This city is a true slice of Old Florida still remaining intact. The town was named Floral City for its abundance of wild flowers which continue to this day. Floral City also marks the beginning of the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes which run north into the Gulf of Mexico for the next 50 miles along the Withlacoochee river.  Rates: $1200 / month and includes utilities (water, electric, trash service). This truly is a 'must be seen to be appreciated' bicycle, boaters, retirees paradise. A large 'like new' 2 bedroom home in a mature treed private enclave of well spaced upscale lakefront homes. Huge double patio doors in the family room (20 feet long!) offer a gorgeous view of the good sized lake that's right outside the door! Boat right from the back yard! Only a short bicycle ride from the centre point of the 46 mile paved flat Withlacoochee bicycle trail! Country feeling but close to all amenities, lots of restaurants and all the popular chains like Winn Dixie, Publix, Walgreens, Walmart Super Centre, gym, etc. in nearby Inverness (6 miles).
