and the heat in the basement was not good. I did stay at another cabin that was better a few weeks back. This one seemed old. I did not think this was worth the price. We love the quality and amenities they provide to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. We chose Hickory Lodge for the outdoor firepit which was very nice to sit by in the cool evenings. Hickory lodge was roomy enough for 2 families of four, with sleep space left to spare for 4 more people! The children were able to enjoy their time in the downstairs area with theater equipment, pool table, and video games while the parents were able to relax in quiet on the main level. The bathrooms could use a bit more counter space, but nothing too bad; it wouldn't prevent me from staying here again. This cabin is more rustic in comparison to the newer cabins that Elk Springs offers, however it was very nice for our stay. Beds were comfy, we had plenty of room to spread out and it had the amenities that we wanted/needed for a 5 night cabin stay. This cabin is located north of Pigeon Forge/Dollywood area, in the mountains. It was off the beaten path but close enough to access the hwy to get where you want to go quickly. This area is on a ridge settled between trees, so there were no grand Vista views(if thats what you want), but we really enjoyed being in nature and enjoying the breeze rustling the trees. If it were me I would redo the bunk beds they are not feasible for teens and we woke to a scream from one of the girls with a bug in the room. We went to Walmart and bought bleach and such to clean up because kitchen table had not been wiped off previously and there was a dime on the floor in living room so it couldn't have been thoroughly checked before hand. If you get sick easily the roads leading to the cabin is not what you want to travel on but once you get there location is beautiful. The staff we encountered were EXTREMLY nice!! All in all I would not pick this particular cabin again unless it has some upgrades and maintenance (not trying to be mean just give an honest review)." Exterior was great - fire pit was nice, porches were great, hot tub worked as planned. Horseshoe pit needs a little TLC and the grounds need leveling. We would highly recommend this cabin to families looking for a relaxing retreat." The cabin was set up perfect for our family to spent the evenings together. The cabin is located about 10 minutes from pigeon forge which wasn’t a terrible drive but we prefer to stay closer to town for convenience. The only major complaint we have is we found several spiders and centipedes. Most of us had spider bites throughout the week. Checking in an out of the hotel was a breeze. You do everything over the phone and/or through email which saved a lot of time! The customer service was exceptional! Overall it is a good cabin and well worth the money! We would stay there again!
