This private family compound has it all, including great fishing! Features include: Five bedrooms, including two master suites (with in room sinks) and three bunk rooms. Sleeps 15. All sheets, pillows included. Family Room and multi-chef kitchen. All cookware and dinnerware provided. Full Laundry Facilities in basement along with two changing rooms (boys & girls), both have showers. Huge Screened porch seats 20 for dinner while the kids are playing pingpong (at the same time). Outdoor patio provides more seats and has a gas grill ready to handle your catch of the day. Lighted Tennis Court for late night family fun (Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball and wiffle ball too!) Large dock. Two decks attached. One for swimming (slide and diving board). One for sunbathing and fishing. House is situated on the main body of the lake, but has a protected cove for swimming. Even has a dog run (6' x 12') for fido. DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE HOUSE! Only on the screened porch. Lake Sara is in South Central Illinois. 1.5 hours from St. Louis. 2 hours from Indy and 3 hours from Chicago. This 800 acre lake is 3 miles long and features great fishing throughout the year. Temperate climate allows for year round fun. Golf: 9 hole course - 2 miles away. 18 hole course - 3.5 miles from house. A recent renter's review - "Thank you again for the wonderful experience. The lakehouse is beautiful and was perfect for our family get-together. The views from the house are wonderful and the deck and the porch got a lot of use. My husband says the fishing was wonderful. The blue herron that fed just below the house every morning agrees. All 10 of us were comfortable gathered around the dining table inside as well at just one of the long picnic tables outside--so lovely at sunset! There was so much to do we never got around to all of it. We are looking forward to the opportunity to come again."
