" Dec 28, 2020 - Ashleigh K., Rainbow City, AL "we enjoyed the stay and the grandkids enjoyed the indoor pool The vacation was fantastic and the cabin was a great location with lots of support from the realtor " Dec 15, 2020 - Stephen D., Plaquemine, LA "Issues from day 1 We were supposed to check in at 3pm but at 2:15pm told it would be 430 because of a delay in cleaning or maintenance issues we understand we get a text around 4 saying we could check in the cabin was ready we get there at 4:15 and a guy was still there said he was still working on things like the hot tub and pool and air hockey table was broke dishwasher was broke he was there for over an hour after we arrived inconvenienced again so we rented the cabin for my daughters 7th birthday party it was just me my wife and our 4 children we only rented it because of the private pool which we couldn’t use because it was to cold to get into the air hockey table wouldn’t work we had to wash the dishes we used by hand because dishwasher was broke had to buy our own stuff to wash them with the washer and dryer was so nasty that a busy laundry mats washer and dryer were cleaner basically the entire cabin was nasty I used a wet wipe on the kitchen table first and it went from white to black we were already inconvenienced from the start we didn’t want to call anyone to come clean the cabin again so we had to get back out again to buy real cleaning stuff and cleaned the cabin up our self because due to covid we thought they would have cleaned really well there is no way they cleaned up they might have took out trash bags. there’s no way they swept or mopped the floors or wiped down anything the pots and pans were rusted we paid over $1200 for 2 nights to stay there for no reason it wasn’t worth $100 for two nights especially after we spent another $75 on cleaning stuff and spent all night cleaning but we still didn’t get to use the pool because it was to cold the guy said it would warm up because he had a water hose in it filling it up with cold water but it didn’t at all. On the night of our arrival my daughter was hit in the head by the ceiling fan when climbing into the bunk bed. She is 7 and average height for her age, so this will continue to happen to other guests unless it is removed. Luckily she has a bump and small cut, but no stitches were needed. Attention to detail - no working can opener, the downstairs (closet/locked room) made loud noises all day and all night, etc. Also, be careful as the pictures make it look like it is 2x the size it really is. And unlike staying at a hotel as we normally do, the peace of mind we had that our kids could play endlessly without having to sit and supervise like you would in a public hotel pool was awesome . Notes/suggestions: Cabin does not have a can opener. Regular coffee maker (not Keurig). "Arcade" is one machine that only person can play at a time and the games are pretty advanced (not for little kids). We were expecting a little more from that. Electric stovetop is OK but disappointment when you cook every meal. Pool is on bottom level so parents have to go downstairs into the small pool room and sit right beside pool to watch kids (you can't let kids jump in the pool while you relax in a room nearby watching TV or something and supervise the kids through a window or something). Trash bins are very small. Hold 3-4 bags of trash total. If the cabins beside you are rented, you will have very little parking, we struggled to fit two cars outside our cabin. Showers are rectangle shaped but they use rounded shower rods which means lots of water gets outside the shower on the floor. I liked the cabin but I would stay in a different Elk Springs cabin next time because I loved the service but would appreciate a cabin with upgraded amenities (nice pool that isn't isolated from rest of house, better arcade, better equipped / more modern kitchen, better parking)." The biggest problem was the crunchy bed noise. I don't know how else to describe it. Every time you entered the beds or moved there was a very loud plasticy noise. No sneaking into bed here. The air conditioning was having trouble keeping up with the heat. We had to close vents on the main level to try and cool the upper level. The upstairs bedroom had no blinds on the window peaks, so the sun came in very early and let a tremendous amount of heat into the upper floor in the afternoon. So if you're not a morning person; don't sleep in this bedroom. The bathrooms did not include a bathtub, so it was had to bath the one year old with us. The showers have no grab bars and the small over the shower head shelving unit could not hold more than two bars of soap. There are inadequate hooks in the bathrooms, so you might want to bring your own over the door hooks. The Jack and Jill bathroom had only two hooks for potentially six guests. The street signs are very subtle and hard to find at night. So make sure you have a great sense of direction or a GPS. They could use some more street lighting by the signs or lighted signs. Bring a dish drainer with you if possible, as there was nothing to put clean dishes in to air dry. Paper plates and plastic silverware were are utensils of choice. The kitchen table was a nice size. Overall we had a good experience and would recommend the property. The kids had blast in the pool and didn't want get out. The four year old was able to easily stand in the shallow end. There were pool towels on the property. The management company was very friendly and responsive to any communication we had. The location was near Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the National Forest.
