Minutes to Okemo and Killington. 2 "conventional" bedrooms plus plenty of sleeping lofts and space for one or two families. Very Vermont! The 3-story log home accommodates up to 7 couples. It has separate sleeping spaces for 5 couples, and semi-private sleeping areas for 2 additional couples. The vacation house is completely furnished and includes all utilities. Linens, blankets, comforters, towels, pots, pans, and dishes are all provided. It has a full-sized washer and dryer, as well as a microwave, satellite dish, 2 TVs, 2 VCRs, DVD player and 2stereos with CD and cassette players. The vacation home has 2 1/2 bathrooms and 2 fully-equipped kitchens. The large-demand hot water system never runs out of hot water. Two fireplaces and a wood burning stove supply the primary heat, and plenty of seasoned firewood is provided. The home also has a back-up gas heating system that is rarely needed. Pets and smoking are permitted. The vacation home is partially accessible to handicapped persons. The home is on 21 private and secluded acres in the heart of Vermont ski country. The property is wooded and mountainous. Downhill skiing at Okemo Mountain is about 7 miles away, Killington is 19 miles away. Cross-country skiing on prepared trails (a golf course during warm weather) is 5 miles from the house, and many snowmobile trails cross the area. Horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowmobiles, and hot tubs are available during winter. For summer and fall vacations, all that Vermont has to offer is nearby. Enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, tennis and golf. Enjoy swimming, boating and fishing on Lake Ninevah, less than 1 mile from the vacation house. A canoe and a rowboat are provided. Lake Ninevah is a beautiful lake of approximately 250 acres. About 90% of its shoreline is not developed and remains genuine wilderness. The lake has a 5 mph boat speed limit. Fish include bass, trout, and more.
