Contact advertiser for specific directions.  Description As a direct lakefront house, Hidden Hollow offers the best of both worlds with stunning lake views while set on a wooded four and a half acres. We are on a quiet country road away from the city noise. There is a wide deck with rocking chairs to enjoy the lake and woods views. A five person hot tub is secluded on the side deck where you can relax and enjoy views of the lake or woods. There is also a screened porch with a table that seats six that is perfect for family dinners, listening to the sounds of nature, or watching wildlife. There is a wood burning fireplace inside and we have an outdoor fire pit that is perfect for roasting marsh mellows or telling campfire stories. Inside, this three bedroom and two bathroom house has a double loft. One side of the loft has a TV for your video game system while the other side is a sleeping room. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. There are also two twin beds in the loft room. The kitchen was remodeled in spring 2007 and has a microwave, dishwasher, oven and all the comforts of home. There is a large island with seating for six and plenty of room to prepare a large family meal. The great room has vaulted ceilings and a wood burning fireplace. The TV has DirecTV service (family package-which some folks find limited but hey, you are in the mountains!) and there is a DVD/VCR hookup. French doors lead out to the deck and the stunning lake views can be seen while relaxing after a day of hiking, swimming or fishing. There is a bonus/game room in the downstairs finished basement room where you can tie your fishing flies, play some of the provided board games or enjoy a game of minature pool, air hockey, or ping pong at the game table. This room also has direct views of the lake. Directly in front of the house is a private dock for your boat and water toys. The dock has a 10’ X 14’ swim platform with two sets of steps for swimming and enjoying the lake. Unlike some rentals on the lake, our is floating and useable 365 days per year even when the water is low. Many others can not say the same about their dock. The closest marina is Fish Springs which rents pontoon boats (currently $75 for a half day) so you can get out on the lake. Watauga Lake is spectacular and is mostly undeveloped and natural due to the fact that the TVA or Cherokee National Forest owns most of the shore. If you are looking for a great meal then try Shirley's which is a family style, all you can eat, restaurant about five miles from our house. There is also a pizza place in Butler if you want to order pizza. We provide a gas grill on the deck if you want to do your own BBQ as you take in the cool mountain air and the amazing views. Hidden Hollow is a cabin where your family can make wonderful memories on Lake Watauga. It's a place to detoxify from all the stress of our daily lives. Wonderful screened porch w/octagonal picnic table/porch swing. You'll love rocking chair deck and hot tub. Good kitchen w/U-shaped bar overlooking average-sized/nice LR w/corner fireplace/leather furniture. Master BR has king - 2nd BR small w/2 twins. TV/DVD player in LR and loft. Cons: 3rd BR on level of loft which is accessed by built-in ladder. 3rd BR claustrophobic w/two toddler-sized beds. Gameroom & 2nd bath downstairs and only accessed from outside. Our group had 6 adults - so sleeping arrangements difficult w/only 2 usable BR's and one bath on main level. If a daybed w/pullout twin trundle was added to game room and/or loft -- this cabin rental would be perfect. I highly recommend this cabin.
